Wow more not the usual Minecraft Hypixel Skywars or Murder Mystery! Been a while since I covered a Gmod ARG eh? Enjoy my parody/own video of similar style to other horror coverage videos such as Night Mind and Nexpo. I am what I watch, and a content vulture. Also credit to stellarr 1 and Richter Overtime for "introducing" me to Gmod ARGs. Keep in mind this is all for fun, I may judge a lot, but I don't mean to degrade, sometimes things need improvement. I’d love an arg where it’s a kid trying to make machinima’s or just normal 2010 stuff, but then crazy stuff happens, but the kid has full awareness of how the game works, so he fights them (like a man)

I don't see it like that, I see it as they are making these in a sense of "How I would do it" sort of thing, like if you watch a video and someone does something you find interesting and you think to yourself "hmm what he did was cool but here's how I would do it" Sorry if my explanation of my way of seeing it is not clear enough or doesn't make sense it tends to happen when I have an idea of something and I can't put it into words

i like how later on near 46ish minutes, it kinda becomes almost like psychological a horror game type deal like afraid of monsters/cry of fear.

I love how gmodcoolplayer1 doesn't give a flying fuck about moving ragdolls while gunslingerpro2009 will straight up cause a ragdoll genocide and BadwaterVideos2009 will (behind the scenes ofc) exploit their sentience and movement for entertainment of him/themself and others

Ok, as someone who knows GMod only from friends and these unfiction project explanations, is/was gm_construct that famous for "animations", or is it just because there's the sp00ky dark rooms in the map?
For mostly 2 things:
1. It's Gmod's main map, it has been there since the very start
2. It's really iconic, because everyone that played/plays Gmod, went on gm_costruct, and because many animations and videos were made on it, the spooky bullshit just became the norm for it because people concider the source engine to be unnerving
a mixture of the two, but also because it is Gmod's flagship map

No it's because empty multiplayer maps are genuinely unnerving. Source games are particularly know for this but it also happens on other engines.
The dedication to these is astounding
I like how this one uses the choppy and low quality audio not just to date it and imerse you in it's setting, but to add to the horror with uncanny noises (eg, the breathing in "Secret on Flattgrass!!")
This was actually Really Tense in some places! Great spooky atmosphere.

Would these Gmod args be considered more of like, a from of analog horror, since instead of us taking any active role in the story for the most part where observers and in a way, the main character stumbling appon these videos
Yeah
Analogue horror generally needs some aspect of older technology like tapes, cassettes or old school TV broadcasts, since those analogue media are where the term for the genre comes from
"analog horror" doesn't mean horror videos, it means videos that take place on older technology called analog technology. this is just a horror series

Even though the stories of all these are the same, this one is a bit creepier since it uses the stock hl2 assets. I think the tf2 models just make these silly.

i just realized after rewatching this the entire time the player could have use noclip the one thing that the player uses that isnt some kind of tool during the elevator part he could have noclipped back to the elevator or just escape from when headless barney kidnapped him the first time. he also has the spawn menu during the first time barney kidnapped the player could have like tripped headless barney or somethin i dont know

Theory:the screaming and crying on the horror map is the tortured souls of the ragdolls,wanting to be "freed"

I personally heard "Save us all" repeated in the invisible object section.
This is literally one of the best gmod ARG's because of how unsettling it is.
I honestly dont think anything about gmod is scary, what i recommend you guys doing is putting max range on your light on the tool gun and spamming it in the dark room in GM_Construct if your so scared of the room

Something I want to point out during the hovercar video, was Gman moving? It looks like it not only looks at the player while they get show the hoverballs, but it seems to keep unlocking it's body from constraints. It was in a t pose with both legs pointed down, but then his leg was moved on its own, then his arms, that's near when the video ends, almost like the player noticed he was breaking out

I think that cool player was in the game before and now he is trying to cover up his dark past by enslaving the other people trapped in the game or he might already know about the living people inside and that's why he isn't trying to kill them but the person that might be forcing him to make these videos might is starting to catch on so he mode cool player use the rocket to try to kill one of the people but they can't die

Gmod ARGS are either original or unoriginal but even if it's unoriginal and we've seen it's concept, I always watch it.
