  • The Ghosts of Dallas - Dealey Plaza is an eerie place. Everyday in Dealey Plaza it is November 22, 1963. All it takes to get a sense of this place is to walk around. You see the Texas School Book Depository building standing silently, holding its secrets. The grassy knoll, the railroad tracks, the Triple Underpass stand as reminders of the terrible events that unfolded on that November day in Dallas.

    The first thing I noticed is how much bigger the trees are now. Dealey Plaza with its younger trees is so seared into my memory. Thankfully the area is a registered National Historic Landmark. It should be kept as it was on that bright afternoon in November 1963.

    What do I think happened? Well, I'm 64 turning 65 this year. I was 5 yo and in kindergarten when this happened. I distinctly remember school sending us home and I remember watching the funeral on tv. Over the years, I read a lot of books on the assassination. Did a lot of reports on it in high school. Right now, I'm just about finished reading a book that I think outlines the most plausible explanation for what happened in Dallas. The author is David Talbot and the book is " The Devil's Chessboard; Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government". I would suggest everyone read it. Robert Kennedy Jr. believes the CIA killed his uncle. I think he's right. Ask yourselves why is it that they still refuse to release all documents related to the assassination even though they have been required by law to do so? The 1979 report by the HSCA determined that Kennedy was probably assassinated as the result of a conspiracy. Part of the evidence they based that decision on (acoustic evidence) has been "discredited" but still. Nobody blinked an eye. Let's all remember too, that a certain laptop a couple of years ago was "discredited" as Russian disinformation by a boatload of intelligence officials; and as it turns out, the only b.s. being fed to us was by the intelligence officials. You can believe what you want. I believe it was a coup and that this country is still suffering from the repercussions of that event today.

      Dealey Plaza is a haunting place. There is no getting around that feeling. It's too bad that Dallas decided not to designate the Plaza as a memorial but instead opted to erect a weird memorial several blocks away. At one point, the City was considering tearing the Plaza down, but the Federal government stepped in and designated the plaza as a national historic location, which secured the Plaza's place in history.

    I believe it was factions of the CIA, FBI, SS, and DPD that laid these plans out and were successful in Dallas. Kennedy had many enemies within the US Government and the Military Industrial Complex, he really didn’t have a chance. If you really research deeply, you will find his murder was so complicated and well orchestrated by them. Then, add LBJ who would put together the Warren Commission, they did more damage by perpetuating the lie of the lone assassin. They kept changing how many bullets were fired to cover their tracks. The body was grossly mishandled in Dallas, as well as, Bethesda. The autopsy on the President was conducted by a bunch of idiots. I don’t believe Oswald fired a gun that day. He didn’t kill Kennedy or Tippit. He didn’t pass the paraffin test. He was conveniently murdered within 36+ hours, case closed……

    • @dallaslivetonight
      @dallaslivetonight  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. The reality of the assassination is complicated because of the era. The Cold War, Bay of Pigs, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. The colonial era was drawing to a close and the Soviets tried to make everyone believe that their way held the pathway to righteousness. This created a toxic stew of CIA, KGB, MI6, and others. All of this would lead to decades of wars, civil wars, and the radicalization of beliefs. Back in Dallas in 1963, Lee Oswald was a lone wolf. He was a mentally unstable individual in need of something to leave his mark on the world. He found it in Dallas in 1963. It was a convergence of the hands of fate. It was easy to create conspiracies in Dallas, starting with rogue cops, mobsters, and a place where a president could be assassinated, but none of it is true. Many people hated Dallas because of the right-wing nuts who were here in 1963. They were very vocal, rich oil men who hated Kennedy, but there is a big gap between hate and killing. I knew both the police, and oil families of Dallas. Shooting and killing a sitting president is not in their wheelhouse. My final point is that with the assassination of JFK and the change in the mood of the country, LBJ passed more progressive legislation than JFK ever could have mustered. LBJ got Medicare for seniors which would never have happened if Congress wasn't in total Democratic control. The Voting Rights Act, and the Great Society are also in there as well. Yes, Vietnam escalated and would bring Johnson down. But Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK on that dark day in Dallas. There are two things that prove this beyond a doubt. First the shot that Oswald took at General Walker was confirmed by neutron analysis in 1964 to be the same as the bullets in Dealey Plaza. The final piece is that three school book depository employees were on the 5th floor watching the motorcade. The 6th floor was having new wood flooring laid down that day. These men are standing directly underneath the shooter. They hear the cocking of the bolt action and the sound of the shell casing hitting the wood above them. The witness across the street sees Oswald fire the shots from the 6th floor. The description he gives to the police is broadcast to all Dallas Police minutes after the shooting. This is why Tippit stops Oswald in Oak Cliff, where 5 eyewitnesses will later ID Oswald in a line-up.

      Totally agree. The City of Dallas has ignored the historical places and some have been demolished. Dealey Plaza would have been destroyed except it was designated a National Landmark and could not be touched. The reality is that the assassination site should be place that is devoid of people trying to sell you something, and be a place for reflection instead of a onramp to a Interstate Highway. The Kennedy Memorial in Dallas is several blocks away from Dealy Plaza and looks like leftover concrete from a construction site. During last summer's mega heat wave, Dealey Plaza was nothing but brown dead grass and trees in need of some TLC.

    Two front shots from a South Knoll assassin, one throat and one right temple. One shooter in grassy knoll shot but missed. @dolnick7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no exit wound to account for a frontal shot to the throat, and re Zapuder, Kennedy's head was turned to the left and down when the fatal head shot was made (ignoring for the moment that Zapruder 313 clearly shows a massive exit wound and not a wound of entrance). Any bullet fired from a magically invisible South Knoll assassin would have to have exited Kennedy's left side, yet there was no exit wound anywhere on Kennedy's left. Direction a person's head goes on being shot is meaningless regarding what direction the bullet came from.
      Connally's said the shots all came from behind.
      Witnesses under the sixth floor window said the shots all came from directly overhead.
      No bullets or fragments were ever found that did not match to Oswald's rifle.
      Kennedy is very clearly seen to suffer a massive exit wound exploding at the right temple consistent only with a shot from behind.
      Autopsy shows the shots came from behind.
      Parkland doctors had no particular problem with the autopsy photos.
      Anybody firing a rifle behind that flimsy knoll fence would have been absurdly obvious and very visible.
      It's vastly implausible anybody would assume they would frame this on a lone shooter while firing from multiple directions.

I remember it well. We were all let out of school that day. It was so sad. Jack Ruby was not just some guy who hated Lee Harvey Oswald. Then what they did to him was just horrid.

      "One shooter" couldn't have pulled off 3 shots over 8-9 seconds (as victims' reactions in Zapruder's film clearly demonstrate) at a slow moving target a maximum of 88 yards off? Never mind that no bullets or fragments were ever found that didn't match to Oswald's rifle, the witnesses directly under the sixth floor window firmly said the shots all came from directly overhead, etc.

  • @NavChronicle
    @NavChronicle ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The final shot came from the sewer and the vehicle almost came to a stop for that shot to be made. The trajectory of the shot came from below also nobody but Bobby Hargis was sprayed the the brain matter and he was on the left backside of the limousine. There is a small footage from the Nix film that shows an officer heeving his motorcycle and looking directly down towards the sewer while everybody else is running up the grassy knoll. The truth will never come out even though everyone that was involved are all dead, there were 8 snipers firing about 12 shots they couldn't get the head shot and that's why the driver William Greer was paid to slow down the car almost the a stop so Jack Allen Lawrence could shoot Kennedy right in the head from 15 feet away from the sewer drain.

    • @aaronz7056
      @aaronz7056 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sewer would be a lousy vantage point.
      Connally's said the shots all came from behind.
      Witnesses under the sixth floor window said the shots all came from overhead.
      No bullets or fragments were ever found that did not match to Oswald's rifle.
      Autopsy shows the shots came from behind.
      Parkland doctors had no particular problem with the autopsy photos.
      It's vastly implausible anybody would assume they would frame this on a lone shooter while firing from multiple directions.
