Yesterday I did a disaster truck with shampoo in 3 hours, no exterior wash, after I fine tuned some issues with my technique. Basically spend less time vacuuming. In this video I spent a lot of time playing around with the max velocity now that I’ve used it a few times I don’t take as long. I also got one table so I can bring all my tools right to the vehicle. I would like another table though.
Your a hard worker. My advice is to use the steamer. That way you don’t use too much water. You’re getting the car wetter than needed. Just wipe it down after steaming with a microfiber and doesn’t wet the interior as much. The more water you use the more you have to remove. Water causes mold in a closed vehicle. Only time I use the extractor if there’s a spill of some sort.
Good stuff man. I don't know how clean the windows were to begin with, but make sure to roll them down a little and wipe the top part. That's usually where dirt build up happens. Also, for the door jams, I just hit them with the pressure washer, when I'm doing the exterior. I also do the interior last, so I just wipe them down while they're wet still. Not trying to backseat detail, just giving my experience, maybe it might mesh with how you detail.

I use a gopro10 I think. With a wide angle lenses. Yes I record the entire 4 hours +/- and then edit the video in premier pro and a super slow computer 🤣. The editing takes a long time. Then rendering and exporting the video can take a long time. 18-24hours I believe. I haven’t made a video in awhile but I will be back at it asap! The video takes about 1-4 hours to load onto TH-cam.
Ouch! That sounds like a stiff britstle brush brotha i just use a good eagle edgeless gets where that brush wont on the jambs and ur gunna wipe em anyway so why not cut out a step lose the brush one less step spray good wipe down good to go 👌
Yes it’s my home garage. It works great. No issues with the customers. They either get a ride to pick them up or I shuttle them. In 1-2 weeks I’m going to buy a curtsey car. I don’t do mobile because mobile has soo many drawbacks backs for the detailer. Main reason is you could potentially be in the customers drive way for up to 3-6 hours and that would be super annoying. No bathroom. No 💨 breaks. All the other issues like that. Also with mobile you have to be careful of the clients house. Detailing makes a huge mess. I don’t mind leaving my driveway messy for detailing. That would be awful to detail a vehicle then have to clean the customers driveway 🤣 Also finally I have a lot of big tools. I need to run a big generator for all my tools. My commercial steam cleaner is 240v. Even though I don’t use my steam cleaner anymore. Too slow. I would go mobile but only for maintenance jobs. 1-2 hours max. Hope that helps.
My only tip brother is I don't personally think you even needed to turn the steam cleaner on for this one. You could've did the same job a lot faster with some microfiber towels and PolStar leather cleaner by Koch Chemie

I would use it if the customer requested it or there was lots of candy stains. I prefer to shoot Chem with a tornador max.
@JoshJecklinDetailing I hope you're wearing breathing protection if spraying chemicals in Tornador. Not good in the long run if you're breathing vaporized chemicals over the years. Like Yvan Lacroix said, "don't spray anything in a Tornador that you wouldn't drink." 😄Unless you take precautions.
How do you keep the 3 other doors closed when your airing out the truck, all u see is the same dust flying all over the place, lmao, trying to escape with no way out. Was it the customers special request to recycle his trucks dust and debris?
I keep the doors closed for safety. So that a gust of wind doesn’t take a door and bend it. True some of the dirt doesn’t get blown out of open doors. I just use the Tornador to loosen debris and vacuum it all up after. To each their own. I can see what you’re saying and I’ve tried it myself. I would just rather do a little extra work to avoid and incident. Thanks for watching.

That wasn’t the person who actually picked up the car but yeah it was down to the minuet. It was still good time on the actual detail and quality. The owner was happy.
Thanks for the tip. I actually did commit to a larger dressing purchase to save money. I bought Meguiars hyper dressing 1 gallon size and I dilute it 4 to 1. Took me a bit commit because the upfront purchase seems expensive but you save soo much money. The gallon size hyper dressing is $150 CAD right now so I was skeptical at first but now that I’ve bought it. I’m a believer.
Brother you’re using a stiff brush on the door jambs likely scratching the paint and the rest…just use a microfiber towel. That is so hard to hear and watch!
Looks like the green CG brush, which is indeed safe on paint. One thing he could have done safer is to rinse the area out before using the brush, because a microfibre will scratch the same as the brush if you’re dragging dirt around. Safest way imo would be to; -pre spray, let dwell (the time it takes to go around the car) -rinse with more pre spray (or water, but you’ll want to reapply your pre spray afterwards for more lubrication). -brush down -rinse and dry I recommend a safe brush because it’s faster, safer (if you properly rinsed first) and easier to get into the nooks/crevices around the weather stripping and door hinges and that sort of thing.
@@Sovrakha if that is indeed the brush he is using then sure, however the entire situation gives me the heebie jeebies haha on my day to day clients, the daily driver cars, I’ll typically just spray a detail spray and wipe down with an MF towel. You’re absolutely correct that even the softest, plushest towels will scratch if dragging dirt around. On really dirty and muddy cars, black cars, etc I’ll rinse with a rinseless solution after using a cleaner or running water. I really hate using running water in the door jambs but it’s necessary sometimes. On more expensive vehicles I’ll rinse it away followed by a detail spray to dry it with.

Hello thanks for the concerns and advice I am using the green chemical guys brush. For the vehicles I use it on I’m comfortable with the results. I haven’t noticed it to scratch paint and most people door jams are full of grease and scratches. I wouldn’t use this detail brush on a very high end cars that had barely any scratches. In the future I will be more cautious and point out which brush I’m using and why I’m using it.
Yeah 4 hours. Big truck. Premium detail. Plus I was making a video so it slowed me down a bit. I detailed all the cracks with quality products. More than just a basic vac and wipe. Plus I finished the vehicle off with plastic dressing and leather conditioner. I’m still learning to go faster but for a quality job it’s a good time. Truck was pretty dirty. Had pet hair and stuff.
This is a super weird way of detailing….i doubt anyone cares but this is how i do an interior and get the best results in the best possible time Remove mats, personal belongings Bulk vacuum (if needed) Blow out, wipe down and steam all plastic leather and vinyl One last vacuum Extract carpet/seats and mats Dress everything Windows DONE BRO CLEAN / BLOWTHE CUP HOLDERS AND STEAM EVERYTHING BEFORE VACUUMING, this way your vacuuming everything up at once…never saw anyone clean and blow out the hard surfaces last 😂
@@LaRoseDetails thanks for the comment. I wasn’t blowing surfaces out with air. I was shooting APC in the small cracks with the Tornador Max and a siphon tube that goes to a bottle of APC. The chems/air cleaning gets into the hard plastic crack really well. Thanks for the tips.

Then I’m not getting my sweat on someone freshly detailed car. Or if someone has some really dirty in there car going on such as mouse poop well I’m not getting that mouse poop on me then bringing that into someone else car. What would you expect an employee cleaning a car to wear? Or what would you want a detailer to wear?

I bought them on Amazon Canada. They’re called dri-pods. I would buy more but they’re out of stock right now.
Gotta be vrp or some other kina water based dressing that you've diluted to use in your sprayer I do the same thing
