I had a '76 Volare with a 318 and a 4 speed on the floor with overdrive. It got 26mpg on trips. It had the magnum 500 wheels and a sunroof. It was a good looking car. Everybody would freak out when they saw the 4 on the floor.
Nice find Jeremy!! I had a 1976 Volarie Road Runner Super Pak in Spitfire orange. Mine had a bench seat with column shifter. 318 2bbl. Loved that car! Rust was evident but not bad. These cars are very under rated! Mine had the Tuff steering wheel as well. I saw a car like yours for sale in MN 15 years ago with a 360 and T-tops for $6k. Rusty as heck. But T-tops!!!! Had a 8-track too!
I have a 1978 Plymouth Volare coupe, has AC and all. Got it for $5,800 with only 31,600 or so miles on it. Even has the same exact tires that yours has!
I had a highschool buddy that had a Plymouth in black . It got a lot of attention. It finally rusted away in the late 90's. Good luct with the Dart. It looks awesome.. Regards from Ody Slim
Very nice find! Very unusual and hard to find. It would be nice to return it to the stock Super Coupe and not junk it up with all sorts of modifications. I have a '78 Aspen wagon with the /6 and four speed OD trans with only 30K original miles on it. Love those F bodies!
I bought one of these new but was hit in the rear and totaled about 8 months later. production was supposed to be 1500 of each but for some reason they only produced 531/430. BTW mine had the bench seat and black interior . nice rare find BTW new I paid a little over $6800 still have the invoice.
I’m sure you know this one TH-camr does strictly these cars. I think it’s Dutch Guys Garage. Anyway, very cool under appreciated car. You can easily make some more power from that 360 by simply removing the lean burn system, cat delete and true dual exhaust x pipe coming from long tube headers. Later on, if you have the budget, you can rebuild the engine with high performance parts resulting in 400 horsepower and you got yourself a true super coupe
Bench seat was available but very rare to see. It is Nice to see a other black interior car. Most Dodge Super Coupes are seen with the Caramel two tone. Always makes me happy to see another brought back to live, look forward to the future content!

318 w/4spd is a great combo
Sweet car, with almost unlimited potential.
So true!

Even with the little rust and hail damage the car looks sweet. I’d drive it like it is all day long
I agree!!!!!!
I love it, I've been a car 🚗 fanatic all my life but have never heard of this option for the aspen. You learn something new every day.
Looks like a FUN driver!!!!!!

I hated those cars when they were new, but now, wished that I owned one. How time changes things, lol.
I totally agree with you

Very cool!
Not much super about the 175hp . But I love styling congratulations can't wait to follow you on this ! 🇺🇸
My older son still gives me grief for not buying an SC when it came up for sale locally. That's a nice one.
Nice find
That is a vintage Marantz stereo. Higher end

Sweet car! Hankook makes 265/50/15
Very good find Jeremy. I look forward to seeing more on this one. All my best for 2023.
I don't think that 360 CI 4- barrel put out 360 HP. Not even close, right?
360HP means High Performance. Not Horsepower.
And no, was like 175 or something pretty weak
@@ShadeTreeVintageAuto OK, that's what I thought. Can that motor make much more power with some mods, or is that impractical?
@@OSXMan ya you can build those up nice the good old LA block
Nice one 👍
