Hey, thanks I have never knew on how much it meant to so many refugees to be a Filipino citizen. I was born in America, but my mother was a Filipino citizen still at the time and I will apply for dual nationality for both the Philippines & The United States Of America. Because I feel like a Filipino personally and an American by the way I might do things differently than most Filipinos, but that's just my personal opinion.
I know that feeling brother, I am born in Singapore but a filipino at heart because of my mother too who is a filipina and the love of my life is a filipina, and hoping to have dual citizenship too soon, just that i dont know the correct procedure.
Robert King Touch base with the nearest Philippine Embassy in the US and they will guide you to the process. I believe it costs about $200 plus the fee for a Philippine passport , if you are getting one.
I've been a US citizen for decades, not because I wanted to denounce my Filipino citizenship, but because I was raised here since childhood. However, from the time I found out that I could re-apply for my Filipino citizenship, I did so and now have dual citizenship. My five children (one born in the US and four in Venezuela) feel pride in being part Filipino and are dying to get their Filipino citizenship, if possible. As a matter of fact, we have been going to the Philippines almost every year since 2012, and one of my sons spent part of his vacation pursuing his dream of getting Filipino citizenship, going from one government office to another, without luck. It is not lack of patriotism because most Filipinos do not know their own history, but circumstances which have led them, like many other people from poorer countries, to pursue their dream in other , more advanced countries with wider opportunities. Also, the lack of knowledge about their own history is due to the failure of the educational system and maybe the will and time to know about one's historical past. So, it's easy to criticize Filipinos who have emigrated to other countries and taken up other citizenship for being unpatriotic, without knowing the circumstances.
So what and I greatly appreciate both of you embrace our Philippine culture. Both of you have a family, bussiness and self sufficient that is not a burden to the government.Congrats and God Bless.
WE WELCOME ANYONE...WHOEVER YOU ARE..WHEREVER YOU CAME FROM..BECAUSE PHILIPPINES IS THE CHOSEN LAND OF GOD..THE LAND OF CREATION..SO WELCOME HOME..BROTHER'S..OUR LAND IS YOUR LAND...IN THE EYES OF THE LORD..WE ARE EQUAL..
Yes, I agree with Yev Villanueva, lot of Filipinos are dying to just denounce their Philippine Citizenship and living. Almost of my brothers and sisters and relatives are now living in US, UK , Canada and New Zealand they are trying to convince me to live also in the states or new zealand. But i never tried, coz of patriotism in my heart. My motherland is my foundation, blood, and my inspiration. If I denounce my citizenship, i feel like a traitor.
carlos reyes Moving to other countries isn't to denounce citizenship/Filipinoness. Ppl simply do that in hopes of living comfortably, opportunities and because jobs are there. Most who moved there are always proud of where they came from, much more proud compared to most immigrants from other countries. Plus, its to help out family back home with balik bayan boxes. I bet you most would return to the homeland in a heartbeat once the country improves in providing jobs, safety, livable income, infrastructure, and quality of living.
Congrats Po.. Hope More refugees around the world find land & shelter to live comfortably.. You Are a good example to foreigners that can make life better in ph who are from their unfortunate homeland..
You know Philippines has a lot of issues. Poverty, over population, pollution, horrible traffic and lack of development just to name a few but accepting people from other nations who escaped tyranny and making them citizens is so heartwarning and is one of the things that make me proud to be Filipino.
Life in the Philippines is simple and jovial. If you are looking for a rich high paced dynamic society it is not found here. But if you are looking for a simple lifetyle with vivid community, Philippines it is. And it doesn't matter where you came from, know that the Philippines at its core is of multi-ethnic multi-cultural society. The more the better!
Other Palestinians who would like to seek refuge in the Philippines should be welcomed as well. Millions of Palestinians have been suffering, their human rights violated daily for decades by Israelis.
Dude is complicated in Venezuelan case... i'm Brazilian and i'm alerting you, if you have a space in Phillipines for 3 or 4 millhons of persons or more OK, ... Welcome to your new Homeland brothers. Thanks for choosing Philippines to be your SecondHome. Though not very Rich materially but we are Rich in Natural Resources and the True Wealth lies in the Heart of every Filipino- hospitable, kind, God fearing& generous.
Congratulations to both of you. Welcome to the Phil. May you have a happy life with your chosen spouses together with your kids as you build a life in the beautiful island of PH.
Congratulations to you Maher and Kamran for getting a filipino Citizenship. It was a good decision that you made when you came to the Philippines instead of going to other countries. Philippines welcomes everybody who has good intentions to come and live here.👍❤️🇵🇭
Congratulations!! As a Filipino, I wish you all the best while living in the Philippines! Hopefully one day we can be developed and rich enough help our fellow filipinos in poverty but also the refugees from other countries.
This is truly heartwarming. This kindness is indeed Pinoy Pride. Pinoys are not proud of their fame and fortune but of the deeper qualities of humility and kindness. Pacquiao exemplifies those traits.
The Filipino culture has always been a melting pot of diverse cultures and that is what makes them special compared to any other Asian country...Proud of these new Pinoys...

DEFINITELY YES! SOME COUNTRIES OFFERS NATURALIZATION AND CITIZENSHIP LIKE A CANDY AND CHOCOLATE BAR.

God bless this guys and God bless our country for sharing it with other people
Hey, thanks I have never knew on how much it meant to so many refugees to be a Filipino citizen.
Angelo Lau Get in touch with the Philippine Embassy in your country and they will guide you to it.
will do thanks for the advise Linda
Maher and Kamran, you are welcome to the Philippines. I am happy you are one of us.
wow congrats poh sa inyu! may god give you long life and good health enjoy poh
So what and I greatly appreciate both of you embrace our Philippine culture. Both of you have a family, bussiness and self sufficient that is not a burden to the government.Congrats and God Bless.
I am happy for you two that you found home in a not-so-wealthy country but rich in values and warmth.

THIS MAHER IS NOT PALESTINIAN HE IS SYRIAN
Congratulations to both of you, my kababayan.
I bet you most would return to the homeland in a heartbeat once the country improves in providing jobs, safety, livable income, infrastructure, and quality of living.
me too. i will never denounce my nationality. Im proud being filipino
Congrats Po.. Hope More refugees around the world find land & shelter to live comfortably.. You Are a good example to foreigners that can make life better in ph who are from their unfortunate homeland..
Im pretty sure they r close te language fluency. Im happy to see these ppl found peace ❤
Beautiful!.. I'm glad they found love and life in the Philippines.
I'm so very proud I am a Filipino.
Christian&Moslem are Brotherhood....Hug from Timor-Leste🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱💛💛👍
They are good people so welcome to our country we loved you here.... Some Filipinos can learned many good things from you guys... god bless you all...
You know Philippines has a lot of issues. Poverty, over population, pollution, horrible traffic and lack of development just to name a few but accepting people from other nations who escaped tyranny and making them citizens is so heartwarning and is one of the things that make me proud to be Filipino.
I'm happy that you became Filipino citizens by your choice. Keep safe & God bless. Mar 29,2021
Phillipines have everything..
You are lucky if you refugee in our country Philippines than other countries .. godbless
We are brothers and sister in the name of GOD
whatever ur nationality at least be a good person in this place...
God is always good all the time really, godbless your family kabasi, more fans in the Philippines.
Congratulations to my neighbor Kamran Karbasi.
So happy for them, mabuhay kayo mga kababayan namin. 😍❤
Other Palestinians who would like to seek refuge in the Philippines should be welcomed as well. Millions of Palestinians have been suffering, their human rights violated daily for decades by Israelis.
Great to know the Phils. continue to welcome all people seeking refuge from their originating countries!
Mabuhay mga bagong kabayans at mabuhay ang UNHCR👏👏👏👏👏
Mabuhay po kayo Kamran and Maher Muhammad!
Calling the people from Venezuela and Syria to come over here and make living. You guys are welcome in the country.
Dude is complicated in Venezuelan case... i'm Brazilian and i'm alerting you, if you have a space in Phillipines for 3 or 4 millhons of persons or more OK, ...
Colombia have 1 million of venezuelans by this time, in Ecuador have more venezuelans in Quito than ecutorians... and I alert you, many od they comit crimes, are racists and arrogants of country that give refugee to them...
@@luanlopes9415 I'm sorry to hear that. But we have the great President Duterte running my country now. And of course we will provide restrictions and exemptions.
Wag yung Venezuelans. Gusto mo bang magmigrate mg criminal gangs nila dito?
Than you for helping them . We are one since God created us all.
Nothing against the two. Ako at d2 n ipinanganak, I am now 51 years old MA's magaling p akong nag Pilipino kesa sa 90 porsyento ng mga Filipino. Pero hanggang ngayon ako at banyaga pa run sa bayan Kong sinilangan. Asan ang hustisya. Or try Mocha Uson Blog send email to her she is close the President office..
Sana matupad ang pangarap mo (wrong po iyon MADULAS sorry 😯)
Gerby Liu what can u get after being naturalized? the Philippines has nothing to offer anyway. ok na po yan.
@@JekylViovicente haha depende yan sa pananaw ng tao. Maaring puro negative lang ang nakikita mo dito pero ako iba. I am very optimistic. I got a business and its really growing fast. Huminto ako magcallcenter at nagbusiness ba lang. Mababait ang tao ko at marami na kaming customers. So kung sumuko ka na sa ating bansa ako never.
Maher and Kamran I admire your patience to be a Filipino citizen after such a long wait. May you live a happy and fruitful life in the Philippines.
Congratulation sirs
I hope we provide more naturalization for deserving refugee :) basta they love to be here for me wala naman issue dun. mabuhay kayo mga kababayan

I remember when I was in High School in the Philippines back in1990. We had a Foreign teacher from Germany. We didn't really know a lot about him except that he is a great teacher. Later on we found out that he was a Jewish Refugee from Germany. He already passed away but his teachings and memories still lives on in my Highschool.
And they also have filipino accent when speaking english hahahaha. Hope they're happy with their new identity
I disagree lol remember not all FILIPINOs are the same ACCENT lol
Congratulations to the both of you God Bless always may you enjoy leaving a simple life in our country

Welcome to the family! We are honored to have you as part of it.
A positive video but insecure Filipinos managed to flip it and turned into empty nationalism, even shaming Filipinos who chose to live abroad. If this story tells one thing, it's that the world needs to be more inclusive and borderless. Your country is just a name.
Congratulations to both of you kabayan . Stay firm we are proud Filipino ,mabuhay !
