    For those still reading and looking for speakers, you just need to write this into any search engine to find the cheapest speaker since prices are going up:
    "3 inch speakers square" I'd look for something in the in the 4 OHM range.

    Even cheaper option: www.ebay.com/itm/384025242922?hash=item5969b02d2a:g:cZcAAOSwMDJgTs2Q&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4DY426Yy8LSeIDawtcWAMmI%2Bx0do%2BtKpHdKm7H0APxqrraC9FKU%2FKfLh3%2Bg4BvylaHVhyBT6zu0qL6VGrNOwkuwEqcl8Kp2yVEtAdSOpemmrgHjXK%2FPobENXf5hX6wnxltEeuJ9bhNuuvEhU0Do1XvaAlxY%2F9Djq%2B1RwmLze5G7hj1Tky9OhosIGmaStQRUH2CTj55HBJntsJWSj88i3FBUa7chaTdWogLDuyTsWT3zit894uSkb4juNR6ZC6FRC%2F9sWIjLigx%2BbXTzCuLeLd%2BiFdjInrs2O2FC04goiDVfc%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_qMk8mDYw

    Do you know how many ohm the stock speakers were? Also anyway to upgrade the amplifier thats with the pad01?

    • @AleksUsovich
      @AleksUsovich  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't know what the stock ohms for the speakers were as it was not written on them. The amp is integrated into the circuit board and does not look easily replacable

    Y porque es tan caro si nada tiene dentro?

      For the same reason that a Rollex watch costs so much when a Casio watch has the same type of parts - the name brand

      Take it apart. You might have a loose wire or sticking power button.

    I like your attitude towards up-cycling kit. It will be louder with *4Ω* than *5Ω* because it loads down the power amp more. Also the plastic cones project higher frequencies better than the paper ones. Top quality upgrade.

    Any idea how this compares to stock? Might wanna upgrade mine just for fun.

    Unfortunately, the ebay linked speakers are now going for $39. I also thought there was a tweeter between the 2 speakers.

      You can find the same speakers from other sources online for cheaper. That hole between speakers is used for deeper bass, per Ryobi

    I think I can accomplish this on a P742, the single-speaker radio, without the soldering. A couple of female spade clips (of the proper size) should do it. Also, the link for the speakers you used is dead.

    • @AleksUsovich
      @AleksUsovich  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can certainly do with spade or marine wire connectors but I wanted something that could hold up to vibrations and wouldn't come off easily and opted to solder them. Thanks for the heads up about the link, found another pair for sale like the ones I bought: www.ebay.com/itm/150936590192?ssspo=kkMwG3NYQFC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Z2FH_n8uSOK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    Instead of more cheap china speakers you should have gotten a pair of good 3 inch kicker 2 way speakers it would sound so much better

      I could have but there's no guarantee that the built in circuit board would be able to support the wattage since most speakers are 30w or more. These are quite loud and have decent quality as is.

      @@AleksUsovich
      With speakers, the wattage doesn't matter, as long as you go up. Using 10W is likely just fine, as this probably doesn't hit 15W per speaker, but you could put a 30, 50, even 100W speaker in this with no problem. You can think of the wattage as how much power it *can take* without burning up. How much heat it can handle as well as efficiency of turning power into sound.
      Replacing just one, you made the right choice though since sensitivity can change with a higher wattage design.
      The impedance should be matched though (4 ohm).
      Cool stuff, I have one and wanted to see what kind of speakers it uses!

      Really glad for the info! I never understood wattage and the power relationship and just matched the new speaker to the one I had before. Am happy to say that the replacement speakers work flawlessly to this day.

      you should post a link to the speakers you'd use.
