I remember Nick from Grimm Reaper in the early 80s and the early days of MTV's Headbangers Ball including a Tour with Them, Armored Saint & Helloween that aired on a special edition of Headbangers Ball. Ha, I almost remember being their but it was me, on the couch watching the show hahaha!
Anybody else see him toggle the fake pickup selector switch at 0:52? Great video/player nonetheless. As a traditional les Paul player that would fool me too.

Christian Castellanos it's a fake pickup selector switch to replicate the look of a les Paul. The actual selector switch next to the volume and tone controls. He mentions it's fake in the video.
Christian Castellanos James prefers the switch be on the bottom due to his extensive use of explorers, but he doesn’t like the look of LPs without the top switch.
It’s not fake. They leave it to the buyer to take the back panel off and wire that switch to whatever they want.

I am thinking about buying this one. It would be my second guitar my first one was a cheap 200 euro ibanez gio GRX40. But i don't know if i should uograde my amp as well if i buy such a expensive piece. The amp i have is a Marschall MG30fx.
And i am looking fore a good mettalica kinda sound more fore playing rifs.
If the neck is glossy I would sand it and replace it with white satin, I would also try to turn that dummy switch into a kill switch. These are actually a good value especially if you can find one on sale or used, although I doubt James would ever be caught dead with one, I see no reason why it wouldn’t be suitable for any average hard rock or heavy metal band. Even pros could use it as long as there egos and endorsement deals allowed them. On a side note, PRS guitars are beautiful works of art but what they charge for a piece of flamed maple is criminal.

What chords is he using at 6:47 to around 7:05? Starts with a B something 7?
Starts from B power chord but with low E string, then G and the rest chords are a variation of Welcome Home (Sanitarium) chords. Keep in mind the guirar is tuned a half step down
Ehh, that particular guitar isn't really made for solos...more for riffs, I think. Could be wrong

Are the EMG''s run at 9volts or 18? A better sound will be heard when they are run at the higher voltage.

wonder how this neck compares to gibson slim taper neck?
Can answer my own question. I prefer this neck on rythm before Epi LP slim neck and Gibson LP 50s neck, but the later on lead or down the neck.

Why did you guys re-upload this? I was saying in the other video, this would be good if radio stations played new rock and roll. I live in South Florida, and there are no new rock stations, only 1 classic rock station. That's why guitar sales are down. Why be a guitar god if they don't play rock on the FM dial any more?

I bought this guitar as my 3rd guitar ever..... It blows both my random Jackson(Idk what it was) and my vendetta away. $1100 though.... idk. It's amazing but at the same time your paying for JH brand.
