    Another salient point, the Bullet 350 is a core model for the India home market. I think the reason the Classic was released first is twofold. 1: The Classic has its main appeal in the UK and European markets, which RE are specifically targeting with this model, and 2: due to the resistance on the home market of to changes to their iconic Bullet, they needed to prove that the J platform was a good upgrade so that older Indian customers would be more inclined to embrace the changes. Just my humble opinion.

    Not sure the drum brakes version will be available in the UK. All the Classic 350 version on the UK web site show disk brakes. I have the Chrome Bronze Classic and love it to bits. I do agree that they seem to have dropped the ball regards a badged Bullet.

    • @muckle8
      @muckle8 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Would definitely go for the drum brakes if they were available in the Uk even if the stopping power wasn’t quite as good - drum looks far more “ classic “ and with less maintenance too .

      Drum front and rear would suit me perfect.

    Compared to the last UCE models, where the engine is a stress member, it looks like the chassis cradles the J-series. Also, the rear brake lever goes over the silencer pipe, rather that under, which was a problem on the UCE models, as it was the lowest thing on the bike and scraped on right turns. I guess technology has moved on and OHC is more durable now, but I'm glad I got the last of the pushrod engines on my B5 Bullet 500. The Classic 350 Reborn was well received, so re-badging it as a Bullet is fine. Hope they make a 500 but I don't think the 650 twins should go in a Bullet. It should always be a single.

      The bottom rails are NOT frame. They are simply a place to mount the footpegs. The Hunter has the same frame but no rails thanks to the rearset pegs.

    • @muckle8
      @muckle8 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don’t think RE will make a 500 OHC motor as it would be divide potential 350 and 650 customers , shame though because I’d like to see the grunt of a 500cc cam motor

    You are aware that you are viewing the Indian market versions of All these Royal Enfield's?
    None of the bike's sold in the UK have those guards on the rear wheel on the left side in the UK?
    Also all previous Bullets have had square type boxes on the side's,
    I don't think you'd be able to change them, and if you buy a Bullet, why would you?
    I'm mostly disappointed that Royal Enfield don't appear to be making an all Chrome Bullet (Mudguards ect),
    I have owned a 2008 Royal Enfield 350 Bullet, and a later 500 Bullet,
    I at present own a 650 Interceptor,
    I'm getting a Hunter 350 as a second bike in about Three weeks,
    I'm looking forward to it,
    Cheers Paul Foster

      Congratulations on the new Hunter. TES I know this model shows the domestic version of the classic 350. People watch from all over the world so I don’t go into regional differences (too complicated). I believe a saree-guard is a legal requirement if you have a pillion seat in India.

  • @wozza59

    I looked at a black and gold one .Wow the fit and finish was as good as anything and that rear fender is much better at its job.The seat is actually better for all around use.The side covers fit the frame lines with their Triangular shape.

    I don't think cast wheels are an option for the stealth classic in the UK. Good improvement on the rear fender on the Bullet. Back of bike and pillion should stay a bit cleaner

      Don’t forget the primary market for this machine is India where these will be ridden by men with their significant other on the back, probably with a sari guard with the girl/woman sitting side saddle so that pillion seat makes more sense.

    Well presented WM! Owning a Marsh Grey(green) that was exactly the same reason I chose the Signals version because I don’t have time to polish the engine covers let alone the front forks🤦‍♂️ I wonder if a single seat from the Classic will fit the Bullet🤔 the rear guard still provides rear wheel clearance, the side form looks enclosed which I like! I’d say for Europe & UK, drum rear brakes will not be available. Thanks for your input

    Holding out in hopes for a 500 classic military green. 350 is ok but, prefer a 500. If was my only bike would get a 650 instead. But, I have several large V Twins and a 500 is still step down in power but, more then a 350. Not sure why they did away with a iconic middle ground setup.

    On all these 3D models they show the heel/toe gear shift lever. I thought that previously only the Meteor models had the heel/toe shift, and the Classic variants a toe only shift.

    In six years' time, it will be the bullet's 100th anniversary. A good time to launch a brand new Bullet 500? Would make sense then to tweak a Classic to at least have a Bullet in the meantime.

  • @PhilipBallGarry
    @PhilipBallGarry ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Just a quick note: The drum rear brake is not an option for the UK spec Classic 350 - neither are the alloy wheels. Whether we see these on the new Bullet is doubtful too - they seem to be reserved for the Indian home market?

  • @BlueRidgeRider

    Is the tank different? It looks like pinstripes are the only difference.
    The drum brake is only for India. No ABS on the drum, only the front.
    The rear mudguard on your computer render are missing the external braces. The Classic has them and so does the Bullet.

    I'm not sure the "always had a bullet" stands up as the UK 500 was discontinued in 1961 and the 350 in 1967. I would also say the range toppper would also be considered to be the constellation and the interceptor. I don't see a single 500 on the way back, the only thing that would be possible (emmissions and performance) would be reintroducing the 500 twin by modifying the 650 engine.

      @@WildlifeMoto with such small output it may make it less viable for motorway work although having a classic I know it’s not very pleasant pinning the accelerator for extended lengths of time anyway! Makes sense to make a tweak increasing torque for indian roads.

    If the Bullet & Classic are on the same frame & platform, would their seats be interchangeable then?
    I know this is the case on the 650 twins. You can put a Continental GT seat & cowl on an Interceptor, and essentially create a cafe racer styled bike that still allows you to sit mostly upright.
    Is this also the case with the Bullet & Classic 350?

      @@WildlifeMoto shame if they don’t it would fit beautifully between my hunter 350 and my interceptor 650. But I do think the 350 engine is an under stressed engine and would make a nice 500, and maybe RE had that in mind from the start, as many of the 125cc bikes here in uk are 135cc or 155cc in Asia and it’s only the ECU that is the difference.
