this was supposed to be a silly animatic, but i had the vision in my head and I always wanted to do an animatic on ‘the room where it happens’. I’m actually really proud of this one; hyping myself and others up. If this flops idk man 😭
I wanted to incorporate my old style with using bold black shading into the noir animatic, also the end kinda delved into abstract concepts so dont ask (THIS AU IS STILL IN THE DEVELOPMENT STAGE) but please feel free to ask questions because i need ideas to develop this 🙏
As you read from the disclaimer, this au was inspired by Aero’s tweet and I just needed to go all out on this lmao. Three months in the making sighhhh. also there is a bunch of mistakes here but i dont think people would notice…..

I think Clover and Starlo being detectives really emphasizes the justice theme
I did not expect to be seeing a noir-style detective animatic with UTY of all things today, but I'm living for it
THIS WAS SO GOOD LIKE. Seriously. Every single frame of this? So well done and the pacing- the way breaks in dialogue were used- the flow of everything was coherent and worked to the benefit of the animatic. And the scenes where it switched from Starlo surrounded by the four and Ceroba to Clover surrounded by the souls was just so peak!! Like!! The designs- I’ve seen them before of course but seeing them in action in the animatic ough…so wonderful…you’ve outdone yourself as usual, Cassandra! Peak as always!!!

Also just saw that description said that you needed some ideas and I have some type of idea.
Specifically it's Starlo maybe contemplating absorbing Clover's soul to get enough power to bring Ceroba to justice, I mainly thought this because of the end bit with them both doing fingerguns at "click boom!"
this is absolutely AMAZING WTF!??? the interrogation scenes, the way the depth and inner conflict complexity of ceroba is portrayed so well within just the framings, just... AHHH SO GOOD
I don't know what I just watched, but all I know is I wasn't happy before I watched this, and now I am. Very much so.

Holy mackerel, this is the coolest thing ever, and you even choreographed some of the parts?!? like? as if it's part of an actual musical? This is insane and I will gladly watch it a fifth time. This whole thing perfectly captures the energy from the song. I feel like I'm watching an actual show on the stage.
Also I love how Ceroba was portrayed here. I feel like that whole family would translate well into the noir settings just because of how shady they already are. I could totally see them being a secret crime family of sorts, or even just accidentally getting mixed into crime and then committing to it.
Noir au of undertale looks so unique but intresting. Cudos to you very good looking animation

I heard this song for the first time a week ago and fell into the Hamilton rabbit hole and this comes out. It cannot be chance.
That scene with Ceroba holding the smoking gun and the scene where all the other souls are dancing around Clover… holy [[CUNGADERO]] I haven’t felt chills that intense in a while. I cannot WAIT to see more, this is quality content.

Also, I’m already sort of getting the whole premise and slight story behind this AU. Especially when Starlo was surrounded by the Feisty Four… Something tells me that they were apart of Starlo’s detective agency before Starlo messed something up, causing them to disband… And those subtle scenes with Martlet, Dalv and Axis… I might have to look into that too…
