Couple things first why not raise the hood before taping? At sometime you removed the tape then applied again? Another time you didn't have any visible tape but carried on sanding?I would have thought a better test would have been seeing there's two headlights!! Dry sanding on one V wet sanding on the other? You just combined the two options on one headlight??All these discrepancies don't inspire confidence sorry to say!!🤔😳🇬🇧👍

That's the whole reason for my training courses. To prepare persons for real live things that can go bad if you don't know what you're doing. Every headlight is not the same.
