I've had a few Panasonic Toughbooks, they were...a lot. I use a thin and light Dell Inspiron these days - which is a piece of shit, yes, but I didn't spend much on it and I don't have much money to spend on a laptop. I would probably get a MBP/MBA or a competing Thinkpad or something along those lines if I had more money...but I don't.

@@accordinglyryan i just picked up the same unit. i paid 800, but it has touch screen, 16g ram and its clean. however the hinge is sloppy like yours. i just jb welded last night, should work, as it only has to fill in the gap in the socket. Thank you, it is helpful. and thanks for the video.

Not with it, I have them connected to the 2013 iMac. I'm not a huge fan of the Magic Mouse and I'm not giving up my mechanical board.

This laptop is like 8 years old, I'm sure the battery is worn on mine. I can only speak on that specifically
The 5424 is updated, and can take 2 batteries and is hot swappable.
