Grand Seiko still staying true with its precision polish, but the bracelet aesthetic is always been the last hurdle for me to pull that trigger. Not used to seeing Tim in glvoes though!
I recently purchased the White Birch, and it is by far the most comfortable bracelet of all of my watches which include Rolex,Omega, and Tudor. Not only is it comfy but I cannot see even the slightest micro scratches that all other watches get, especially around the clasp area. Worn it several times over past 2 months and it could pass as Mint under serious inspection. Most importantly I love the way that it looks as well
@@SketeStevens agree, the bracelets are fine, they are well made and wear as comfortable as any other brand I own. Seems that GS have improved this area, yet many negative comments on bracelets from years gone by seem to persist on the more modern improvements. Wonder if people actually try the watches on before passing judgement.
@@danhem100 wearing my sbge257 for over a year now since it release in H2 2020. Clasp gets scratched a bit too easily due to the lighter metal colouration, but depending on one’s wrist size, my 7 1/4 inch, I find it Impossible to get the right fit. In fact went up to maidenhead U.K. Seiko HQ to get it adjusted several time. I like my bracelet to be tight fitted and with wrist expanding through the day isn’t ideal. Oyster easy link solves that and so does the sizing of even a strap code endmill too. Comfort is improved, but it’s still behind Rolex oyster and president bracelet and I’ll even throw in the Sinn tegemented to be better in its comfort.
The biggest problem with Grand Seiko has always been the lack of micro adjustments in their clasps. If they would simply address this issue, I would own several Grand Seikos. Until they do, I’ll stick with Rolex ( I currently a 41mm Rolex Submariner, a 43mm Rolex Sea-Dweller, a 36mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual, and an Omega Planet Ocean). I’ve always wanted to add a few Grand Seikos to my collection, but it seems that Grand Seiko doesn’t want to listen to their potential customers. There’s no way I’m spending three, five, or eight grand on a Grand Seiko without micro adjustments in their clasps! Many people have complained about this and Grand Seiko is simply ignoring us, so fine, when it comes to a watch with a metal bracelet, we’ll look elsewhere. Rs
How is the thickness? Is it too thick to be worn under the cuff? I have a tissot small seconds with a thickness of 12mm and it’s just a tad thick on dress shirts so was curious about this one.
Considering you've got 6 likes, I assume there are a lot of people agreeing and personally, I agree as well. But something tells me they won't do it probably because it will ruin the knife-like aesthetics of the hands.
The watch is beautiful! The gloves suck! Come on boss, Tim made it to over 100,000 subs doing these reviews without gloves, because that's the way we like it!
Beautiful piece Grand seiko is becoming a force to reckon with truly high quality. the four seasons are exceptional pieces. However, the SBGH 269 I think does not get the love it deserve....
Very nice indeed! It would make for a great daily wear. Love the GS specific multi-faceted black polished case, and the dial finishing of course. Gloves and no more wrist shots apparently...COVID-19 precautions?
The finishing looks especially expensive on this one. A beauty. Loving the gloves, handling a GS without them could be a little toe-curling with all that zaratsu polishing.
@@markp9416 True and that puzzles me as well. A multiple thousands euro luxury wristwatch without micro adjustment is an embarassment really. Monta and also Christopher Ward even deliver that and their pieces. Go figure
I very much want to like these watches, needs.. 1-2 mm thinner 1-2 mm wider (diameter) Bracelet needs more heft, so it matchs the solid, sturdy feel of the case
Beautiful finish work, amazing detail, hand-crafted elegance... and boring, with mediocre (at best) bracelets. Every time I get one on my wrist it just doesn't work. Really wish it did because you can tell how well made they are, but every time the opportunity has presented itself to purchase one (often at a great discount) I've passed.
Nope, still doesn’t move me at all....at a glance it looks just like a Seiko....and therefore looks like an “affordable” watch, it is bland to me. And what’s the big deal about their 36,000vph? Zenith did that in 1969.....
I love how the reflection of the light almost looks like a reflection of the moon!
One of the finest. Rarity is high as well.

I love mine. Like significantly. I like it better than Rolex.

Unblievable ratios, amazing stunning piece..
I just ordered this. My god it looks nice in video.

That’s not a watch, it’s a masterpiece.
Great video, stunning watch, thank you, Tim.
The bracelet on the SKX mates with its case better than this one does. 1:30
Does this dial ever look purple ... looking into buying ...
Wish there was lumen on the hands for night visibility like the Rolex Datejust. Does anyone else agree with, or am I an outlier on this point?
Considering you've got 6 likes, I assume there are a lot of people agreeing and personally, I agree as well. But something tells me they won't do it probably because it will ruin the knife-like aesthetics of the hands.
outlier. I have this watch and don't need lumen. would not look this good.
I mean unless you are batman it doesn’t really matter
This will be a great companion to my snowflake.
What a truly beautiful watch!
The watch is beautiful! The gloves suck!
Come on boss, Tim made it to over 100,000 subs doing these reviews without gloves, because that's the way we like it!
Agree. The gloves really detract from the presentation, otherwise impeccably delivered.
The watch fits like a glove, but the gloves don't.
Does the bracelet have a taper?
Tim. Those gloves are distracting. Your boss needs to find you a smaller pair. Love the watch though 😍
Gorgeous watch. Excellent video. However, I don’t recall hearing the case diameter.
40mm

David Datura White fabric gloves would do nothing to prevent covid 19. So I think not.
beautiful watch, terrible dimensions
Quaker Oats yeah, that occurred to me. But no more wrist shots either, might be due to that?
The only thing that would make this watch perfect for me would be lumen on 5 minute markers as well as the minute and hour hands.
You noticed, there is no lume on the hands?
Love this channel and Love watches and respect Seiko, but I just I’ve tried but can’t get excited about GS…bracelet looks terrible to my eye…
Hmmm very impressive. Let's see Paul Allen's watch.
I have this watch and love it .
How is the bracelet compared with other brands (Rolex, Omega)?
Gorgeous blue
Should I trade my Rolex explorer 214270 mark 2 dial for this grand seiko?
No, never.
Beautiful

Why still no micro adjustment on the clasp puzzles me
I pretty sure AP and Patek don’t have micro adjustments on their bracelets

@@evh4611 agreed. I do really like this watch though. Love what GS has been doing the few years.
It resembles omega aqua terra
This can be your one watch
Hate how the back is so thick so the lugs sit high off the wrist.
This vs Omega Aqua Terra
Are you reading something or going straight in off the top of the brain. If so thats impressive 👏
Vs Rolex OP
🔥
Not a fan of the gloves! Also no wrist shot? I liked the way it was before
Those gloves look like two sizes too large🤔
please start recording in 4k for 2022. 1080p does not do so many of these watches justice when it comes to these beautiful close ups.

1-2 mm thinner
1-2 mm wider (diameter)

Alan Don’t ever try the Winter and Spring on since they are made of titanium!

Grand seiko needs to have more lume on their watches
A dressy watch does not need lume.
G E it’s more of a sport watch to me.

Thank you!!! GS is the epitome of boring.
Is this also known as the Peacock
Not this. Peacock is SBGJ227
Beautiful watch ! Sent you an E-Mail :-)
This must be the only watch you didn’t try on 😂 I’m so disappointed my fellow 16cm brother
What’s up with the gloves and not trying the watch on your 16cm in circumference wrist? The watch can’t catch corona virus Tim
Japanese, not Chinese watch, to boot.
