When my Grand Seiko seller offered me the four seasons, I immediately gravitated towards the green Rikka dial. I bought it last December, and it's still my favorite Grand Seiko, beating out my Whirlpool.
I have never seen a watch that grabbed my attention so completely at 1st sight!! Absolutely love it and can't imagine having something nicer than the dark green with the gold. Such EYE CANDY!! It took me all of 30 seconds to decide to buy it. I have only had it for 6 days now but am captivated....I had been thinking of a Rolexd...This kills any Rolex I considered buying.
I’m in love with this. This is a perfect watch for celebrating Spring and of course The Masters . The green the yellow gold. Beautiful. Forget an oyster perpetual that is impossible to buy. This is it right here
Hello, I think they are wonderful videos, you present us the best of horology, with all kinds of details and lighting. However I miss seeing the back covers of the watches, the vast majority have a nice decoration and even a window. It is a proposal, in the same way I love your videos. Cheers
Grand Seiko is just making amazing watches. This green version is one is just beautiful and made for people who buy a watch for themselves and not to impress other people. BR Uwe
Just reserved mine together with the SBGA413. Really glad they're being released all over the world now (although it sucks for US collectors). Thanks for the video, it doesn't show the beautiful dial texture though.
One thing I hate which is lack of lume, I have JLC master control date and they managed to have lume albeit weak but still is there why don’t grand seiko elegance and heritage lines offer some lume so those watches become Rolex OP legitimate substitutes.
Is this the most beautiful steel watch in production? 🤔 To me it’s just as beautiful as a 5711 or a Royal Oak. In an utopian world of perfection it would probably be 2 millimeter smaller in height as well as diameter and made of the recently introduced Ever-Brilliant steel alloy. But then in the real world, nothing is perfect!
Good video but I have one suggestion to make it better. You move the watch every 1/10th second! Hold it perfectly still so we can view the dial and watch the second hand move. The constant movement is VERY distracting. Thanks.
Owning a couple as well as some Rolex a watch like this is a decent alternative if you're looking for something different from the typical Datejust. Inferior bracelet clasp, a bit thicker, and no lume. However the dials are far more creative, the Hi-Beat movement is a joy to watch, and the the hand finishing is superior, both inside and out. Both have 100 meters water resistance. Servicing is definitely more of a pain.
Thank your your opinion. I really appreciate it. I think go to the boutique and see one in real life. But from a collectors point of view, from the same price i could get a pre owned ALS saxonia, JLC master, IWC. That's why I dont get it.. thanks
Richard Man Most GS models at retail are still half the price of a pre-owned Saxonia. And I’ve owned JLC master before. GS beats JLC and IWC hands down in terms of finishing and quality. Not to mention, more artistic.
The Guardian it‘s summer. Spring is Pinkish dial for Sakura cherry blossoms. The green is for the leafs of the summer trees and mountains covered with trees. Autumn is a dark blue for the nights
Man, that is a sexy and lovely green...the first green dial that I've seen in all these years that I would actually own. Now for the bad news...the thickness is off-putting. It's thicker than it should be. (And I say that with a GS in my collection. Mine's is thinner :-) ) I'll save this to my watch list because that green is really nice though. Food for thought anyway.
It would look odd any thinner. It is perfection in person. Not thick at all. Had like for a year never gave the thickness a thought as it’s perfect to my eyes.

Its even more amazing to see this piece on person

It's the Summer model.
I just bought this watch!! Walked into GoldTree Jewelry in Langley and it was sitting there begging to be on my wrist. I LOVE IT.
It's Summer
It's the summer one though, the spring one is the Shunbun SBGA413 with sakura themed colored dial and Spring Drive mvmt
I think this piece has great versatility.
The best of the best ! My favourite Grand Seiko ever. Thank you Tim
That case work is god level!

I just love that new case 😍 and dial colors. Actually the pink dial one is my favorite
Green dial is looking better & better to me, overly used blue blue for many watch maker hence GS been coming out with very interesting dial version.
Happy 100k Tim. You deserved it
Tim I can't believe you got the season wrong 🤣🤣🤣
Great review. Hope you can review the winter and sprimg

2 of them just came out in Japan. This one and the Shunbun come out here next week!
Another good’n from GS. Are the indices and hands here real gold like on a Rolex, or plated?
Plating
the grand seiko website says thickness is 12.9mm

cool review 👌🏼
Wow I just discovered this store. I live in Montgomery county. Will be doing business ASAP.
Does anyone know if that is real yellow gold being used ?
It is gold plated 😊 still beautiful
The polishing. Good God.
I wish this was spring drive movt.
Great looking watch

Verygood . how mach
I know a lot of collectors rate the grand seiko but personally I dont get it. Maybe I haven't seen one in the flesh to assess it...

@@soton__1792 thanks. I need to get myself down to the boutique and check them out..
By the way, I believe this is the Autumn version. The Spring is the pink version. Great review nonetheless!

One thing that bugs me, no micro adjustment on the clasp and that sucks big balls
Very professional pitch, thanks. I do, however, prefer the reviews without gloves, too distracting and less human. 2 cents for free.
Rylee Harbor
Now lume that hands and indices and Imma buy it. It is a shame that GS doesn't put lume on any but the most sports of their sports watches.
It's a dress watch. Lume doesn't really make sense, IMO.
I just bought this watch and feel that lume would take away from the quality finish on the hands. IMO
My GS SBGX261 would beat this in style !
Get rid of the gloves. Too cold.
Probably don't want to get oils from his hand on an otherwise brand new watch...I think you can live with watching these with gloves in the video
