Thank you Jake, I always love it when I find one of your videos. Your mannerisms in the way that you present the facts is very clear cut and well appreciated.
Jake greetings from the EUP - I'm working on sorghum at the camp and having some success. Appreciate your staggering of these videos and showing your progressive learnings. Thank you!
Great tips, especially the weed control and timing. An obvious option is to run two side by side screens with sourgham and switch separate so they don’t compete for sun. I am doing this instead where space allows. I had much better results with switch this year planted in the last week of May vs failed attempts to frost seed. I just tilled and planted. The better ground contact and warmer soil had switch emerging in two weeks. The seed had sat in my cold barn over the winter. Now I just need more rain.
Love your videos , looks great! I haven’t tried your method but have been frost seeding switch past 3 years in different locations in a old pasture . My 3 year switch looks like yours . The key I figured out was to spray in fall before frosting with glysophate, then again in spring with simozene then again with gly. And mow when needed. And you are correct on some help from Mother Nature.
Yes Ill be doing one soon, I did a test this year where I burned one half and left the other half with all the S/G standing and Ill show the results. I'd give it a go, many of my clients have used this method and they get just as or better results especialy when using the RC BigRock S/G.

Man…. I have been patiently waiting for a new video from you sir thank you!
A good conversation about the subject. Thank you for the great video. 🙂👍🇺🇸
It works perfect and agree the later planting date helps. Shoot for Mid-June for the best success with the combo planting.
Jake, any updates on this screen for year 3? I'm thinking of doing this myself this year..
