you are sitting on a gold mine with this fx35. There is not a lot of videos out there on these and the ownership. this suv gets a lot of views.

Resonator delete leads to annoying cabin noise...muffler delete is the way to go. And if you haven't noticed, the car with the stock muffler isn't really a dual exhaust...it's the muffler that has 2 exhaust pipes. Keep the resonator, and do a muffler delete. You'll end up with a cleaner, and true dual exhaust. Rather than a vibration under your FX, and that choking sound out of the muffler
I agree. It was OK. But better with muffler delete.
I want to do the catless down pipe, res delete and leave myffler on my 05 FX! Wonder how that would sound????

It sounds good until you hit highway and hear that raspy bee in a tin can. Theres a reason why its called resonator.
My doesn't sound like that on the hwy. It's deeper but raspy. Not bad.

I would say a resonator makes exhaust quieter.
A muffler gives it the tone or sound.

Most indepth video i have see soo far of resonator delete. You need to give us update on Drone issue. I saw one video where the guy said after doind this he had drone issue at low speeds
Thank you. It does have a low tone at low speeds but I think sounds good. At higher rpms is a little raspy sounding. I would like to add Flowmaster to deepen the higher rpm as well.

@@SPORTSSAB777 no, it's not that bad. If I would have deleted the muffler, I think it would be dronie because it was way deeper when I ran it open. I have a Nissan 300zx with dual Flowmasters and it would hum so loud it would set off car alarms. Lol

Should be the same size of the existing pipe, just flared to slip over. I think it says what I used in the video or description.

If you don't mind it loud. I would delete it all. But resonator delete sounds more normal.

It’s funny because I compared yours which is just resonator delete ... Great fucking job! But I listen to resonator delete with Flowmaster 80 series. That sounds more stock to me
Saw airbag flashing I had that on my dash panel on my fx35 I watched reset video it shut it off just comes on when u start it my plugs need changing valve cover I have 239,000 miles just replace tires battery few issues flex connector has leak gas coming out connector it was just replaced 2 years ago y pipe why would leak soo soon? Car starts up descent car but needs more work
Could be your clock spring. I think that's what mine needs. Behind the airbag.

No. If anything it got better fuel mileage. Less restriction.

No light, and yes it will pass.
Hey just curious if you takeoff the resonator does your car still passed emissions testing?
Yes. As long as you still have your catalytic converters. It should be good. The resonator just dampens the sound to make it quite.
Great video man, I just picked up an 08 fx35. Did the plenum spacer, stillen ztube and I've been changing my mind everyday to do the resonator delete or not. SOLD, coming off next weekend! I hear it prematurely burns out the muffler, small sacrifice for a noticeable change in tone. 👍👍

Very informative, what all have you done to your FX? I currently have an 08 but don't know what I should do to it yet
Not too many mods. Wheel spacers. LED lights. Wheel Bearing, Belts, etc. But the best improvement was new Spark Plugs.

@@packwoodperformance4x474 how has those plugs held up for you? I'm looking at the reviews on Amazon and some say they are legit plugs and others are saying that they almost broke their motor and had to get their coil packs replaced now. I'm looking to get spark plus for my 08 FX35 but don't want to have the chance of buying "fakes". Any problems?
