I watched this on a plane and cried so much the air stewardess brought me a drink and patted my shoulder. A brilliant, beautiful movie about error, regret, selfishness, transcendence, and the rock that is waiting for us all, all our lives.
This man was a true survivor. He had the will to live through his memories and he never gave up hope. He truly is one of the bravest people I have ever seen.

check out the Mexican who spent like 400 days on the ocean, from mexican coast to somewhere in east azia and survived! I saw that some years ago here, they were planning to make a movie about it. same as that movie ALive from 93 about those football players stuck in andes...

I can't believe inception was only 5 years ago. I feel like I saw it 7 or 8 years ago. Now I am in the dream and the world is lying to me telling me it's only 5 years old.
That scream at 2:12, just gives me goosebumps, because you really hope that he's going to make it, this movie makes you feel like you are struggling to get out WITH him. This movie is truly a masterpiece.
So glad this is a full length trailer and not one of those pesky edited ones. The film could have been shorter than the trailer though since it's obviously 99% padding.

I just watched this movie afew minutes ago... i started crying when those 3 people started running toward him, this was by far an incredible uplifting movie
I really thought that he was going to die in the end, and I literally cried like a baby, when the helicopter came. Holy shit. I died of happiness. And not to mention that James did a REAL good job in this movie. You could really understand the pressure he was going through, and how difficult that must have been. Aron Ralston is a good example of a person who does not give up. He was strong, and he never gave up. He got the chance to live.

this is the kind of movie that really makes you think of life, and the will to live. Aron had such a strong will to live and some people, like me, would give my life away just like that. Man, comedic actors do such amazing work in dramatic roles. Steve Carell for his Best Actor nod in Foxcatcher as well as his stunning role in The Big Short, Jonah Hill with his two Oscar nods for Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street, Jason Segel in The End of the Tour, Seth Rogen, who is surprisingly excellent in Steve Jobs, Zach Galifianakis's dazzling and electric performance in Birdman, and now James Franco in 127 Hours. Man, these comedic actors are on such a roll and I hope that one day, one of them will win an Oscar and rub it in people's faces thinking that their only a one-genre act.
A triumph of a film! Final scene is magic. Life literally cut from death. Sigur Ros' music in this final scene captures the surreal joy and emotion that Aron surely felt even through his delirium upon his escape and rescue. This is a wonderful film.
I have just completed a hike in Greek mountains where I went on(what later turned to be closed) trail and descended in a canyon that had on the way 4 vertically dropping walls (from 4 to 6 meters high) that I was absolutely not prepared for. I only made it as I once completed climbing course but now many years later when I am in my mid 40+ this was a huge challenge. Had to extremely concentrate not to slip, and push myself to the limits to find right way to climb down as I was all alone and couldn't relay on no one help. So happy I made it (all together nearly 13 miles hike) Was thinking of this movie when finally reach asphalt road ..pheww.
I just finished watching this movie, and I laughed, cried, and was grossed out with all the blood. What Aron Ralston did was incredible. He didn't give up and kept on going, trying to free his arm. James Franco embodied his character SOO well- what a well-deserving actor who played his part well :)

I think that it's amazing that Danny Boyle and James Franco are able to keep you so entertained for a long period of time in a place as small as being inside of that canyon. They did a great job making this movie. 2. I love the song that started at 1:37. I bought it on itunes, and i constantly listen to it.

So it really shouldn't surprise you, unless this is the first (or second) trailer you've seen in the past decade or so. If it looks interesting, I know I have to stop watching so as to avoid spoilers..
Naturally opinions of this film would be torn down the middle. It remains true to the events without making a pointless attempt to be cinematic (Ignore the scene in the Dome) Boyle created something not following the normal parameters of Hollywood film making. This, for some, can be terrifying and will dismissed instantly. For others, it will open their eyes to a wonderful new style of film making. I loved every minute of this film.
Brett Wilson he's an actor. Unless he wrote his dialogue, he's not a genius, just a dude performing lines. He's really good, but the word "genius" means something completely different.
