I wanted to continue the updates from what we are seeing in hospital to keep you in the loop if you are interested. The big change over the last couple weeks being many people concerned with headaches or blood clots after vaccination. Pretty much everything in this video is subject to change as we learn more... However this is my best breakdown of what we know to date! Hope you are all well.

Just to add my experience. When I was offered my vaccination, I asked if I had a choice of vaccines, and was told it was normally whatever the vaccination centre had in stock. My preference was for the AZ vaccine, and that's what I had. My choice was mainly as I was more dubious about the mRNA vaccines as they're more novel. Good news I guess wrt adverse reactions to mRNA to date is it presumably demonstrates potential for those to be used with other diseases. And being on warfarin, presumably a lower risk for clotting with the AZ vaccine.
But my own good news is my immunity mask arrived last week, so now I can wear it for my upcoming endocrinology appointment. I'm curious to see if anyone at the hospital recognises it :)

There was no time to do long term tests for all sorts of things. The reason these "treatments" never got approved previously is because in the animal tests, all the animals died. The spike proteins stick to different organs in the body and then the body attacks it's own organs, as invaders. So this causes the damage often seen as blood clots. The other issue is auto-immune disease. The drugs damage your immune system so that your body cannot fight off normal infections. We will see many people die this winter when they meet a normal cold or flu virus. If you had the first injection, please don't get any more of them. And I wish you the very best for your recovery from leukaemia.

I suffer from severe headaches. I also suffer from anxieties and even though I'm getting Pfizer, I'm still terrified and recently I've been getting nightmares related to vaccination. The headache terrifies me far more than fever :(

@@SpaghettiToaster I don't think you got the point. I didn't say I got a headache because of the vaccine (in fact I hadn't taken one when I was posting)! I was simply sharing my anxieties, because the headaches I get are unbearable (before I started comparing them to "brain cramps" people didn't really get how severe the pain was - seriously, when I broke my tailbone the pain was nothing compared to when I get a headache) so I'm scared of the vaccine inducing one.

    • @SpaghettiToaster
      @SpaghettiToaster 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Stormchantress No, I get it, but I'd say you shouldn't be worried about that. Because first of all, this complication is extremely rare, and also, if it does occur, it doesn't cause chronic headaches anyway, because it needs to be treated immediately so you don't die. Also, there are many kinds of headaches and whatever caused the ones you experienced likely has nothing to do with what causes the ones if you get this side effect. And neither should the one put you at greater risk of the other. The only thing that's likely to happen is that you might get headaches for a day or two from your normal immune reaction to the vaccine, similar to when you have the flu, but those aren't nearly as bad as what you describe.

Been hospital three times and sent home saying they can’t find anything wrong, then finally got admitted to hospital and had ct scan on brain, no signs of stroke or tumours.
Also since had MRI scan on brain, neck and spine, seeing a neurology consultant next week and hopefully going to get some honest answers and treatment.
It is all very scary, I was perfectly well before this injection on absolutely no medication at all.

As I was having moderate to bad headaches after the second AstraZeneca jab four weeks ago, I was beginning to wonder about blood clots. But last week I had my annual routine Type 2 diabetes review (borderline, no tablets) along with the associated blood test. The test results came back the next day and my platelet count is within range. Most other blood results were also in range, with two or three just on the threshold. HbA1c was 43. Now I wonder whether labs which do routine blood tests have been told to watch out for low platelet counts if the patient has recently received the AZ vaccine. The lab won't know the vaccine status of individuals, but the GP practice which receives the results back from the labs will know. If the practice then asks the patient if (s)he has been experiencing headaches, this could be an early warning. In my case my GP pronounced the results satisfactory and told me to book in for another blood test in three months. I am 75, male.

I already have pinprick dots mainly on my - had them for years, but I thought to just get a few things checked and a blood test before my second jab. Doctor didn’t know what the dots are - weird, as she’s a darn doctor 🤦🏼‍♀️ Didn’t ‘think’ the pain I had was linked to a clot and AZ. My blood test is back and it’s flagged up that my wbc is low, not dangerously, but still lower than it was in March when I had my first dose. My platelets has gone down too, but still normal range. My anxiety is through the roof and I can’t go through with the second jab unless I can be reassured 😖

@@nickijames5122 No, I had practically _no_ reaction after the first jab, not even a sore arm. On the evening of the day of the first jab I suddenly got very tired and slept for an hour (at 6:30pm), but I woke up feeling fine, but a little zonked. And then came the second jab! Again, initially, no reaction until about 2 weeks later, as I described in my earlier email. Yesterday I started to feel truly back to normal with only a tiny headache, and today the headache has gone.
Now yesterday I Skyped with my nephew in Germany for almost 2 hours and he has had his first jab (age: 42). He, too, had nothing to begin with, but then at around 10:00pm he had gone to bed and woke up a short while later absolutely freezing, you know, when the body cannot stop shivering. He put on more blankets and got his heating pad that switches off after 2 hours. Some while later he started getting a ferocious headache, about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. He said maybe it was even an 8. The worst headache he's ever had. This went on all night (it was Saturday by then) and all of Sunday at somewhat lesser intensity. Then by the Monday morning the headache had finally subsided.
Now elsewhere in a different thread I left a long and detailed comment about my trip to the hospital to get the headache checked out. I'll see if I can find it and link it back to here. May take me a while though to sus out the inner workings of YT. But all in all, I have now read too many times how headache is a major side effect of AZ, so it maybe normal for most recipients to experience it. By the way, I could only take paracetamol (Tylenol). I can't take ibuprofen because it interacts badly with my heart meds.

The back and forth on the AstraZeneca vaccine (for everyone, then just for 60+, now suddenly 18+) and unclear messaging on what risk this is has really not helped. I'm 25, female, and have signed up for my first AZ vaccine on Saturday, but despite knowing about the rarity of this side effect and planning on monitoring myself for weeks to come I'm super anxious... psychosomatic effects are not fun! At the same time I don't know when they'd make the mRNA vaccines available for 18/20+ (it's at 40+ atm) so waiting even longer feels wrong too.

The main symptoms to look out for are severe headaches 3-16 days after receiving the Astra-Zeneca vaccine and/ or petechiae. Petechiae are small blood red dots on your skin caused by capillary bleeding. Or if you're not stopping to feel sick past three days after vaccination with Astra-Zeneca.
It is actually treated the same way "heparin induced thrombocytopenia" is treated. Except we can actually treat it with heparin after an autoimmune reaction to heparin is excluded.

I personally have experienced the death of my partner of 39 years after he had received his first dose of PZFIER COVID-19 vaccine. On day 7 after the vaccination, my partner complained to me that he had a massive head and he immediately lost all consciousness. He was rushed to the hospital, the neurologist explained to me that my partner had developed a 2.3 cm blood clot in his brain; therefore, the neurologist asked me to sign a consent form for an open-brain surgery to be performed immediately. The surgery was unsuccessful because my partner also developed low platelets, so he bled to death during the surgery exactly like what was being described in this video.

No painkillers as it wasn’t bad enough, and no other obvious symptoms, but it concerned me as I suffer severe anxiety anyway. It went away nearly 2 weeks later. I’m due for my second dose now and shitting it. My Dr doesn’t ‘think’ the pain I had was anything related to the AZ and clots and I would’ve had to go to hospital had it been related, she said. I wouldn’t know if it could’ve been a warning 🤔 I got a blood test done to reassure me and I’m more worried than ever. My platelets are in normal range but have still dropped abit since March, when I had the first dose, and, my wbc is low although not dangerously low, but the lab still flagged it up. It could be nothing, but I’m now so stressed whether to get my second dose, or wait and have my bloods redone in a months time. I had blood test, thought it was malaria because I had fieldwork in the endemic area before, but it turned out my ptatelet count was just under the lowest normal range (148). The doctor didn't suspect it was due to the vaccine, and gave me antibiotics and zinc. Fever was gone completely after about 2 days taking the treatment.
I know heparin induced one can be treated by antibiotics, but vaccine-induced thrombocytopenia... might be needed antibiotics as well? (Read: I'm still not sure my low ptatelet counts were due to the jabs).

Correction: the tally is now 209 cases, 41 deaths in the UK alone. I was very disappointed that this info was only released in dribs and drabs. Initially, the problem was aggressively branded as a 'political smear campaign' against AZ by several European countries in British papers - for two weeks, including papers like the Guardian.
For weeks, our European scientists and researchers tried to find an explanation why the UK hadn't seen anywhere near the same number of cases as the EU. Was it a bad batch? Was it a problem to do with one manufacturing site? They trusted the official statements from the British government. Only to see, over the Easter weekend, a tiny update that told us that in fact, the incidence and case fatality rate of this side effect was the same in Britain as it was in the EU. (Bear in mind - the initial reaction was not 'we will look into this / we don't have the numbers yet'. It was silence, and then a very strong suggestion, via the media, that the EU was trying to 'talk down' the *Oxford* vaccine)
The Guardian even rebranded the discovery of some Norwegian, Austrian and German researchers - that this was indeed a (rare) side effect, likely an autoimmune process, with an idea how to test for it - as the discovery of a British researcher.
Nothing to do with your channel. You are an amazing human being. But some people in Johnson's government clearly aren't.

While I was in the hospital during a Sickle Cell (SCA) crisis my nurse made an offhand comment about the vaccine being dangerous to those of us with (SCA). I obviously couldn't really process what she was saying at the time, nor did I take her seriously. (Most heath care workers know so little about SCA, so I really only trust only those dedicated to hematology). Could she have meant that those of us with the disease are more likely to have blood clots or will the vaccine actually trigger a serious SCA crisis like she mentioned?
