In this video we look at the entire evolution of Wanda and Cosmo from The Fairly Oddparents. Created by Butch Hartman and Nickelodeon, we look at Wanda and Cosmo's entire life history, their past and future. I've put the faries life in chronological order. In this video I talk about how Wanda and Cosmo, becoming fairy godparent's to Timmy Turner, and their baby Poof. I also discuss the Fairly Oddparents movies like Channel Chasers, Wishology, Jimmy Timmy Power Hour Trilogy, and The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder.

Maybe not so related to Cosmo and Wanda specifically but I love the theory about Timmy´s secret wish (the one where he wished for everyone to stop aging so he could keep his fairy godparents forever and that lasted for 50 years) being hinted since the earlier seasons. The biggest hints about this (under this context) being:
The time where he time travels and meets his own dad as a kid, with his dad saying to him that he doesn´t look old enough to be a personal trainer (the lie he told him to agree to his training) and Timmy replies that he is actually 40 years old but looks like a 10 year old.
The one where he freaks out after meeting his adult self in channel chasers where he states that he isn´t supposed to grow up (that under this context isn´t because he is inside of the TV but rather due to the secret wish).
And the one where after Timmy receives a melted trophy from his Dad as a gift a futuristic version of himself that still looks like a child destroys the trophy stating that he´ll thank him for that. Implying that at least in some timeline he actually stayed as a kid for an incredibly long time.
I don't think these were purposeful. MAYBE the last one, but the others don't really fit as "hints"
That fan design for adolescent Poof and the entire bit about how Poof has a lot of time to still be a baby before he has to start growing up are both so funny now with Peri’s reveal in the most recent sequel series 💜
i was a teenager when this show was big but this was one of the very few kids shows i still enjoyed as a teen

I was going to mention that myself - not to mention the two other characters that were introduced in "Hassle in the Castle". Pierre and Sammy were also in that episode, but they were quickly returned to their portraits quickly when it was realized that they weren't good kids at all, but downright the worst kids ever. Maryann took longer to recapture because she used the opportunity to escape and get Wanda's wand as well.
Wanda finally woke up and used one of her passwords to knock out Maryann and Timmy and Cosmo quickly put her back in her portrait.
Other portraits seen in the episode in The Hall of Fame"... Denzel Crocker, Billy Gates (These two mentioned in story), Artie Aaronson, Googie Sarakaya, Heather Wilson, Tina Turner and many other unnamed portraits line the hallways of the castle.
You did an excellent job with this timeline Lydia, the one thing I’d add would be the episode that showed Cosmo’s and Wanda’s previous god kids before Timmy when Timmy went into their fish castle and wished back their worst god children.
So around the 2000s I had a bunch of shows that I used to watch including the Fairly OddParents, code Lyoko, totally spies, and a couple others

I wish you went into some of the other Godchildren that Cosmo and Wanda had, because there are some other good stories… Celebrities like Tina Turner were once godchildren to the two fairies… Or the story of their 1910s godchild Maryanne, who wished for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and started World War I
It’s honestly hard for me to see Cosmo and Wanda without Poof. It feels empty without him being there

Has anyone hated Poof? I loved him and thought he was a great addition to the series. Sparky and Chloe are what the series wouldn't have needed. But Poof is amazing.
One of my favorite stage actresses, Mary Kate Wiles, plays Vicky in Fairly Odder. She deserves so much better than what the show gives her to work with. She ate and left no crumbs, but even she couldn't save the trash material.

Channel Chasers would've made for the perfect ending for the series, but no Nickelodeon wanted to continue the series despite how bad it went downhill around the 6th season.
Nah season 7 is when it went downhill. Starting in Season 7 nearly every secondary character start to disappear. The writers would not stop insisting Timmy's Dad, Anti-Poof and Mr. Crocker as if they became new protagonists of series. Since Foop came, the anti-fairies never appeared again. I know alot you people are bashing the 6th season but in reality the negativity of the series began to rise in season 7 when almost all of the original writing team (including Scott Fellows) left by then and Butch hired new ones that had no experience in the show whatssoever. You can look up Ray DeLaurentis. He became story editor starting in Season 7 and he was infamous for working on bad cartoons before before Butch Hartman hired him on the Fairly Odd Parents
From what I read it was actually gonna be the series finale but ofc Nick said no bc TFOP was just was big as Spongebob at the time and just like Spongebob, they milked TFOP for everything
@@luckylol Nope have to disagree, It would have just been for the best if the series ended after season 4 or 5. Personally I stop watching the series around season 6, adding in a new character like Poof was just bad. It works live action shows and of course the Regrats but for a series like FOP no. Again Channel Chasers Would have been a perfect ending for the series no matter what others might think.
@@elementaliguana5880 Poof isnt even that bad though. Not many episodes really revolved around him to the point of him hogging the show. Poof is something that Butch Hartman always wanted. He's an ok character and doesn't really hurt the show's quality that much when compared to Timmy's Dad & Mr. Crocker (in later seasons), Anti-Poof, Sparky, Chloe and disappearance of secondary characters, etc. Season 6 (in my opinion) is the best of the post Poof season and it's the last good season despite it's few bad episodes. It also manages to undo the flanderization from Season 5 (with exception of Cosmo, Tootie and Vicky). The series should have ended at Wishology. It was the last great thing to come out of this series.
Before the Poof introduction. The show had it's ratings drop in decline. Jimmy Neutron surpassed FOPs ratings. People at the time were claiming that the show was getting repetitive and the jokes were falling flat.

Assuming that Timmy is 10 in 2017 cuz they added stuff like modern cellphones into the series in Seasons 9 and 10 as props and we know from a New Wish that Cosmo and Wanda stayed with Timmy till he was 17 and they filed for retirement directly before the events of A New Wish and came out of it again after assigning themselves to Hazel it’s should be safe to assume that Tommy and Tammy will be the godkids after Hazel depending on how long she needs Cosmo and Wanda.
Cosmo and Wanda also had a Caveman boy, Earl of Sandwich, Ben Franklin, Walt Disney, Tina Turner, and other Good Kids Godkid Hall Of Fame, they also had Pierre, Sammy, and Maryann, even Meagan Bacon from Infammy that were bad.
Never got the hate for Poof, but I get the hate for Sparky; the dog was brought in and barely used he was like the 5th Ninja turtle in the show in late 90s.

Was Uncle Carmine and Uncle Piertro related to Big Daddy? I know the whole joke about Big Daddy, and his job is that he dresses, acts, and sounds like a mobster. I just always assumed it was part of the joke because mobsters Mr.'s usually have their you're a lieutenant hanging around their house, a lot getting to know their families, and the kids usually just call them Uncle since they're always around and are honorary family
Plot twist: Timmy also has some memories of fairies, and he's acting abusive on purpose in an attempt to meet these two again, similarly to the teacher

It's a shame how Cosmo and Wanda's relationship turned out after the first few seasons. They devolved into Wanda just being a nag and Cosmo being the typical idiot husband that's found in a lot of animated comedies. Found that out in a video "Nick Toons Romances: Healthy to Toxic" by WickedBinge.

They are with young Crocker in 1972 until his secret is exposed causing them to be reassigned leading to Crocker getting obsessed at times while they were godparents to Timmy & Chloe as a result in the future as everything looks bright for Timmy as his children are the 2 godchilds with their godparents.

I use to love this show before it all went downhill after around Season 5 (with some Season 6 exceptions) and since this hasn't captured what made it appealing. I would love see Lydia tackle a downfall timeline of Cosmo and Wanda's marriage like how she did with the Family Guy. Since, oh boy did they get hit with the Peter and Lois syndrome when it comes to marriage. Though less sadistic than say how Lois treats everyone later.

It went downhill in Season 7. 6 was fine for the most part and it's the same levels as season 1-5.
@@luckylol Season 6 was okay, but it def opened the cracks for the shows downfall and had some of the show's worst episodes up to that point. Most notably how it birthed the horrible trend of Vicky episodes and adding unescessary characters. As Poof was fine during debut, but then becomes useless after Season 6. It's highlight was Wishology. Season 5 wasn't the best either, as everyone started getting flanderized but it still had what made the show good.
