      Those hospital trips have made us alot better.. wait until the winds In his face or he's feeling the momentum and tries to do a wheelie like he's on this machine. He's going to eat shit. You know what I'm talking about.. this isnt even what it's like doing a wheelie... This is like doing a bench press on a smith machine and then trying to lift the same amount of weight free weight on the bench. Its 3 times harder. Lol

      I just disagree with the clutching. Only needed to do that once on a bike like Prince drove back in the 80's with a 1981 CB650 custom and heavy fairing with car stereo on it. Cool device they have there, better than just hanging the front tire from a beam in the garage and practicing your balance point before trying it a few times on the road.

    • @chrispykriss
      @chrispykriss 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Im going to be honest with you, I have never done a wheelie, mostly because I have only 1k kilometers experience on a bike and my tyres are on the cheap side (came with the bike). BUT, I think it's kinda obvious that pulling on the handle bars like it's a bicycle and not a 200 kilo machine hoping to do a wheelie won't get you anywhere. Also, I am pretty sure that he barely gave it any throttle. Since it's an R6 it can do a wheelie by just going full throttle at low speeds (Unless there is an anti-wheelie setting, I am not sure).

  • @wehaveasaying
    @wehaveasaying 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1484

    Stop trying to lift the front end with your arms. You aren't strong enough, it induces to many variables to be reliably repeatable, and that engine has more than enough power to stand that bike on end. Also, while you're on that trainer try to figure out how to look past the bike. You are going to die if you're riding a wheelie down the highway staring at your gas tank.

      @austinlane5533 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Wrong. He's trying to take the load off the forks. It takes 2/3 of the power instead of a rolling 6k or 8k rpm clutch up. If the front end is already on rebound, less power needed. R6 is a shitty bike for whoolies anyhow.

      It only teaches you to balance on 1 axis instead of the 3 you normally do. If you learned to balance on one of these you'd probably fall immediately after trying it in real life.
      The 1st axis is roll (forward and back)
      The 2nd is tilt (side to side)
      And the 3rd is dip (up and down like pot holes or dips in the road that slightly increase your G's in a wave pattern)
      My first wheelie was on a Vulcan S 650. It's a heavy bike and I almost looped it. First wheelie went just shy of high noon and came slamming back down blowing out my left fork seal because I was too sketched out to accelerate and froze. If you're wanting to practice wheelies expect the same results if it's your first time.

    For all the idiots saying "it's way harder to do it for real".
    Uh, no shit Sherlock. This is a TRAINER. It's not even a simulator. It's a simple trainer for riders getting familiar with how it feels to be in the wheelie position. That way you don't have to wreck at 60mph to give it a try... Most would pop a wheelie for the first time, panic and wreck because they felt like they were falling backwards. The trainer gets people past that...
    And PS: doing a wheelie on your dirtbike is not even remotely close to how hard it is to wheelie a 600 + pound bike...
