The relics of the three wise men are in the reliquary in Köln cathedral, Germany. I went there today to pay respect to these holy men. Imagine how they felt seeing the little divine infant Jesus. Perhaps Mary allowed them to kiss His little holy feet. Perhaps they were allowed to hold HIM. I often wondered how the lives of these men where changed after that visit. Its not everyday you actually meet your creator. The Great I AM infront of you. All of us living right now will be meeting HIM on the day of our deaths. But these lucky men saw HIM, adored Him and perhaps held HIM. . . . . and lived to tell their children and great grandchildren.. How wonderful!
@@bobdee3471 The relics believed to be of the "Magi" or better known as the 3 Kings were first situated in Constaninople, now known as Turkey. They were brought as a gift to Archbishop Dassel of Köln from Emperor Barbarossa in 1164. Now you find them in the Köln Cathedral also known by the locals as the Dom.
So uplifting! You can also find a reliquary of the Kings at the Saint Anthony Relic Chapel in Pittsburgh, PA. We Have been there several times. 🙏🏼👑👑👑🙏🏼
Wonderful. There is also a beautiful story from tradition that the three wise died relatively at the same time and were buried together. They remained incorrupt until separated and then their relics were reunited. They met annually after Epiphany, never married, and were baptized by St Thomas. The apostle found them because he saw an icon of the Nativity set and, when asking where it came from, was told it related to the story told by those three kings. He found them and preached to them the full gospel. Also, God miraculously shortened the journey of the three wise men to only a few days when travelling to see Christ, but it took them several years to get back home.
Father the paintings that you show as you illustrate our stories are so beautiful maybe somewhere In the description you could share with us so that we can also get a little art history lesson... God-bless you.
