If Labour wants to enter into next elections with a relatively fresh team, they should not elect a new leader until 2022 but hammer out arguments and documentations about the real UK problems. They should dominate the discussion in the country. They should make clear that the UK population knows their manifesto for the next GE a year before the election. Till 2022 they could have something like a triumvirate with clear allocation of functions or better areas for the working of a future Labour Government. After - that a short two-week election within the Labour membership about who will be their key figure for the campaign.

@@jamesrichards3183 personally i could,nt care less what religion the cabinet members are----just that they are the best people for the job---brexit may never make us as prosperous as staying in BUT at least it brings us some measure of accountability that we can vote out our worst performing party/politician----is your idea of media bias that you are so disinterested in LISTENING to ANY alternative point of view/discussion to only consider it negatively----you are now predominately an elite middle class based london centric party,this has a negative effect on working class voters who asked the questions about the rapid change of demographic of population and were often wrongly called little england racists for their doubts

I would like see John McDonnell but unfortunately he’s not standing. He’s honest, intelligent and is an excellent speaker at the dispatch box or when being interviewed.
He also makes Karl Marx look like he is to the right of Attila the Hun. The man is a huge accident waiting to happen. However, I would like to see him voted in or alternatively twice daily as it would make Labour un-electable for the next 20+ years. PS, I don't vote Tory either.
