You asked what the silver object with a handle was- It's part of a French press for making coffee. It's the plunger part. It pushes the coffee down to the bottom of the glass container of the French press,to separate the coffee from the grounds.
For the stain: Make a paste with dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit a bit and scrub with an old toothbrush. Gets old stains out!
@sharonduran1619 I use 2/3 dawn platinum and 1/3 hydrogen peroxide. Works great for set in stains as well. I do kids' sales, and it saves me from throwing nice clothes away because of a stain.
I agree the blue Dawn, baking soda and peroxide has gotten 98% of stains out of clothes I've bought to resell. I usually put a paste on and let it sit then launder as usual
The thing that has you stumped is the plunger for a fresh coffee cafetiere.Make your coffee in the jug wait a few minutes then plunge the fresh coffee to the bottom.
I bought some linens that were stained and a few had bright red embroidery in it. Another was multi coloured with red in as well. I had looked on line for tips and found one I tried and use often now. I filled a clear plastic bin with boiling hot water as suggested! I added Oxie clean, put in table cloths, and put the lid on. It was summer so I followed the outside directions and let them soak in the sun all day and over night as well. The next morning I waited until around 11:00 am, so they could get the morning sunlight, then pulled them from the soak bin and rinsed them in cold water. Checked them right after and all stains were gone and the reds stayed bright red red and no bleeding of any of the colours and the white was even brighter too. I then put them in the washer to rinse again and spin before putting them in the dryer. It didn’t take me any real extra work either. Since I live in Ontario Canada where we have all 4 seasons I sill use the oxie soak in a bin over night but don’t put it outside after September or mid October depending on the weather. I will start doing it outside in the Spring once the temps are in the 70’s and the sun is shinning. I think it works better when it soaks in the sunlight but it still worked in the winter as well. I bought the linens to resell but I kept them because I ended up using them for my picture taking area’s and Whatnot shows to change things up once in a while, Lol I hope this helps. If the stain is super stubborn there are other options as well like different home made paste’s you can try as well. I did have to do a few runners twice with the overnight method but it worked so it was worth the effort.
Since the Good Stuff Thrift Store will be going out of business in a couple of days I was wondering…what will happen to all the merchandise that was donated to the non-profits? Will they get their donations returned to them so they can still be sold some place else? 🤔
When I saw the bunny with no ears it reminded me of my dad. He always bit the ears off of our chocolate bunnies at Easter. It was a tradition I carried on with my own children.
@@lanaschnekenburger2736 yes. Except he did it before we saw our baskets. We never received chocolate Easter Bunnies that had ears. He may have even told us the Easter Bunny did it which as an adult I never realized how disturbing that could be 😂😧🤣. Cannibalistic Easter Bunny oh my😲😳😆
Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover. I buy it on Amazon and it’s saved me a bundle of money. Especially great when I get something greasy on my tops. Also have used it on my upholstered dining chairs using plenty of water as fabric not removable from chairs. It IS a miracle! I’d suggest the gel rather than the spray as it seems to be more controlled to the spot.
STAIN CLEANING TIP To spot clean stains, I have used an old moistened toothbrush dipped/coated in Powder Cleanser such as Ajax or Comet. Scrub stain then rinse. Some color fabrics can also do well with it, but I'd spot test that first on an inside hem, using a Q-tip.
I know this is an older video, i have cleaned stains out of wedding dresses out with a paste made from ... dawn dish soap, ajax or comet, and peroxide.... test small area first, rub it with a white wash cloth in circular motions, and rinse with clean wet washcloth same way til you have soap mixture out.... press between dry white coths to dry to avoid water circles from cleaned areas.... its time consuming depending on the stain, but worth it in the end...
That saying on the FRIENDS mug is from when Phoebe told the crew about how lobsters mate for life. It’s one of the best episodes of the series. Rachel finally finds out that Ross has been carrying a torch for her for years, and at the end Phoebe says, “See! She’s his lobster!”😄 Oh! And thanks for another fun shopping trip!❤😁
a couple of ideas treat the area with shampoo let sit 10 to 15 min then rinse an launder per care instructions, this works best for oily stains 2) apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab to stain let sit 5 to 10 minutes then rinse and allow to dry in direct sun, this works best on protein stains 3) make a pastes of oxiclean and shampoo work it in to the stained area let sit up to 30 minutes.and rinse and as a last resort tea dye the whole table cloth in a mottled manner to blend in the stain
At 13:29, it's the filter part of a French press coffee-maker. The bottom glass part is missing. You place coffee at the bottom of the glass beaker, add hot water and press with the top part, which is a filter.
Use oven cleaner on your stains. Yes, even on your clothes . Most stains are food. Oven cleaner lifts and breaks down the proteins in the stains. DONT B Scared. Spray it on let it sit, no longer than five minutes scrub it around a little bit. Then rinse and repeat if needed.
I had a table cloth from my mom that had a burn stain on it - I can't remember how I got it out - but I think it was a combination of a few things - I think I used bleach on the spot, and also used a hot iron with a damp white cloth over the spot and steamed it out after washing it with dish soap and water. Good luck
I've had good luck removing/lightening stains with a paste made of blue detergent (All, Tide, etc.) and a powdered non-chlorine bleach. I let it set for a while, then wash in with a regular load. I can sew short, straight lines and have used "wounded" tablecloths to make cloth gift bags with a coordinating ribbon sewn into the side seams. Using a hemmed edge as the top of the bag reduces sewing to a minimum. I love them for family and for the church bazaar.
I’m sure you could fix the frog bowl with a Kintsugi repair kit and make it even more beautiful (you could add the gold to the top edge). 😊 i did that on a little fox that my granddaughter loves and it turned out beautiful.
For the tablecloth, you could try a stain remover spray just incase. If that does not work, I would take the tablecloth to the dry cleaner. You are often out & about, there must be a dry cleaner around. I know it costs but those stains are usually very difficult to remove. If the dry cleaner says they won't be able to remove the stain then it's a keeper for 3 bucks. If they say they can remover it, you could pay the cost, & when you sell the item, you can say the beautiful cloth was treated at the dry cleaner and that cost will be included in the selling price. It is such a pretty tablecloth and someone will love it, & understand. Good luck. 🍀
If the stain is protein, spray hydrogen peroxide (with a white cloth underneath to catch the stain) let set and should come out, sometimes I have to rub a little with a white cloth and then respray several times.
Spray the Christmas tablecloth with Oxiclean laundry stain remover and let sit for a few minutes. Then soak it in the Oxiclean laundry powder for a couple hours before washing it. Oxiclean won’t ruin the colors like bleach.
The mystery item is the top to a French press. The base is large. You put the grounds in the base, pour in hot water, put on the top (the part you found) wait for it to steep/brew, then push down the plunger. Pour our your coffee.
Re: Christmas tablecloth stain. My gf and I used to buy every Damask cloth and napkins we could find and almost all had nasty stains. First soak the stain in Dawn in hot water for several hours. What we used for stubborn stains that work 100% was spray oven cleaner. If your stain doesn't incorporate any of the patterns on the front, go for it: otherwise, if you can get Amway's Smashing White soak as instructed.
Baking soda, Peroxide & Dawn detergent. Sometimes it takes more than one washing, but this works beautiful. I use a silicone pastry brush. Then throw the brush in the washing machine.
We have a bell like the one you saw. Taught our dog to ring it for a treat. Yeah, bad idea. Had to put it away. She’s a super smart doggie 😬 We bring it out for company entertainment 🤣
That sand castle you picked up I know The Guy who made them I used to work with him making them they are made with lake Michigan sand, sadly he has passed away and they are no longer being made
Tablecloth stain - Soak overnight in dawn, next day you might try hydrogen peroxide if that doesn’t work. Some folks spray with cheap hairspray, rub a little and that works.
For stains, I normally take Dawn dish soap and just let it sit on the stain for a couple days, a week, whatever. It usually always gets the stains out.
I have the Jesus you picked up. I brought it from Woolworths in the late 1950's or early 60's. I was starting my collection because I loved my mother's so much I wanted one to. Still have my mother's with tons of pieces and different from mine and still have mine with about 8 pieces .
I bought I think it was a glass stack cactus like that glass stack you were just looking at and I put it in my booth at the shop I was in and it sold pretty quickly.
I may have a solution for the stain on the table cloth. Years ago my tree skirt colours ran and I thought it was ruined. At that time I was cooking beets, the water turned red of course. I had the idea to soake the tree skirt in the hot water and dye the whole thing red. Lo and behold, the red that ran was gone and all the colors were vibrant. Even the white background was beautiful! Might be worth a try. Merry Christmas!
I have found a mix of peroxide, bake soda and dawn soap a tooth brush and scrub both side on the spot both sides Good luck. Careful you didn't let it (peroxide) run on other colors✌💫
For stain, Spray and Wash(let sit for 15 minutes) spray again and scrub gently with soft clean toothbrush(dont want to pill fabric) do on both sides if stain bled through wash and repeat. Can also add blue Dawn to scrubbing if stain looks greasy. Don't dry until stain is gone. Bowling balls painted as insects are so cute.
The silver round thing with the black knob that you didn’t know what it was, is the top part of a French coffee press. It’s missing the cylinder glass bottom part that you put the coffee grinds and water in. We used to do our coffee that way until we discovered Chemex.
I use Grandma’s Spot Remover and Oxi-Clean Max Force together and that combo is really good at removing stains. I think there have only been a few times where it didn’t work.
I agree; Dawn dish soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Make a paste and let sit. Wash but if it doesn’t come out DO NOT dry in the dryer. Retreat the stain and wash again
Wet it and put it out in the sun. About 3 different 4 different times depending on how deep the stain is, the sun will bleach it out that I cover up the rest of the colors so they don't fade out, but yeah, wet it put it out in the thumb. It's great for white t-shirts too. If you have big state in the front, just take a spray bottle and spray it every time it dries out and keep it out in the sun and the staying goes away.
That bowl was so amazing! More than likely the tablecloth stain is something organic like food so I would spray it with hydrogen peroxide..won't hurt the other colors.
On the tablecloth try the Clorox2 powder. Make a paste and steer it in with a cloth or just your finger tips. Let it sit for an hour or 2, then gently rub as you rinse. Do not put in dryer til you know all of stain is out. Repeat a couple times if needed. The Clorox 2is safe for colors.

Dawn dish soap is my go to for any stains. I rub it in with a toothbrush and let it sit for a day or so and then wash in cold water.
If all else fails use 3% provide use mixed with water first,if notpròx by itself ,let sit also have a bowl of water in case it works fast

I would use vinegar and baking soda to try to remove that stain, when you rub/scrub stains, go from outer edge towards the center.
