I rescued a big beautiful turtle trying to cross the road today. I did a 180 and parked on the side of the road and picked it up and carried it across the road in the direction it was going.
Here in Maine, I always do turtle rescues. My kids (now 42 and 40) STILL laugh about the time I picked one up, held it too close to me and got peed on!
Yep I do too. I keep a towel in the car to cover their heads [keeps them calm and they can't see to bite!] and help get a grip on the carapace. Many of the larger turtles here in Florida live in ponds and the carapace can be slippery. I look for a safe side of the road... usually they're moving to a new pond area.
My day off today, so i told my husband from the get go that I want a vacation day all for myself, - and off I went thrifting! Just came home, ate and here I am, watching videos about thrifting )) Addiction! ))) Love your vids.
There were 2 more shades on the shelf where you picked one up!! They are the longer more traditional shape and one of them was 1.99 purple tag😬 I know that they went with some of those because they had the same amount of dust on them. Might be worth going back for. I wish I could contact you live while you’re shopping.
Same. Dani must have had it in her mind that they would look different. However, I didn’t even know those were collectible, so thanks, Dani, for the great info as usual!❤
It's always nice to have a shopping day that includes lots of nice people in the store(s) being pleasant. It can put you in a good mood for the whole day.
Since watching you I have become aware and more considerate of the things i donate that go together . now I am use rubber bands or painters tape to keep pieces, parts and tops , etc. together . So when I drop them off the workers will have an easier time pricing and selling and buyers will get a completed items. Makes me feel better about my old things getting a new home.
Danni - can say now that 10 yrs ago I would never have thought I’d be watching thrift shopping because i did it all my life! Now that I’m older and don’t get out much, I enjoy your programs! Thx. Hugs to you and fam! ❤
Yes with the bread, I would use the plastic to freeze half a loaf at a time. Save the bread bag and freeze half in plastic in original bag helps it not get deformed
Yes the the comment on the mid-center ice bucket was rude. I think some times you pick up tacky too. Just don’t say what ever you think all the time. If it is not for you. Say what you say it is not my niche.
Dani the mask may have been used for art therapy project, using colors to express themselves. I am a therapist. I seen two lamp tops. And makeup brushes and paint brushes could be used in the toothbrush holder.
That was funny when you noticed the painted gourd nativity -- had to laugh. Saw the “ Lite Brite” memories 👍💫 also like the lava lamps. Those finds really bringing me back 🌺🔆❣
Wood pieces: the log planters, salt pepper grinders and alaskan box I ❤🧡. Also I think the artist proof was William Roger Clark and he’s listed as an artist. Happy you got the unusual gourd find pretty rare find I would think👍❣
I recently received a package, and the sender used shredded Easter paper for packing. It was a smaller package and worked really well. No bubble wrap necessary.
Very lucky to find so many little oil lamps all together...beautiful!! Looking forward to seeing how your bird wall looks with the "leaf" decor added. Thanks for the awesome entertainment Danni!!
In regards to the bread you could put half a loaf in a gallon size zip lock baggie. The other half you could put in the freezer. I always buy extra bread when it's on sale and freeze the other loaf. Usually put it out to defrost the night before and in the morning it's ready to go. 😊🌻
Ah I collect mini oil lamps too and love how many you got! The 3 cat figures are incredible as are the placemats and the runner. You got a great haul but not sure on the gourd woman/ nativity object but IF it makes you smile, it's worth it!!❤
I am one of the few people that have a bread box. My husband's house had mice when I moved in. He worked for a bread company and we got free bread. Mice would eat through the bags. I bought a bread box.
I have a bread box too, because it keeps bread from being squished by accident. I don't have mice, and never have, because I have nature's mousetrap-----cats. 😺😺💕
I use freezer bags to freeze 2-4 slices at a time. Then when I want bread I just thaw it lightly in the toaster or just thaw room temp. Works for me. just sharing 😀
Hi darlen were you picked up the small lamp shade there was a tall one to the left at the front I'm interested if anyone else seen it. Have an awesome day 🇦🇺😎
Hi Danni, the mini oil lamps are so cute. I made it to The Assistance League and Dog Junkie today. Thank you for sharing your shopping experience with us.
I've noticed that the bread seems drier than it used to be, however it might be because we usually buy whole wheat. Actually, if that is your issue, you can try what I do with my bread. If you have a small spray mister bottle, use that on both sides and put it in the microwave for a few seconds. I have peanut butter and butter sandwiches I warm up for 17 seconds after I've made them, but that is what I like. My son does not like the method, but my daughter and granddaughter love it.
There was a tall globe just to the left of the other you picked up. I think the one you got may fit better on the clear oil lamp. The pepper shaker looked like it got cooked, but they will be fine for decoration. When we bought those things they were stylish, now they're tacky. Maybe the ice bucket was always tacky. What's really tacky is that gourd with the angel head on it. The manager scene inside it is fine. Love the big cats. It's so nice to run into pleasant people while out shopping.
yup at 11:57-12:00 you missed a clear glass chimney, right when you reached in to pick up the squat clear glass on, purple tag too. Re the wood Indigenous Salmon box, the artist is Roxana Leask, of Tsimshian and Aleut descent. She was raised in Metlakatla Alaska.
NH here The 2 ft we had was almost gone and then we got hit again on Thursday (4/4) with almost 10 " and lots of trees down and loss of power for many. What a mess.
I found a collection of Oil Lamps as well. Very sought after and sold them all! $10 for ALL 25 of them, and I made good profits on them. All were Hongkong. The ones with the black metal holders hold a ring shaped shade over the hurricane that goes through it.
I have some elephants my dad brought back from Africa along with a bunch of other animals. Somehow I lost a tusk. I used wooden toothpicks that I dulled the ends and put a little tea on to make them look authentic. It worked. You would never know. Just fyi and it took like 5 minutes.
I love how you reunite displaced pieces in the store. I envy your Goodwill stores. There is one in my town in northern California. The prices are outrageous; there are no senior discount days, no color discounts, no $1 day of featured color from the week. Zilch, nada, nothing. And, it's only open five days a week!
Love the wood look cat statues! So cute. Bread suggestion: Keep the loaf in the freezer and pull out slices as you need them - defrost on the counter or pop in the microwave. Bread is always fresh this way. Checked and I'm still subscribed. 😊 Love your videos, Danni! Hi from NL, Canada 🇨🇦
I loved this episode. I was wondering how hiring someone to do the listing and packing (I think?) is going to work. Is t it going to cost a lot of money to send them the items? Plus you have to pay them to do the work making your profit margin smaller. I’m so curious!
As someone who has paid employees to do parts of this business I see the value in not managing employees, only doing the part that is the money maker (sourcing) and literally gaining back all that valuable time to do more of that! The margin should already account for the time spent and this will pay for itself in that I can now list and sell more than I could just on my own!
The wood heart box-possibly a roll stamp dispenser? "Bigger than a bread box?" Yes! I remember Dorothy Kildare on that show but I can't remember the name of the show.

Bless you!!
Tooth brush holder put test tubes in and a small fake flower in each holder or live flowers in season.
We freeze half a loaf so it doesn’t mold
Or use to root small plants
Yes! Test tube for plant propagation
Joseph Abboud is a well regarded design.
I thought the ‘toothbrush’ holder could be a pipe holder? Vintage Pipes would look nice.
My day off today, so i told my husband from the get go that I want a vacation day all for myself, - and off I went thrifting! Just came home, ate and here I am, watching videos about thrifting )) Addiction! ))) Love your vids.
Theres a thrift store for that!! Lol..have a wonderful day honey!!
There were 2 more shades on the shelf where you picked one up!! I saw them too! I’m saying “right there” to Dani lol!
@@francourter6972 I know ! I was actually yelling at my tv🤣😂glad I’m not the only one. Ha!
Same. Dani must have had it in her mind that they would look different. However, I didn’t even know those were collectible, so thanks, Dani, for the great info as usual!❤
And, if she goes back, I bet they’ll still be there.😉
I saw the two other shades too.

Yes Dani, you missed two 2 shades left on the same shelf that youd gotten the lanterns from, they were kind of longer ones though 😮😮😅
You bought the Lamp , you bought the Lamp . I had a feeling you would and I was right on. It’s a one of a kind Lamp.
So jealous, our AZ stores only sell their jewelry online 😔. The cheapy 💍💎 will sell for Halloween costumes
The red bags were made with plarn basically plastic bags cut into strips & crocheted
Put bud vases in the TB holder. Then any flowers or plant clippings you can put them in it
The heart box is a tape dispenser or perhaps a stamp dispenser
I freeze my breads in portions in little baggies and big freezer baggies. They do great.
Yes with the bread, I would use the plastic to freeze half a loaf at a time. Save the bread bag and freeze half in plastic in original bag helps it not get deformed
The TB holder I think was a test tube vase.
It said TB Holder on the bottom though!
The table runner and placemats are really pretty
heart box holds a roll of stamps
Yes the the comment on the mid-center ice bucket was rude. I think some times you pick up tacky too. Just don’t say what ever you think all the time. If it is not for you. Say what you say it is not my niche.
Life is too short to be offended by me calling a tacky item tacky. If you don't share my opinion it's ok!
I thought it was tacky too!😂 What a thing to get offended over!🙄
No one was offended here so just stop.
😆
When something is seen as rude, that is subjective and usually means the person was offended by it being said.
Pretty sure that's the only gourd lamp nativity I've ever seen 😂
You missed a shade right after where the lamps were.
The wood heart box is for a roll of stamps in the stamp sticks out. Does anybody know that?
Dani the mask may have been used for art therapy project, using colors to express themselves. I am a therapist. I seen two lamp tops. And makeup brushes and paint brushes could be used in the toothbrush holder.
The name of the artist is William Roger Clark “Wyoming Waterfall” Signed & Numbered Limited Edition Print
That was super 😂considerate ❤❤❤
I would have guessed William Roger Charles! Ha!
Somehow I immediately knew it was William Rogers Clark…don’t know where I picked that up in my life…!😂
@@lauriebusch9615~ I said the same thing to myself! Lol
I love that Aztec calendar! I wish you had picked that up
Waterfall Art print was William Roger Clark, also the large lamp shade on the green flash lamp made me want to buy it. It was very nice together.
Yes I thought I saw roger clark
That was funny when you noticed the painted gourd nativity -- had to laugh. Saw the “ Lite Brite” memories 👍💫 also like the lava lamps. Those finds really bringing me back 🌺🔆❣
I agree with you Danni, I only use electronic candles. I tend to forget lit candles, too dangerous. I stock up on votives from Amazon.
I think they are for Jordans wedding
There were two chimneys for the lamps on the same shelf
There's another chimney at 11:56 just to the left of the white glass. This is just as you're picking up the first "shade".
I saw that too!
Those placemats and table runner match my Lenox bird salt and pepper shakers . They had plates and other cool things to match that set
I make quilts and tie them all but I use crochet cotton
That heart shaped box holds a roll of postage stamps. So cute!
The tb holder 😜 could also hold little glass test tubes to put 🌸‘s in. 😃
Wood pieces: the log planters, salt pepper grinders and alaskan box I ❤🧡. Also I think the artist proof was William Roger Clark and he’s listed as an artist. Happy you got the unusual gourd find pretty rare find I would think👍❣
Regular red solo cups can go in the dishwasher.

Hey Danni...
The wooden heart shape box with the split on the side was a DISPENSER for a ROLL of STAMPS❤❤
In regards to the bread you could put half a loaf in a gallon size zip lock baggie. The other half you could put in the freezer. I always buy extra bread when it's on sale and freeze the other loaf. Usually put it out to defrost the night before and in the morning it's ready to go. 😊🌻
Good job Noah

Yes you need to get that shade
I use freezer bags to freeze 2-4 slices at a time. Then when I want bread I just thaw it lightly in the toaster or just thaw room temp. Works for me. just sharing 😀
Hi darlen were you picked up the small lamp shade there was a tall one to the left at the front I'm interested if anyone else seen it.

I thought it was a turtle too!🤣🤣🤣
Hi Danni, the heart box is a postage stamp roll dispenser.
Great finds Dani, I guessed you would get the lamp 😆.😀🇨🇦
You could "perch" some little birds on those branches
Hi Danni, the mini oil lamps are so cute. I made it to The Assistance League and Dog Junkie today. Thank you for sharing your shopping experience with us.
the artist of the waterfall you were trying to read is William Roger Clark :)
the individuals with holes was for holding smoking pipes
It was marked that it was a TB holder, I wonder if pipes would fit

Absolutely love the wedding glasses and the bird runner at the end..great finds

The heart shaped slide box, is a stamp role dispenser. Or it can hold a ribbon spool. 😊
We just left Vegas Thursday morning. Thanks to you, I knew to wait til Wednesday to hit the Goodwills!
If you refuse to buy something in a category, don't even look. That's what I say.
I look to find things that have been put there either by accident or being stashed by someone who plans to come back and find it later ;-)
Little heart shaped box looked like a dispenser for tape,?? Ribbon,?? Stamps??
Oh, how I LOVE your energy!
Gotta agree with you on the ice bucket, it was pretty bad.
But a nice sterling silver or brushed aluminum or stainless steel. Now you have my attention.
I’ve tied many blankets with my grandma. On hand quilted blankets. I’m glad to have the skill.

Enjoyed the shopping. I loved the vintage lamps, the white lady to set on the dresser and of course the three cats.
Split the loaf and freeze half of it. Bread can be taken out and toasted for sandwiches straight from freezer and is great. And used later thawed
TB holder could hold paint brushes.
Light Bright?
Many places are still fighting this last Christmas never mind the next. The north east just got dumped on with snow again.😮

Heart box might have been for ribbon and slot in side
Crush is dad turtle, Squirt is his son .
The artist is William Roger Clark Wyoming Waterfall. His prints sell for good money. If that is a signed Artist Proof, it could really be good.
The wooden heart was for a roll of stamps - it sits around the leg inside and the strip goes out the slit on the side…
Love the little lamps!❤
The signate on ap lookes like wm rugar....?
What size and color do you need. How many. Our dollar tree here in Florida sales them.
Didn't Jocelyn just find a blue fish TreasureCraft wall hanger, like this red cat one? 6:00
Try the Artisan Bread from Von's, Grocery Outlet, possibly in most grocery stores. I find that this bread last longer than any other bread.

Hi from NL, Canada 🇨🇦
At 16:42, it’s a box used to hold sweets during Lunar New Year. It looked modern.
I see Wm Roger Clark. That one is worth a look up.

@@TheNICHELady Makes total sense now!
Dani, great stuff, &. What ? U can put lipstick 💄 on a frog😊🎉
I like the little bottles and the lamp is funny.
I love Maxine too. I keep all my bread in the freezer. I love bread. I used to love my Light Brite when I was a kid. 🥰
I thought the toothbrush holder looked like the old pipe racks they had many moons ago. x
You bought the lamp is my guess but I am watching to see if you did or not
33:09 The lamp to the far right is cool and has a purple tag too!
The wood heart box-possibly a roll stamp dispenser? "Bigger than a bread box?" Yes! I remember Dorothy Kildare on that show but I can't remember the name of the show.
To Tell the Truth
Dani you can put your bread in a cabinet and it'll keep for weeks. I have a pantry I keep mine in. My bread never gets old
The TB holder could be used for crochet hooks.
Interesting finds today great going thanks very much
