      Most definitely! I debated on doing a different mani with other colors but I felt like this was about as real and honest as I could get 😆💗

    I love Lavender Violets. I have a few of their dip kits. Yes, i was also very impressed with their packaging(: the dip is like silk its sooo smooth!! And they're liquids are so easy to work with. I prefer Lavender Violets over Revel any day! Especially their liquids!! Anyways, thanks for sharing & your mani turned out great. Don't be so hard on yourself. You got this(:

    That blue and silver are so gorgeous. I have used their liquids before and really enjoyed them.
    I rarely use swatch sticks, but I do use the large nail tips (1/2 of the nail tip boxes are too large for me) and do the color combos on a "test" nail to make sure I like the color and design.

    You cracked me up!!!! I have to be honest…I envy you talented people who color coordinate so well! I absolutely suck at it! I was pretty happy with your mani? I AM a swatch fanatic, but that doesn’t mean I can “flow” colors, still. 😂🤣😂 Thank you so much for sharing this!

    • @SipAndDip

      I love that companies make collections that already flow so I don’t have to try and color coordinate 🤣🙌🏼 apparently based on this vid, I need to have y’all start picking my manis!

    Hi Chelsea- I was so pleased with the Beetles kit I bought after watching your review (and two others) that I looked you up for a review on this brand.
    So based on the success with the Beetles kit, I’m going to order this one too. You’ve got me nervous from your review and I know you clarified yourself so I’ll be SURE to follow instructions as you suggest. There is a sale on one of the LV kits at an amazing price so I’m visiting amazon after I’m done to give it a shot.
    Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼
    Thanks for doing this review!

    I do like the colors. And I appreciate you doing this series. It's very helpful.
    I think for your next video that you should do swatches. I feel like I learned pretty early on when I 1st started doing dip that swatching was pretty important especially because you can't really see what's in your jars.

    I actually didn’t mind the colors together! I do see what you meant about the tan one being a little yellow tho. And I love your almond shape! Been sporting almonds lately myself. I feel like they last longer and don’t get in the way as much. 😅

    Hello again Chelsea!
    I LOVED this brand! I live the liquids and the powders are nice in consistency and so easy to work with. I DID use the activator before and after my buffing/filing.
    Only one negative…I don’t think I had a full container of activator! I couldn’t hear a thing when I shook the bottle, but I did with the others.
    So I’m giving this kit as high of points as Beetles!

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for coming back to share your experience! 🙌🏼💖 so sorry to hear about your activator though! If you’re open to it, you could absolutely let them know and hopefully they’ll send you a replacement! I have another Amazon kit video coming next week and it blows beetles out of the water 🙊🙌🏼

    I’m wondering if it says “quick dry” for people who are maybe used to regular nail polish instead of dip powders… comparatively dip is so much faster as far as dry time!

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ohhhh very interesting 🧐 that’s a good point! The 5 second dry time is most definitely not accurate 🤣

    I say they’re your videos and you make up the rules lol. But Honestly the only thing I would say most of us wonder about the Amazon kits are “do the liquids work well? Are the powders good?”. I feel like everything else that is needed, most of us know these kits aren’t really a “complete” starter kit. So it’s ok to use your own stuff aside from liquids and colored powders 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @jodiz5901

    I ordered the set of just LV liquids and AzureBeauty clear powder. The liquids were pretty easy to control, and worked well with the brand powder I used. (I did 3 layers of base since that seems to be the standard.) It really went on smoothly as long as I didn't use too much liquid (which I did on 2 and had bumps to smooth out).
    Make sure you buy some good nail files and blocks because the block they include is crap. That's my only complaint about this kit!

  • @jocelynrodriguez4749
    @jocelynrodriguez4749 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think if you’re going to cap with base, you have to drip activator on. At least that’s what Carole Z does.
    I like it though, but if you had two silver nails and I nude, it would have been a beautiful holiday mani

    @SipAndDip Thanks for this review! I just bought the set of liquids (I only liked one color in one of the sets) and clear UNI powder. Have you tried these liquids with a different brand of powder, and if so, how did they perform? I was very impressed at how smooth your nails turned out, and not thick at all like some others I've seen. And thanks for the list of recommended supplies!

      @@SipAndDip Hi, I'm back! I finally did it! I followed all of your instructions on prepping (except the glass cuticle pusher cuz Sally's was out, but mine actually needed to be trimmed anyway.)
      I am so pleased! I used the LV liquids with AzureBeauty brand clear powder. (I never like more than one color in any kit and didn't want to commit to a powder color I might not like.) They worked great together. I did 3 layers of powder since that's what the standard is even though their instructions only indicate 2 layers. I was so happy at how smooth they came out. As with your experience, a lot of smoothing and shaping was not required (certainly not a dremmel!), not like my experience with gel polish. I found the liquid fairly easy to control, and I used a tooth pick as well (been doing that for years even with plain nail polish).

  • @melbel7337
    @melbel7337 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question. Every other video seems to put the activator on right after dipping and then filing? Maybe that would help with the silver coming through

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are so right! So what made this kit “fast drying” was that it doesn’t require the activator step 😱 it felt so unnatural to skip it lol! All of the other kits I have used have the same steps like you mentioned. Ultimately, I agree! I prefer the typical dip powder liquid system instead of these “fast” drying 😆

    How and when you use No. 4 brush saver?

    • @SipAndDip
      @SipAndDip  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is for when your base or top coat brush hardens and/or gets contaminated. So you would let the brush sit in the #4 to clean it 🫶🏻

    Yes please swatch and use clear etc etc but please add a specific video to this playlist if you feel up to it with a list/demo of products that you will use for this series that are also from Amazon. Like all tertiary products should also be from Amazon and be linked/suggested/reviewed by you and be from Amazon if that makes sense?
