Based in Australia, I love A(dip)tion. All women owned, small business. Phenomenal quality. Hundreds of colours (including glitters, glows, colour changing etc). They do a mystery mani every month where you get 3 small jars of surprise powders (that aren't on the store). They also put a lot back into the community and support two charities. Also their Facebook community is really welcoming.
Yes thankyou! I’m about to dive into the dip world and the information is a lot to wade through! Hard to know what’s legit and what’s just paid/ supplied/scripted content 🤷🏻♀️ I’m super rough in my nails too so I’m wanting to find something that is robust wearing. Thanks for the options! I’ll check a few out and see how it goes. Is it generally ok to mix and match the liquid bottles? Like, if I buy a few powders from different brands but just one liquid set?
I used OPI for the first time today. I was amazed how beautifully it covered in the first dip. Definitely will be purchasing more OPI. Revel is my original dips since I just started dipping 2 months ago. I love your videos too. I have learned so much from you Chelsea. Thanks
My favorite is Revel! I love all the options and selections. The coverage is good with two dips, the shimmers and glitters are gorgeous… plus Revel always has a great sale! Their customer service is second to none. These are just a small number of things that mean so much to me!
I haven’t tried either of these yet! *adds to list 🤣💕 I loooove that dipology focuses so much on natural nail health 🙌🏼 I follow her on IG and love it!
My favorite is Revel, 2nd favorite is Igel. I love their powder and the price when they have the 60% off during the pandemic. I took a break from dip powder last year and now i am ready to get back again 🙂
I have been doing my own nails since covid. I started with Color Street, then cheaper versions like Dashing Diva and Lily & Fox. About 1 year ago I started to try nail stamping and at the same time gel polishes. Well my gel polish journey was short lived, I can NOT get that stuff off MY NAILS! So a few months ago decided to try polygel...ugh...even more short lived than gels! I finally started dip about a month ago. I think dip powder is it, the thing I have been searching for! I really like it! I bought the KISS brand kit from Walmart with the separate 4 color set and honestly it was the perfect jumping off point for me because I have spent SO MUCH MONEY on the other things I have tried, so I didn't want to spend heavily to get started with dip powder. I was pleased with how easy it was to use, and my first try looked really good. I actually got compliments! Now I'm obsessed and I am ready to invest a bit more into a more quality dip system. I do recommend KISS to get you started on your dip powder nail journey Now I found this lovely TH-cam channel @SipandDip, thank you for sharing with us. I was looking into NailBoo, but it is super expensive, and I have decided to try the Reval dip powder system. I only do my own nails, and the smaller jars seem like a good idea, plus it is cheaper than NailBoo. Anyone try the Kiara Sky dip powders?
OPI really is just “that” company for me 😮💨🤣 I hope one day they’ll dabble in foils/chunky glitters but I’m not holding my breath. I imagine they keep it super generic since the salons are their target audience. I need to grab some more solids from them 😆
My #1 company that made me go WOW this stuff is amazing and has consistently been amazing is Mama makes her own dips. My #2 for unique, high quality powders is Confidips. Thanks for making this video, Chelsea! 🤗
So many of y’all have suggested mama makes her own dips! Sounds like she knows what she’s doing 🙌🏼💕 I love hearing about all of these awesome small shops!
I started with NailBoo but haven’t used them in a while. Then I discovered Double Dip but sadly they are no longer in business. Now my go to’s are ManiBoss, Secret Sisters and West Coast Dips. I’m open to try others though. 😊
Agreed re: ease of REVEL, except for their liquids! Their liquids constantly glue close for me, I much prefer CMW liquids. As you mentioned Amber puts a lot of heart into her products and her liquids are a nice, flowy and thin AND they don't dry too fast, letting me work on those cuticles hehe. Love VIVID GLAM for chunkies too!
I totally understand what you mean! It’s so funny how we all like to mix and match different products all from different companies 😆 I’m the saaame way!
I got nailboo to start. It was because of price. The others to ship to canada...either didnt ship or toooo expensive. I heard of westcoast dip in canada so ill try them next !
I ordered too many things for the first time from Color my world yesterday, including Chelsea milky pink. Thank you for all the information and great techniques you provide
I tried Azura from Amazon (horrible). I stopped being cheap and got Kiara Sky. Best decision. Im going to try 2 colors from Revel based on her recommendations.
Thank you so much, always watch your videos for refresher courses and new reviews. I love OPI the best so far. Tried Kiara Sky but I'm wondering if maybe it's my liquid as it marbled and that wasn't the effect I was going through, Have you tried those yet, would love a review on KS! Keep teaching PLEASE!!!
Revel is what I own the most followed by Sparkle & Co. love both equally for Large companies. Sparkle beats on quality IMO. So many small business gems CN Designer, Ritzy Dips, CCW (now 915) & Marullo. Ritzy is a personal favorite but I’m like you Marullo has blown me away.
New to dipping powder. I just used Azure today and love it. I watched one of your videos trying to determine the ones to less cause dip flu which i got long time ago using a drug store brand but back then didn't know that's what it was. I remember immediately I got sick. I used a mask and made sure to be in a well ventilated area. Not bad, I didn't react however that Activator reminds me of moth balls🤨 i have a question can other's or animals in the home get dip flu? That's probably a silly question but🤔Revel is my next brand to try!
Hiii! Welcome to our dip powder community! So sorry to hear you had dip flu in the past 🥺🫶🏻 honestly… that is a great question about animals that I hadn’t thought of 🧐 I’m not sure on that! However, my husband used to have a sensitivity to it. It would make him really congested and sneeze a lot. So thankfully now I work downstairs and away from him. Whenever I have him do my nails for videos I also make sure he uses odorless options 🫶🏻
@@SipAndDip Thank You soo much! Good to know. I have 1 cat who likes to be in the mix of everything and will sit on my shoulder but I shoo him away. Lol
I love Revel for basic colors and I love sub bags for specialty dips and coordinating colors because I get overwhelmed with all the colors available and sometimes I want the thinking done for me lol. I currently love Nails Truly Co dip powder sub bag because it also comes with coordinating water decals which I love and it's not expensive at all. They always have super cute themes each month. I also love small businesses because they will have unique flaky or glitter dips that I can't get anywhere else and usually they will offer a sample size or small size so I can try it and I won't have it for years and years, but if I love a certain one I can order more of it. I love watching videos of different people who use dip powder because I can get product info or ideas :)
I’m on my second DIY mani from a kit you don’t mention here. But, I think I’m hooked and now want to purchase quality products, so thank you! I appreciate your recommendations and explanation of why! Do you have similar reviews for liquids? I’m not sure if their quality can vary as much.

I really like her collection themes and names, all super cute! I feel she has lotssss of unique glitters too. I’ve only tried like maaaybe 3-5 solid shades so I don’t feel I have a good gauge on them but the ones I did use, were a nice quality! I think her chunky glitters are on the sheer side. So nice as toppers but I personally prefer more of a solid color base and not as much clear. Again, personal preference. I wouldn’t say they’re necessarily “beginner friendly” but not many chunky glitters are 😆
I like CMW, CN Designer Dips, and Delumars. There are so many companies it’s a little overwhelming! Just got some Marullo dips. The jars are beautiful!!!
Overwhelming is the perfect description 😆🫶🏻 that’s prob why it took me 3 years to sit to make this video. Narrowing it down feels impossible! I haven’t tried CN designer dips but she’s on my list to try! Her pictures + collections are sooo stunning!!
I have not tried many because I recently started buying them, tho, I have spent months studying dip powder by watching you and my tech. So far Beetles & Azure are my thing. Sad about OPI and other big companies. Just buying their big jars is not worth it for me. I do my own nails PLUS I change colors often!
I’ve heard great things of those 2 but haven’t yet tried them 💕 I feel like it’ll take me a lifetime to explore all of the awesome small shops out there 😆🫶🏻
Azure beauty was awful imo. Everything was super tiny. The dip jars were so small and full that I could not dip my finger without hitting the bottom, spilling product, AND not even fully covering the nail. I don't even have long nails! I ended up having to pour the entire tiny jar over each finger then funnel back into the jar each time. Then to top off my bad experience, the activator did not work. It took forever for the glue to harden and I ended up just taking everything off after fighting to do one hand. I am not even a beginner with dip, I just wanted the "jelly" dip powder shades. But I will have to look elsewhere.

@SipAndDip What are your thoughts on Bio Seaweed Gel dip powders that were on a huge clearance sale ($20 for 24 2oz jar random colors known as a surprise bag)? Glad I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago because now that offer seems to be gone! And I did not receive a single duplicate.
@SipAndDip Really? That's interesting. Have you heard of/tried Honey Joy or GH Dip? The nail salon I go to uses SNS dip powder. Have you tried those brands?
Aeon Nail innovations is a U.S company very similar 2 SNS dipping system...NIRTO is also similar 2 Aeon & Sns they are so similar in price... Sns has a senshine liquid line for people with allergies. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 & have wanted 2 try alot of the liquids I see on your TH-cam like the REVIL SENSITIVE LIQUIDS we don't have them available here yet or PEPPI GELS I'm very interested in them. The big dip companies here are A.DIP.TION & GLAMDIP or SISTACO mineral gel bond. ROSSI dip nails was a big company here in Australia but they went under when the world went in2 lockdown.
I personally love the 3 affordable brands you mentioned and built my collection with them. I also ordered Wakania brand due to the us changing ones. They swatched nice. I have ordered twice from CN Designer Dips and love them. I am looking into some Revel Nail colors for my next purchase.
They’re amazing!! Their peel base is one of my go to’s. They’re glitters are a wonderful formula, not too much clear, not too much “chunky”. I also enjoy their liquids! You honestly can’t go wrong with their products
Started with @Nailboo and have only done two dips since I've had the kit. I think I am done with them. The quality could be much, much better. Also, their dips are the ones that have solids that aren't really solids. I especially don't like the games they play with pricing. You never seem to get the full percentage off that they are advertising during a sale. Lesson learned. I have what I have from them, and there will be no further purchases.
😮💨 that is incredibly frustrating! The shimmer in a “solid” drives me bonkers lol! I am a basic gal at heart so I neeeeed my solids to be solid. Thankfully you have lots of other amazing options out there though 🙌🏼
Their ads are all over so I purchased a kit and reviewed it. There are definitely some pros and cons 🫣 here’s the video on my thoughts! th-cam.com/video/QTWZ6HiFJcA/w-d-xo.html

@SipAndDip Really? That's interesting. Have you heard of/tried Honey Joy or GH Dip? The nail salon I go to uses SNS dip powder. Have you tried those brands?
@@mackenzie2184 I haven’t personally tried either brand BUT I’ve heard AMAZING things about SNS!
@SipAndDip I like SNS dip powder too. I just hate the uv light.
@@mackenzie2184 totally understand!! Thankfully if you use the powder with dip liquids you won’t need the light 🙌🏼
What about clean ingredients?
Do you like SNS or AEON products??? I am addicted to my AEON... I have a lil company I also support as they also are where i go for my nail products
I haven’t tried SNS but it’s on my list to try! I’ve never heard of AEON though 🧐
I am so new, what do you think of SNS dip.
Have you tried the OPI dip liquid system. I just bought the powder and love it but I am using the ASP liquid system and hate the brushes
Yes!! Love their liquids! Here’s a full review if you’d like to watch 🩷 th-cam.com/video/NCkexfLfY6s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8OpNfCWsytf1l-qX
@@SipAndDip thanks for the great review. I’m definitely getting the OPI liquids!
@@SipAndDip Which do you prefer between Azure and OPI liquid?
@@anitawatson1028 I would probably say Azure 2 in 1 because it’s the one I grab for the most! It’s simplistic and hasn’t steered me wrong 🩷
@@SipAndDip thank you so much for your help !
How do y’all feel about sparkle and co.?
They have some really unique and gorgeous powders! They pioneered subscriptions in my opinion. I think their powders are high quality
Great info! Thanks!
I personally love the 3 affordable brands you mentioned and built my collection with them. I also ordered Wakania brand due to the us changing ones. They swatched nice. I have ordered twice from CN Designer Dips and love them. I am looking into some Revel Nail colors for my next purchase.
What about liquids I’m having issues with the ones I have
I have an older “favorites” liquid video but I’m due for an update! 💕 th-cam.com/video/NCSR1cFkuo8/w-d-xo.html
very well done!!!
I would love to know about Virgo and Gem if anyone has experience with that brand.
LOVE color my world!
She’s the best! 🙌🏼💕
I’ve heard of a company called Nailboo. I haven’t tried them and was wondering if you had and what your thoughts were on that brand?
Their ads are all over so I purchased a kit and reviewed it. There are definitely some pros and cons 🫣 here’s the video on my thoughts! th-cam.com/video/QTWZ6HiFJcA/w-d-xo.html
@@SipAndDip thank you so much! I really appreciate you sending me the link!
Del Monte all the way 😋
Ewww, cigarette smell?!? I’m so glad I haven’t run into that.
I was flabbergasted and thankfully it’s only happened once!
Can I ask what company to avoid? I detest cigarette smell
What about the organic green beans? Haha
West Coast Dips and Madkin Beauty
Ohhhh I haven’t tried either! I’ve actually never heard of the Madkin beauty I don’t think 🧐
@@SipAndDip Madkin was formerly Risen Legacy
@@lauriegarrett215 ohhhh! Okay! Thank you 🫶🏻 I have heard of Risen so that makes sense!
Talk to much!!!
