I, a feral kid by nature, find myself at the edge of my patience watching these videos about how to tie my stupid formal shoes (first ones I ever own, i am 38 years young). Why you may ask. Because I love my 13 year old princess who demanded that I dress to impress for her graduation day. The things we, men, do for love😓
The attraction of the male peacock's feathers is not in their beauty or looking different, as the PUA culture types say, but rather in the fact that it is directly counterproductive to survival, and the male is able to survive despite that. This is a perfect analogue to dress shoes.
I'm not going to lie. I've viewed other tutorials (by men), but this was yet the most easiest, best illustrated and wonderfully paced tutorial ever. I practiced the surgeon's loop twice and got it perfected. My face was like that of a 3 year old...and I'm 61 years of age. THANK YOU.
It's very pleasing to read your comment. We're glad our video was helpful. Please do subscribe as we will be relaunching this channel with consistent and very exciting new contents very soon. Thanks!
Outstanding video. Now I understand even vs odd eyelets, and how/why the laces come out at the end. I watched this over and over and finally got the surgeon’s knot. Great tutorial. Best I’ve found yet
THANK YOU SO MUCH I know I'm typing this a bit late, but it really helped me look better when i go to dances and everything you guys are real life savers.
Thank you! Due to the feedbacks we've got we will be revamping this channel completely and we will be creating and posting even higher quality tutorials consistently.
Thanks so much this just came in handy me in my big age decided i had time today to learn how to officially tie my oxfords like an adult and not just dealing with the way they came to me out the box i can already tell tomorrow is going to be a great start to the work week. :-)
I’m sure you’ve been asked this question many times over but i must know. What is the brands name of the shoe being used in this video? Thanks in advance 🙏🙂
Thanks For Bow Lace!! Pro Tips For Who Are Struggling- 1.Make Right End Of Lace Longer For Both Right And Left Shoe 2.Make Smaller Knot As Possible As You Can Make Knot Larger Afterward 3. While Inserting Right Knot Inside Double Knot Tightly Hold Single Knot Of Left Side. That's It
1:59. after messing around with the lengths for 10 minutes while watching the rest of the video I found it impossible to make the strings the same length ;/ - I will stick with the classic cross over way
First time on the bow tie, I'm also trying something on that second outward loop; imma weave that underneath the base knot so that both second loops are a full circle around the whole structure.
Okay I can’t be alone in thinking it might have been helpful to use some diff descriptors here instead of take the loop through the loop to make another loop to put through the second loop
Finally, success. For myself I found it was much less complicated to _not_ wrap the loop around my finger and just tie the knot close & tight. Bow knot: Make a loop, go one - two around (away, not toward) with the other end and stick a loop through it.
Somehow I landed on this video since from my childhood I haven't learnt how to tie laces and it comes off every 30 mins. After watching this video, I lost hope if I can ever learn a better way. Nice knot, but impossible to replicate.
Something that I think you forget to mention: the side you start with needs to be one eyelet's length longer. This will ensure they are the same length when you finish.
I gave up, 5 star difficulty. I ran out of lace I was getting my finger trapped, wrapping lace around it cutting off circulation.i can do far harder things than this what is going on
Sorry to hear that. Please note that we're revamping the channel and we will be posting another video that will show you a much simpler way. We acknowledge some (like you) had difficulty with this, something much much easier is coming.

Sometimes in life you have to admit that you can't tie your shoes like a badass no matter how many times you watch the video at .5x speed T_T
Can you make a video about how to hide shoelaces for dress shoes?!
Ooo my
I always use a slip reef knot or slip square knot the bows are sways perpendicular to the eyelets and they never untie themselves.
i ve tied my shoelace wrongly for 26 years in my life,
and i learn it by playing this clip 3 times
thank you so much :) you have my gratitude
1:59. after messing around with the lengths for 10 minutes while watching the rest of the video I found it impossible to make the strings the same length ;/ - I will stick with the classic cross over way
2:11 you lost me as your fingers are in the way a bit and moving too quickly - which way are you doing your initial wrap?

Will this work for my sports shoes?

What about the Bunny Ears method 🤔
Do they make velcro loafers?

Just whay I need. Thanks for this! By the way, the narrator's voice is calming so that's a plus =)
Excellently presented. Do some research, everyone who doesn’t know already, and find out why the straight lace came to be.

Glad it was helpful!
Great tutorial, i even managed to do it after a couple of beers^^
If you lace the shoe using same side transitions it is very difficult to alter the laces. The Berluti knot is much easier than you make it look!
Thank you. We will be posting several other versions showing more simplified methods.
I’ve been practicing I used them shors for choir concerts and I need help with the double knots show they don’t come undone

I find that the more professional the video, the more views.
Note to self.
What if my shoes only have 4 eyelids on each side (thanks, Express)? The laces wind up on the same side if you follow these instructions
Thankyou for this Helpful Video😊
Great lesson! Thanks
Im never tying my shoes differently ever again
I certainly appreciate the part about how to lace up the oxfords, but as for tying those knots, I am completely discombobulated.
Looks like ill be doing the surgeons knot cuz that bow knot is making me do calculus and tie my fingers together 😂
I was told I have to be extra proper by a flying officer and he was more harsh on me because I am a JNCO.
