Every day when I go to my office I try to close my shoes proper but after just a few minutes it goes out so I have to do it again but today I decided to wach a video that it will teach me how to do it properly, and I found your video is so helpful and I did it buy following you and now it's not going out anymore - thank you so much and now I am your new subscriber.
If your shoe laces come undone easily, you might want to try the thin or ultra thin waxed laces. Thin = 1.5 to 2 mm width. The wax in the fabric is very crucial here. No less importantly, learn to tie laces correctly so that your laces end up in 2 symmetrical loops (bowtie formation).
Thank you. I bought a new pair of shoes today to where to work tomorrow. I needed to switch it up on my Co-workers a bit and this is exactly what I’m looking.
Yo Vlad! Thanks man. It’s very simple and 101 and a more advanced method would be to skip an eyelet towards the end depending on how you want them to look or lace, but you can make a short about it!
Great video Kostas, and thank you again for getting my beautiful Patina Chelsea's to me before my trip. I'm gonna make my brother cry when he sees them lol, 🤣 I can't wait, I know he doesn't have them in this color or quality.
Hi, I’m not sure I understand your question. You mean in your shoes or the one I use in the video? I was very careful since this was a customer’s shoe so I didn’t want to scratch them by any means. Usually the first 1-2 holes are a bit harder to fix on an oxford.
Thanks a lot man!! I learned from you! Third times the charm and I’m now a fan!! Lol and your jokes at the end man.. fuckin good. I have that same kinda humor. As long as I’m laughing than f the rest of y’all haha... I’ll keep watching you!
Hej Mike! Det kommer snart! Jag ska berätta om hur att ta hand om patina skor på den nästa videon! Hade nya loafers och wingtips idag, de finns på webbsidan!
Hey Mark, I will rewatch it to make sure! It is possible I might have done a small mistake! The last hole should be adjustable so both are on the same height. If I did do it as intended, it’s the most common lacing I find in most of my ready to wear shoes. Thank you for your tips and for watching!
It’s more rare these days to come up with even eyelets. 2 eyelets are only on derbies, 4 eyelets are super rare (only Norman Vilalta does it) and 6 eyelets are the ones you would most likely encounter this. In a case like this, you’d have to adjust yes.
Hello! I find it very comfortable but of course it’s different for each individual! Here is a very good source of information for different ways to do it! www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lacingmethods.htm

How do I do this on a shoe with 4 holes only?
Hello, what do you mean? It’s the same procedure just one less pair of holes. Or do you mean 4 holes in total?
Gotta be kidding,...it seems they don't easily open on top for me to put them on,do they?

Cheers to that

Glad to hear!! One day I will release mugs with different dad jokes 🤣 if you want a good laugh go to the Lethato video review at 16:00 🤣
I liked the content but the merit for the subscribe goes 100% to the joke 🤣
Thankfully there’s a ton of them!
Grymt, visa gärna mer Carlos Santos skor! :)
Hej Mike! Det kommer snart! Jag ska berätta om hur att ta hand om patina skor på den nästa videon! Hade nya loafers och wingtips idag, de finns på webbsidan!
It would have been nice to actually see how much longer one lace needed to be
Hi Shawn, it’s just eyeballing it, maybe an inch or two!
You are going to have one end of the lace coming from the bottom tied to the other from the top! That is not good lacing IMO.
Hey Mark, I will rewatch it to make sure! It is possible I might have done a small mistake! The last hole should be adjustable so both are on the same height.
If I did do it as intended, it’s the most common lacing I find in most of my ready to wear shoes. Thank you for your tips and for watching!
This does not work if there is an even number of holes. In that case the two ends of the lace end up on the same side.
It’s more rare these days to come up with even eyelets. 2 eyelets are only on derbies, 4 eyelets are super rare (only Norman Vilalta does it) and 6 eyelets are the ones you would most likely encounter this. In a case like this, you’d have to adjust yes.
The waffle at the start could've been left out
👍🏻
Not a fan of this style of bar lacing. Can get uncomfortable over time
