Now jumping into a pit and getting like 13th place, and having some low level players all beating me, that hurts.
@@microwavegommm7689 Yep that sucks when that happens too. It is also a pain when I get hit by a fish in 2-3 and it kills my momentum dropping me into a pit. lol

Heyyyy, I saw your tutorial for getting coins this morning and I just had a 4948 coin run happening, then I realized I'm perfectly tied with you in the rankings, such an amazing coincidence 😂
How is it possible to get 24252 coins in a single match. Right now number 1 ranking first week november has that as most coins. That doesnt make sense how possible as the most i ever got was 4900 coins. 317 courses played with 101 1st place wins. 90 * level at moment
I don't know if I can put into words what it's like to watch someone like you play this game. It's sort of like....ok, so in Speedrunning you spend this insane amount of time day after day grinding the game in order to surpass the greatest masters in the world in order to become, like, the "Super Saiyan God" of SMB1 Speedrunning. I mean, you've mastered the game in such a way to where you can even bend the fabric of the physics of the game to your very will (FPG, fast accels, BBG etc.). And then, in the final story arc you go compete in the SMB1 "World Martial Arts Tournament" against a bunch of mere human mortals, and you find that all those years playing at the highest level have basically made you a god of the game, to where no one could possibly ever touch you. It's pretty cool.
Wow awesome run! Btw the way level ordering in warp levels (like 1-2) works like so: The very next level in the level queue is the flagpole, and then the three levels after that are assigned to the warp pipes (right to left). For example, you went into the 1-2 pipe at 16:17 , the next level in the queue after the level you entered was 1-1 so that was actually assigned to the flagpole once you entered 1-2. At the end of that level at 17:09 , notice that 1-1 was not in the rightmost pipe because it was assigned to the flagpole, and instead you saw the following three levels (1-3, 1-1, and 1-2 in that order). This can help with some high level strategies. For example, if you get to the end of 1-2 and see that the next three levels are 1-2, 1-2, and 1-4, you can go into the rightmost 1-2 pipe, then at the end of this 1-2, go to the flagpole instead of warp pipes to bring you straight back to 1-2 (if you had gone to warp pipes, you would have effectively skipped 1-2, and instead seen 1-4, and two more unknown levels). This allows you to squeeze an extra 1-2 in before you progress further in the level queue (which is usually beneficial because you delay the harder and lower coin levels that often show up later in the level queue). Hope this helps!
Ah I missed his extra explanation on this topic. The strategy I explained still holds though (and could have potentially earned him some extra coins in this run)
yoo i just saw your comment about getting almost 5k on the other video, super hyped to be able to see the video. 5k is definitely happening soon, i can smell it. edit: :O karl watches you! certified ABSOLUTE LEGEND for sure ;)
Its interesting seeing how effectively speedrun skill translates into overall game skill. You would think the linear nature of a speedrun would make the skill more specialized to that run, but it seems like most top level speedrunners are just the best at their given games in general.
Careful! Youre seeing the games he wins and the games he chooses to show. He has those bad games just like you. Difference is, he has contigencies and knows every level in case he doesnt get infinite 1-2s.
Would the Carl method help any? Of course, he degrades into a murder spree which does no good. But the basic point of building a lot of aggro fast and then killing them. This would basically be people who die fast anyway so you'd just be trying to get a bigger cut from them. Or would attacking them overly snowball the whole system into a quicker game and not be worth it? Seems like it would be like a speedrun strat that could technically bring the best time but fails a lot more often. What do you think?
Oh man, that's such a heartbreaker that you were that close to 5k but was just a victim of bad RNG/accidental button presses... Stellar gameplay nonetheless, great job dude!
el winrate is the percentage of victories, example: if you won 5 out of 10 games your winrate is 50%, if it was 10 out of 10 the winrate is 100%. Wincount is the times you have won in total, example: if you played 100 and won 45, your wincount is 45. Bad english squad here, I hope you understand :c
