I loveeeeee this video. I hope to be able to do what you do, a stable 9-5 but also still traveling every year - my literal goals. I love love traveling and now that I’m graduating from college, taking time off from work/school will be more difficult as I go into my 9-5’s but I don’t want to let it stop me from getting on my next flights! Thank you for sharing! I’m definitely going to binge all your videos now lol
love this so much! making travel my number one priority has truly been a game changer for me and also working on my relationship with money/ allowing myself to actually spend the money to book things without feeling guilty about it (it's a work in progress)
Totally get it! Always remember that spending money on experiences is an investment in yourself :) in your health, personal growth, cultural expansion.. etc. Proud of you for making travel a priority!!
Thanks for sharing these tips! Often these videos are by people who work in tech where there are global work options so it was nice to hear your perspective. I've made travel a priority these last few months and have taken advantage of travelling over long weekends and during off-peak times~
Thanks for the tips for us 9-5ers! It's reassuring to hear and definitely inspires me. Love the style of this video with the way you incorporated a mini vlog and Pika Cam. Happy belated birthday btw! ❤
Thanks for this video - for giving us a peak into your day and sharing those great tips! The last 2 tips were especially insightful for me, so I'll be working on changing my mindset about travel and making it a priority. I work a 9-5, and I see that I really have no excuses for not traveling more AND enjoying it! Thanks again!!!
I'm a server, I can't schedule my trips around holidays and tbh I wouldn't try my best to not book during holidays because it's busier and more expensive. No PTO. The best thing though is that for 4 months I'm super busy (Making $$$$$$$)and can't really take time off unless it's well in advance. February - May. Every other month is fair game which works out for me.
This is why I love your channel much, we share a similar travel philosophy. Totally agree about the sick days and local travel - my bestie and I take a midweek “wellness day” to go on a day trip. I’m also in NYC and appreciate the access we have to so many places via train/bus. 😊
Love love love this whole video. I just started a bank job and I’m trying to finesse my off days the best I can. I think it’s so weird how a lot of people make fun of me for making for making travel a priority. I currently have 3 trips coming up and I’m so excited! Thanks for this video!
Keep traveling!! People that are making fun of you probably aren’t having enough fun in life themselves. I’m so excited for your trips coming up!! Have the best time!! 😊😊
Great video, What sucks is the cost of the airfare around the weekends... I've found tickets to be on the higher side. I do the holidays as well, and complete the entire week. Cheers
Totally understand and I agree. That's always been one of the things I've had to weigh in my head.. like "is the destination worth me taking a day off on Monday to save a bit more on airfare?" I find that it'll just depend on how much your budget is and how many days you're willing to take off in order to get cheaper airfare.
Tip 7 really is the MOST important piece of advice. I prioritize travel all the time, and use anything I do to fill that desire and passion to explore the world. But it’s true I have people wonder as to how I do it or why, I guess I just do it because I can and want to #selfcare lol
Love this idea so much. this video confirms that it's time to travel. QQ: how do you accumulate your travel points without sticking to the same flight? please share
I mainly use Google Flights to look up prices first! Then I'll log into my credit card portal to see what my options for deeming points are. I'll either book flights using points or book directly on the airline website
definitely! I'm not gonna lie I'm not always 100% productive, but my trick is to get a really simple, quiet airbnb where you can zone in on work, central enough where you can pop out during lunch for a quick meal and explore the area after work. I also try to book a work-remote trip when I know my workload is a little lighter that week/month. I don't have any upcoming trips where I'll be working abroad, but I'll be sure to include some extra tips then!

Which websites do you rely on to book trips/flights other than google flights?

Hey Julie! Did you know the everywhere feature on skyscanner? Check it out
Need to check that out, thank you!!
Can you show us a video of how you get to holiday when you WF location? I find that I feel so distracted to actually work haha any tips or hacks?
