- No one can decree "the greatest" player of any musical instrument of course. Music is subjective, but Eddie is definitely in my personal top 20 greatest guitarists of all time. This is an outtake from the sessions for his 1977 solo album Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs
The late, great Eddie Hazel. Perhaps the most underrated Guitarist ever. - เพลง
Great 👍
FUNKADELIC NOW THAT'S THE US FUNK MOB, NEVER GOT THEIR DUE , BUT WE KNOW ABOUT THESE BAD ASS M.F....... LISTEN TO THESE CATS WOW , RECOGNIZE GREATNESS BUDDY , ED HAZEL , TIKI FULLWOOD , ON SKINS , BILLY BASS NELSON , ORIGINAL FUNKADELICS .ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE !!
Extra Funky 🤘🏿🤘🏿Tiki Fulwood is murdering those drums 🪘
Still amazing! What's even more amazing is how under the radar he is til this day. ...I'll never understand .
It'll make more sense to you when you realize how many people were just discovering how proficient Prince was on guitar AFTER his Hall of Fame induction performance... IN 2004!! 😮
Twenty years earlier, the man created one of the greatest guitar solos of all time with Purple Rain... yet people STILL slept on him. So it's no real surprise how they sleep on Eddie, even after Maggot Brain should've removed all doubt he belongs on Mount Olympus with the other guitar gods.
It's almost criminal that he isn't recognised more, his influence on many that came after him was immense.
I don't know any other guitarist that can match his funky playing expressions...Eddie Hazel made some great Funkadelic tunes that still gets played on my playlist...Funky Dollar Bill for one.
Imo, Buckethead is the only guitarist that comes close.
Stone groove, man.
