Yeah same I kinda just take the main colour of the character (for my sayaka maizono cosplay I use blue) and make it a more vibrant version of that colour and thats the colour I use lol
I found a way to make a full size bigger shoe fit, and that's by wearing multiple layers of socks. Of course this only works if your full foot is covered by the shoe, but it feels like you're walking on cushions, it's very comfortable even if you're wearing heels 😄
i just wanna add to this and say please if you do this use like a couple of pairs of your normal socks, and any more layers wear socks that are a couple of sizes too big! if you wear lots of pairs of socks that are your normal size to effectively make your foot bigger, it can compress your foot and cause pain! it is 10/10 comfy though i often will deliberately buy cosplay shoes too big for me so i can wear lots of socks hehe

In the vein of insoles, I find gel ones are really good for if you’re not used to walking around cons or if you’re gonna be wearing heels for the majority of the con day. They can really help with sore feet, as you have extra cushioning and if you get the woollen ones they are great for keeping your feet warm!
tip for big shoes: if you cant find insoles (idk how to spell it) wear thicker socks but if it still dosent fit you can pit multiple socks on and if the character wears specific socks like ibuki wear the cosplay socks on top of the sizing socks
Yesss thank you for talking about finding your angles in a new cosplay. A photographer wanted to take my photos but couldn’t take much because I was so uncomfortable and didn’t know what to do. It was super awkward. Lol so practice is important.

I’m planning on stepping up my cosplay this year with makeup, wig, and some prop I make so any tips will literally help and this is pretty helpful with taking pics and wig pinning!
I always buy my shoes half a size too big because I have to wear thicker insoles (yay flat feet?) but what works for me is a pair of cheap ones, then on top of that a pair of the good ones (I have to use the plantar fasciitis insoles, so it also supports my arch and it just helps from hurting). Honestly having a good pair of insoles is good anyway if you’re going to a convention as a lot of the time, there is a LOT of walking and your feet can kill you by the end of the day
Your videos help me a lot! I am going to my first cosplay convention in a few months and I have been watching your videos non-stop! I am going as Nezuko while a friend of mine is going as Tanjiro. Thank you for making these videos! :)

hello! i really want to cosplay as Nezuko for my first cosplay, and i want to know if its a good starter! if you have any tips for a new cosplayer, i would love that! -random weeb
For Nezuko I'd recommend buying the cosplay. I think it'll be ok as a starter if you buy everything. My advice is keep the wig in braids when you aren't using it bc it'll keep it from tangling. Also recommend that you consider using false lashes especially the magnetic ones (you can get good cheap ones on Amazon)
If its your first cosplay then I recommend not trying to do too vibrant of makeup especially for a character in a traditional outfit but just in general for your first cosplay keep the makeup simple until you think you're confident that you wanna brighten up your makeup a little bit 💜
IBUKI!!!! I LOVE THAT IBUKI COSPLAY!! also, my personal tip is to try and think about what kind of makeup look your character would do, then mix that in with your personal style
Leading on from the third tip about selfies, the thing I found that really improved my posing was actually using TikTok and making videos. It gave me practice for getting into character and staying in character for the duration of the shoot, emulating the energy the character puts out to feel more confident in front of a photographer. It also gave me the excuse to costest and cosplay more, so that's a bonus ;)
I have a tip for wig styling that I've seen around (it's for if you wanna use a crimper but don't have one) and it's just to braid each part of the wig then either use hairspray one them then take them out or flat iron them and take them out it works really well and really quickly
I want to cosplay a few characters, but their costumes are a bit revealing, for example, Yor (the Thorn princess outfit). I don't wear sleeveless, but if I can wear something underneath. I don't know what it is called, but it matches the skin, can someone help me out?

dumb question but; do you think the wig and make up thing (3:26) apply with big, colorful hats too? cus im gonna do a jester-ish hat that'll cover my hair but be really big and i suppose that might have an effect similar to that too
Do you have any hacks for keeping sleeves up that don’t attach to anything else? 😭 I’m wearing a Kaisa cosplay next year and during the fit test, they kept sliding down :/
I don't know if I'm too late but typically those sleeves are made with elastic in them to help them stay up. I'm pretty sure there are tutorials on how to add elastic to clothes that don't already have it
I will just go ahead and admit: The last cosplay I did was Venti from Genshin Impact, and I went to a con as him and that was actually the first time I wore the entire cosplay without certain things being missing. I had tried to put it on two times before, but life got in the way both times, so I never got to see what it really looked like before the con. I wish I did tbh, cause I feel like if I had gotten a better feel for the character some of the pictures I took there would've been much better.
Hii!! I wanted to ask if anyone knew any good cosplay tips for pinning hats to wigs?? I've tried looking for a video, but I can't seem to find any about that specific topic. I have my own way of doing it with bobby pins all around the hat, but my friend's cosplay has a hat and it's a little too thick to pin upwards with a bobby pin and it always falls and it's kind of annoying, so I was wondering if anyone has any tips for that!! If so, please tell me!
Thanks, for the tips they are quite helpful and I'm definitely going to use that way of pinning the wig down. But do you have a tip for how the lace front of my wig will stop coming off?
random question, I have this wig thats got a high pony tale, that slips back a little, i was wondering if I changed it to a low braid that it would slip backwards less? does anyone know if that would help solve the problem?
Hi there, Just wanted to let you have a typo in your title. Is one of the words suppose be Contests? Love your personality! I hope I can watch this tomorrow. I'm in the car right now! Hope you had a Happy Easter!
costest is a portmanteau of cosplay and test! it’s just a term people use when they’re testing out the basics of a cosplay without doing the full costume!
Another shoe tip! If the shoes you wanna wear with your cosplay aren't the most comfy to walk around in a bunch, bring another pair. Like for one of my cosplays, I'm going to wear black boots. I'm still trying to get used to them but they're probably still going to hurt my feet after a day or two at con, so I have a pair of comfortable black shoes that don't fit the look as well but don't make the cosplay flop. The shoes shouldn't affect your cosplay that much unless it's some really fancy shoes and the comfy ones are like a different color.
I know this was a long time ago but ty and I don't really know what and where to get the stuff for it but sorry if u can't help out it's not ur fault:)
My first cosplay is Runa and it’s going to be 61 dollars but I’ll be paying for it which will be most of it already and then finish the debt once I get more money(sorry momm 😭😭) Cause I’m getting the cosplay, the wig, a wig net(?), fangs, lashes, a choker, and butterfly clips for the wig cause it’s cute and also maybe white face paint so I can do cute little stars and stuff on my cheeks lol I’m doing it mainly for Halloween cause I think me and my friend group and one of their sister and sisters friends are all going trick or treating together and we are all cosplaying. one of my friends is going as beatle juice, the other as Albedo, me as Runa, the Albedo cosplayers sister is going as Kazuha and idk what her friend is going as but it’s going to be so much funnn
Wait so you just put the insole in the shoe and it works? (I'm sorry I just don't know what an insole is, are there like different sizes like- I'm sorry I'm so confused XD)
The BEST day for costesting IMO? Halloween. You get to wear it all day and it's a good test to see how it (and you) would hold up at a day of con. Pinning on your wig?!?! and here I am just slapping it on my head and getting annoyed with it falling off LOL
Another tip: Googly eyes can be used for everything from rivets to screws to fake piercings (including fake tongue piercings)

I have my own way of doing it with bobby pins all around the hat, but my friend's cosplay has a hat and it's a little too thick to pin upwards with a bobby pin and it always falls and it's kind of annoying, so I was wondering if anyone has any tips for that!! If so, please tell me!
You can glue those grippy metal clips to the underside of the hat, one on each side :) and then grip those into the wig cap!
Thanks, for the tips they are quite helpful and I'm definitely going to use that way of pinning the wig down. But do you have a tip for how the lace front of my wig will stop coming off?
tyy these were really helpful
Do you have any ideas on where you can buy cosplay and stuff because I wana start
random question, I have this wig thats got a high pony tale, that slips back a little, i was wondering if I changed it to a low braid that it would slip backwards less? does anyone know if that would help solve the problem?
Oh sweet I already put pins there
These are wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
This is a great channel!keep it up.nice job.
Where do I buy good quality make up I wanna paint my face im struggling cus I’m just starting cosplay n I’ve never done make up

IBUKI!!!! DANGANRONPA FAN COMING THRU
Hi there,
Just wanted to let you have a typo
in your title. Is one of the words
suppose be Contests? Love your personality! I hope I can watch this tomorrow. I'm in the car right now!
Hope you had a Happy Easter!
costest is a portmanteau of cosplay and test! it’s just a term people use when they’re testing out the basics of a cosplay without doing the full costume!
Wooo I’m early again 🥳
Another shoe tip! If the shoes you wanna wear with your cosplay aren't the most comfy to walk around in a bunch, bring another pair. Like for one of my cosplays, I'm going to wear black boots. I'm still trying to get used to them but they're probably still going to hurt my feet after a day or two at con, so I have a pair of comfortable black shoes that don't fit the look as well but don't make the cosplay flop. The shoes shouldn't affect your cosplay that much unless it's some really fancy shoes and the comfy ones are like a different color.
Sweet video.
Bro i have bad feet and need insouls specialy made(they were so expensive like) the worst part is i can only wear sneakers D:
Can you cosplay a character froma book? Or is that just considered "dressing up"
That would count as cosplay.
OML IBUKI AAAAAA
I know this was a long time ago but ty and I don't really know what and where to get the stuff for it but sorry if u can't help out it's not ur fault:)
I want you to do a description in Thai
GOSH IM EARLY 🎊
My first cosplay is Runa and it’s going to be 61 dollars but I’ll be paying for it which will be most of it already and then finish the debt once I get more money(sorry momm 😭😭)
Cause I’m getting the cosplay, the wig, a wig net(?), fangs, lashes, a choker, and butterfly clips for the wig cause it’s cute and also maybe white face paint so I can do cute little stars and stuff on my cheeks lol
I’m doing it mainly for Halloween cause I think me and my friend group and one of their sister and sisters friends are all going trick or treating together and we are all cosplaying. one of my friends is going as beatle juice, the other as Albedo, me as Runa, the Albedo cosplayers sister is going as Kazuha and idk what her friend is going as but it’s going to be so much funnn
2:42 sponsor ends😁
THANK YOU🙏🙏🙏
Wait so you just put the insole in the shoe and it works? (I'm sorry I just don't know what an insole is, are there like different sizes like- I'm sorry I'm so confused XD)
Yup, you cut it to the right size and then put it in the shoe.
@@AnyaPanda Thank you, love your content! (Also nice hair)
this is very helpful :)
IBUKI!!!
Quick tip, you can wear thick socks to fill out shoes/boots that are 0.5 or 1 size to big
“the wig will always turn down the makeup“
My wig: *being orange as heck for Hinata Shōyō cosplay*
Me: will it really work-
Ok random thought but is it me or does she look like Nancy from Stanger Things and these tips helped me alot thx!
The BEST day for costesting IMO? Halloween. You get to wear it all day and it's a good test to see how it (and you) would hold up at a day of con.
Pinning on your wig?!?! and here I am just slapping it on my head and getting annoyed with it falling off LOL
I saw a tip useing gluestick to keep side burn of wig to your head
