12:26 don't by shyyy, tell us what's behind the text. :3 Side note: I really enjoyed this video, it gave viewers an idea of how there's more to cosplay rather than just dressing up, and watching this reminds me of when watching Anthony Padilla's videos. I do hope this gathers more views.
This is actually such a cool video. I've never really been into cosplayer interview videos since a lot of them feel sorta like they're trying to be trendy I guess? But this one, I can really feel that there's passion for cosplay in this one. And learning about how hard cosplayers work to make their costumes makes you appreciate it so much more. And as a bonus you might be able to pick up a new technique or creative solution to a problem! Well done Sarah! :D
Thank you! I feel you on that for sure, I wanted to create a music showcase where the cosplayers voices would literally be heard, as theyres so much more to cosplay than just how we look, and we all have so much to say thats encouraging or helpful, so im so glad that comes across!
I appreciate the ranges of cosplays you covered from elaborate, foam, sewing, bought, and people making it their own. It's so nice to see how everyone got to shine in the video and the joy you could see from them having the chance to explain their process, hard work, and why they love cosplay
Good job Sarah, this video made me cry XD. Cosplay is such a unique art form. I love how you showcased so many different people, and so many different types of cosplay from completely hand made to thrifted and altered pieces. Cosplay should be for anyone who wants to do it and videos like this are a huge step towards making the community even more accessible and accepting
I love the fact that Sarah experienced explosive growth on her channel and now she using it to shine a light on other cosplayers. I found this channel pretty soon after the Miku wig and it's been fun watching the subscriber count go up ^_^
Is it weird that I got emotional watching this? 'Cause I'm bawling right now. 😭 The cosplays were so beautiful and amazing! I know I've always wanted to cosplay but made a million excuses not to (wrong skin tone, wrong body type, not affordable, will not make a good enough cosplay, etc.). I think this video just motivated me to pursue the goal and give cosplaying a proper chance. Thank you so much for making this great video! ❤
As someone who's been cosplaying off-and-on for nearly a decade I can promise you that it will completely change your life for the better!! No one's first few cosplays are perfect and you may even look back at your old ones later and cringe but you'll also be so glad that you had the courage to go for it!
I needed this video - I have a con in a week and I'm not done either of my two cosplays. So seeing all these people in their absolutely stunning cosplays is giving me the motivation I need to get my shit done!
I love this format and would love to see it again! I love seeing everyone’s cosplays and getting to know the more intricate details - it’s just approached with a lot of respect and care and I appreciate that ❤
THIS IS SO CUTE AND FUN I looooved seeing all the cosplays in this video and am definitely stealing some tricks I had never heard of before!!! Thank you for interviewing me ;u; it's a honor to be in this video with so many talented people. Also WOW RAID SHADOW LEGENDS SEEMS SO COOL AND FUN I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO CHECK IT OUT
Yes please ! Do it again, the vibe and energy was so positive ! Seeing people talking about their cosplay happily, going from the most astonishing cosplays to more simples ones (and yet seeing their work and their happiness towards what they(ve accomplished) feels so good and kinda motivating too!
Yeah . . . we desperately need more content like this. The interviews were just fantastic, and the end footage was stellar. I also thought the ambient noise of people talking, while clearly not intentional, actually added an interesting dynamic to the video.
This is my sign to seriously start a Yor cosplay. I began sewing this year because of accounts like yours, and Rachel Maksy, and Bernadette Banner and it’s brought me out of some really negative thought processes and my skills and confidence have increased as a result. I was just posting Yor photos on my “Cosplay Ideas” board today, then you posted this video featuring such a stunning Yor cosplay. I feel so inspired and ready to keep moving forward and challenging myself! Thank you for another great post!
This video is so adorable! I am delighted to see so many cosplayers of different races and weights and all very well executed and with highlights! As a fat Brazilian cosplayer, who fights a lot here in my country for respect for non-standard people in cosplay, I love seeing people of all kinds having fun and living their dreams! I dream of one day going to Katsucon or any other big North American event! Make more videos like this one! Can't wait for the others!
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THIS cosplay is such a unique craft in that there definitely are commonly accepted ways of doing things (e.g. crimping wigs, using eva foam, etc.) but there's just so much creativity in people figuring out how to take fictional designs and making them work in reality, and this was such a good illustration of that.
This is definitely the best cosplay interview video I've seen. It's so authentic, and comes from such a good place; a cosplayer looking to connect with others, and highlight what they love, to share with a much bigger community.
Huge kudos to everyone in the video!! You can see the love and care put into every single one of these cosplays. They're all gorgeous, everyone i hope you're proud of yourselves!!
•I’ve never experienced goosebumps from seeing cosplay, but this time it HAS happened- thanks to Nakita’s irreplaceable Doctor Strange cape! • Crystal and Courtney also did an absolutely incredible job with the little violet and turquoise splatters to fit Hades overall, and the way they used makeup on their faces is done perfectly as well to resemble the style again.. wow!
seeing a lot of plus size people be interviewed looking absolutely amazing in their handmade cosplays almost made me cry. i’ve always been interested in cosplay and i’ve always wanted to get into it but always felt so insecure about my body because growing up it was always thinner people being highlighted in all these different cosplay videos on youtube and social media. i’m really happy i got to see cosplayers who look like me and look absolutely amazing in their cosplays, will definitely be looking up all their socials :,)
As someone who is in the process of making their first cosplay(I’ve only closet cosplayed before), I find videos like these so helpful! It teaches me new methods and gives lots of inspiration.
The creativity from everyone is SO INSPIRING i may be a digital artist but the dedication these people display is ugh, so good. Makes me want to to more haha
im in the process of making a cosplay and it’s a lot of fun (and kinda stressful lol) so it’s really nice seeing others cosplays and hearing about how they made it
YES I'd love more cosplayer interviews like this! it really showed that you were interested in what they had to say- I started this video just oohing and aahing while taking craft notes, and ended it emotional with everybody else. It kinda shows in interview videos like this when the cosplayers get a few words in and they seem rushed, or their part seems tightly cut? these cosplayers all seemed relaxed with room to talk and be proud and it was great sharing that
YOU GOT A RAID SPONSORSHIP!!! Banger segway btw asdfsadfsa This video was so cool! Loved getting to see everyone's cosplays and hear how they made them
I think the next con I’m going to is in 2 weeks so these have popped up on my recommended page at the perfect time. The beautiful cosplays give me motivation to finish mine
I am brand new to cosplay, literally as of 24 hours ago! I came across your channel and this video specifically while going down the "beginner cosplay" rabbit hole here on TH-cam. Being a plus size person who has dreamed of cosplaying since I was in high school but never doing it because I felt my body didn't "fit" character I want to thank you for showing me that line of thinking is a load of crap!!!!
This video is great! I love the idea of cosplayer sharing stories about their progress that are not necessarily shared otherwise. The end section made me tear up bc I feel most of the times from the outside, cosplay is just seen as "dressing up" when in reality its so much more! I would love to see more videos like this in the future. Great job!
This video was absolutly adorable! I loved getting to not only see all the amazing cosplays, but a little insight into how they were made. Alos congrats on the sponsorship :D
Such a beautiful and inspiring format! I always love to listen to people speaking about what they're passionate about and I bet many of the cosplayers were super happy to be aked these questions
i dont rly watch vids like this bc i prefer to watch cosplay videos where it walks u through the process, but this video was so fun and genuine that i just couldnt put it down, i always love watching ur videos and u inspire me to make cosplays that i wouldve only believed were in my dreams, tysm:)
I love this! Thank you for sharing this showcase of so many different cosplayers and their creations! This is beautiful and thank you to all the cosplayers who shared details about their design and/or process!
Sarah, thank you SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! 💕💕💕 I'm a new displayed myself who wants to make my displays from scratch (because I'm a perfectionist and can't stand how cheap and bad the cosplay you buy online look), but all the complex sewing, knowing what fabrics, tools, and materials to use, and craftsmanship is very intimidating and costly, so I don't know what to do and feel at a loss when I just don't know how to construct a difficult part of a cosplay I want to do. So, seeimg the inspiration and methods used by professional cosplayers, including your cosplay and sewing tutorials on this channel is such a huge help, and I feel so much more confident about making my own displays now. There's nothing more gratifying than wearing a good looking and high quality cosplay that you made yourself. Again, thank you!
This was such a cool video, I love how you interviewed cosplayers of all different skill/experience levels! Would love to see more vids like this in the future :)
This was an incredible video. The range of craftsmanship was incred but it was also great to see people who were maybe beginners or had less time or skills doing their best to get their costume. Even buying it is valid. Also just how honest and special each conversation was. I hope you do more of these videos.
I don't know much about cosplay, but I love these kinda videos! Watching people show off things they worked so hard on is so sweet and serotonin and aaaaaaa
I'm attending a con this year again after not having been ever since 2017! I've never been super much into making cosplay myself (I tried but got very discouraged by how bad it looked),but I've always been into dressing up as characters. So this year I'm gonna give it another try! I'm not making it myself, but I use my own clothes and bought a bunch of accessories that feel like the character, and I'm styling a wig for the first time ever! There's so much work going into this wig alone, I can't imagine how much time people must spend on their self crafted cosplays, y'all are insanely talented!!
Love this. Love how passionate people are no matter their skill level. Creating is so much fun and sharing your creations with others and hearing what people have done is so joyful.
This video is such a beautiful celebration of the cosplay community. I love all your videos, but I think this one really highlighted the joy you take both in cosplay and in lifting up others. You have a gift!
The last part makes me teary :'))... It is truly magical in cosplaying... I've been enjoying myself from cosplaying and attending conventions from last til present. I'll do my best to be passionate on making my projects just like them ♥️💕...
This was such an inspiring and motivating video to watch, holy hell!!! I'm making my first prop for a cosplay ever for comic con this year (gaara's gourd) and I've been binging your channel to keep myself going. I'm so grateful that there are channels like yours that showcase everything cosplay related, thank you!!
Sutch an evolution of this channel! You’ve got nearly 100k in a year and I’m inspired of your work! Let me just point that I’m just 14 years old. I love your content “ please don’t ever stop with doing you”!
I binged pretty much everything on your channel over the past few days and your dedication and enthusiasm about sewing and cosplay is so inspiring. I'm a struggling student so I have neither the money nor the time to do cosplay, so I live vicariously through others. Thank you for randomly appearing in my recommended.
This is such an amazing video and it made me cryyyyy ;;;; I really love the community aspect of cosplay so much and you brought it together in such a beautiful way. Thank you so much for this
I love this video - it's so beautiful to get to hear people share their art and all their hard work. It's one thing to see all of these beautiful costumes, and its another to hear the artist wax poetic about it.
The algorithm recently blessed me with recommending your channel while I was going down a corset rabbit hole, and I've just finished watching every one of your videos while working on my very first cosplay project. I literally have a Bachelor's degree in theatrical sewing with almost 10 years of experience, and you've taught me things. You're wonderful. I will be here forever.
So many great costumes. I love hearing everyone talk about their process. A true labor of love. I also want to say thank you Sarah. I used to feel like a complete idiot for not being able to under stand written pattern instructions. You mentioned that you don't either and really visualize what you need to do. It inspired me to try again and I finished my first mockup of a dress. Plenty of room for improvement but I forged on when the instructions made me go cross eyed. LOL. Love your channel. Take care.
It was amazing to learn how everyone made their cosplays. I talked to a lot of cosplayers at Katsu this year and learned so many techniques I had no idea about and so excited to use them for a future project. Please continue this kind of content!
Absolutely LOVE this video. Lots of people capture attendees and who the character is (if that, a lot of the time we don't even get a name and good luck figuring it out), but not how they made it or what they love about it. Obviously a video by a maker about makers for other makers, and wow did I love hearing how people made things and what they got excited about learning! Absolutely brilliant, well done!
I absolutely love this video! I always want to ask people what their favorite part of their cosplay is or their favorite construction technique, but I'm usually too shy in person. I love the collaborative nature of the community and getting to learn new tips and tricks from people, so I would love to see more videos like this in the future! Also it's super heartwarming to hear how much passion everyone has for their cosplays, and for the community overall. You're such a great part of the cosplay community, and you put so much effort into all the great content you put out! Thanks for being such a great resource and inspiration to everyone! Also I actually laughed out loud for the Raid sponsor transition, A+ job lol
I absolutely love this format. It's informative and allows us to get to know the cosplayers and their challenges while also letting us appreciate the final product. Usually, the two are disconnected with youtube videos and it's a real shame. You definitely need to do another one!
watching this a day after leaving a wonderful con is making my cry its SO fun to see everyone and honestly its got some great techniques iv never heard of that I wanna try out on my next cosplay!!
I've been daydreaming abt cosplaying for a while now, and this video is such an inspiration to me. It's so cool to see all these different people make such unique costumes. Idk, it gives me hope that one day I could make something like that; thank you for making this :)
these were all lovely cosplays - i love the range in this video wrt where everyone's cosplays started (bought, made, canon accurate, redesigns, etc) they're all so fun and brilliant!! i couldn't choose a favourite but i must say i'd be so excited to see jana's totoro in person
THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. It's so wonderful when people talk about their cosplays and how many ours of hardwork they put in and how much fun they have being their favorite characters. Thanks for giving them all a nice spotlight to do so :)
Cosplaying is just so cool! I've recently been trying to learn more about Cosplaying because it sounds like something I would love doing! Unfortunately I'd have to wait awhile til I could really get into it.... I was kind of surprised that I actually recognized quite a few of the cosplayers you interviewed(as in I recognized the characters they were cosplaying). Amazing video! Keep up the good work!
I love this :) please make more if you ever feel like it! Hearing people speak about the love they have for their costumes, about the skills they learned and used and just seeing the costumes for real, not just the final posed, edited bits of it we see on Instagram really makes me wish to take this hobby back up
I loved this video. Truth be told after cosplaying for 10+ years and losing confidence in my lack of still progression, I very nearly threw in the towel on something I'd once loved. But it's through your videos and others like it I'm learning to fall in love with cosplay again. It's seeing the passion and craft that people have for this hobby. I'd love to see more videos like this in future.
Sooo lovely!! I've started collecting materials needed for the cosplays I aim to complete for Anime North this May, but when it comes down to the actual construction work I tend to get scared and procrastinate >.< but watching videos like this really boost my drive to get on it!!
please keep doing these! knowing how much work, time, problem solving, and passion went into projects is my absolute favorite part of cosplay (i cry literally everytime i hear someone talking about it, including this time lmaoo) and we so rarely get to see anything but the aesthetics of the costumes when we walk the floor. i know i would love if i ran into you doing one of these so im sure these people were so happy to get to talk about it!
This video really shows the spark and charm about cosplaying which i have been trying SO LONG to tell my mother. This was such a great video showing each person creativity etc 😍
I love the way you explain the techniques and insider terms that people not in the sewing community wouldn’t necessarily know. You explained them in a way I would never have thought to but you really have a gift for putting things in terms people just getting into this craft can understand. This was a lovely video!
I loved this video!!! Hearing people talk about costumes they’re passionate about making made me smile c: I’m an amateur cosplayer so I love seeing all the techniques people talk about 💕

The Dr. Strange cape gave me literal chills. The amount of work and detail that went into that cape!!!
That cape seems pretty heavy.
Also it probably contains an eternity of work.

This video is such a beautiful celebration of the cosplay community. I love all your videos, but I think this one really highlighted the joy you take both in cosplay and in lifting up others. You have a gift!
I love hearing about people's favorite part of their cosplay!! And also about the construction, definitely. Loved the format a lot!!
This was so fun to watch!!! I love seeing other cosplayers talk about the hard work they put into their costumes! I really loved Altas' Miku!
I binged pretty much everything on your channel over the past few days and your dedication and enthusiasm about sewing and cosplay is so inspiring. I'm a struggling student so I have neither the money nor the time to do cosplay, so I live vicariously through others. Thank you for randomly appearing in my recommended.
Please please continue this series it rly made my day 💗💗💗
This is such an amazing video and it made me cryyyyy ;;;; I really love the community aspect of cosplay so much and you brought it together in such a beautiful way. Thank you so much for this
Omg these all gave me so many ideas!! Ahhh I love these cosplays and people so much!
I loved this interview style! Everyone was so amazingly skilled and dedicated!
Idk, it gives me hope that one day I could make something like that; thank you for making this :)
everytime you upload I end up crying!! cosplay is such a beautiful art form and I can see how passionate everyone is
these were all lovely cosplays - i love the range in this video wrt where everyone's cosplays started (bought, made, canon accurate, redesigns, etc) they're all so fun and brilliant!! i couldn't choose a favourite but i must say i'd be so excited to see jana's totoro in person
THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. It's so wonderful when people talk about their cosplays and how many ours of hardwork they put in and how much fun they have being their favorite characters. Thanks for giving them all a nice spotlight to do so :)
THIS IS SO CUTE AHHHHH please make more of these!!!
Hearing people speak about the love they have for their costumes, about the skills they learned and used and just seeing the costumes for real, not just the final posed, edited bits of it we see on Instagram really makes me wish to take this hobby back up
I actually went! I wished I would have met you, I have been a fan of you for a while. But I hope you had fun when you were there!
I LOVE THIS CONCEPT! i know cosplayers would love to geek out and tell interviewers stuff about the process of their work too!!!
I genuinely really enjoyed this video, I hope you do more of this type!
I'd love to see more videos like this in future.
i love love LOVE this!! makes you learn the heart, soul, sweat, blood, and tears to make a character come alive. I'm so eager to make cosplays again!
This video is so cool, everyone in the video were so nice and creative (^o^)
Honestly I love this kind of content and your editing made the video so much more fun and engaging ❤
Thank you so much!!
aaaa i love everyones cosplays sm!!! all the love for the miku cosplayers
10:01 MDZS COSPLAYER!! I love mdzs so much ahah, good job to every cosplyer. they're did so amazing
Holy shit Sarah, what a great video! huge props on the formatting, wow
Videos like this really highlight my favorite part about cosplaying, it really motivated me to finish some of my current cosplay projects aaa
This video really shows the spark and charm about cosplaying which i have been trying SO LONG to tell my mother. This was such a great video showing each person creativity etc 😍
I like this format alot! It's neat to hear both how the cosplayers made their costumes, but also what they like about it. More please!
Love this. I have watched it many times. It really is giving me the courage to keep trying to make my first cosplay
Absolutely do this again!! It's such a cool thing when people explain the craftsmanship behind the cosplays! Love this!!
