Just so you know. Don Mclean re-released 'American Pie' for its 50th anniversary *_with Home Free._* He gave each member other than Adam a verse. Adam beatboxed non-stop for the *entire song* without stopping. (I head he nearly blacked out)

I love the versatility that all the guys have and the chemistry amongst them is obvious! They never look like it's just a job to them and we never leave a video of theirs saying "Meh, it was ok." And the way that they promote other artists makes them such a class act! When they collaborate, they never save all the juicy bits for themselves! Their ability to stay humble and so generous in their art by sharing wonderful, pertinent messages as well as the spotlight, make them so easy to love! I have yet to find a song that I don't love done by Home Free or any of their personal projects! Thank you for another terrific reaction! Loved it! ❤

Did you notice that Tim sings down the octave during the a cappella breakdown? He lands on an Eb1, then immediately jumps up to an Eb4 on the next harmony part.
When Tim was moving the capo, he gave Jeffery a look of mischief. (You know it was planned.) It was a cool video/ performance add. I love these little adds they do either in live shows or videos.
HANDS ARE BOTH UP ! Their musicallity + your analysis Jennifer, is a combo that can't be beat. I'd love to hear you analyze Austin Brown's songs IF I met you now, one he co-wrote with Jeffrey East by the way....Jeffrey also collabed with Home Free on an incredible song called People that you have to see...Jeffrey wrote it, and it's just amazing but the video is just as amazing...the 50 year story of an apartment/flat and all the "people' that have lived there...it's simply BEAUTIFUL...the lyrics will get you !!!

I missed this reaction! I found it when I saw that these guys (Brown, Foust, Chatham, East, and Ernie Halter) put out another song today: "Coming Home to You" (on Austin's/Tim's streaming channels).
And even though I have heard the individual Home Free guys' solo/collab. stuff aplenty - I find it odd when there is non-Rupp instrumentation in a song.

I had the privilege of seeing these guys (plus Christopher Marion and Adam Rupp) a few weeks ago at a Tim Foust and Friends show. Jeffrey East is just the sweetest and a phenomenal songwriter.

These two together are just phenomenal!. I love when they work together. Austin has that angelic voice. Just beautiful. Tim can change his range anytime. That is crazy to hear from a bass singer. They are both flawless.
The guys are so generous. They actively support other singers. Jeffrey opened for them for at least one tour
They also sing with #PeterHollens & #TexasHill. Great stuff!
Jeffrey is wonderful singer/songwriter who opened for Home Free in Europe in 2018, and they been friends ever since, including writing songs for their last album, and with Tim and Austin for their solo work. I second the recommendation for his song People, which he sang with Home Free, or Messes, either solo or with Tim's wife, Jenika Marion.

The pure EXCITEMENT that shows on your face as you try to break the skills down while getting caught in those "fangirl" moments is wonderful. The more that they do, the faster you talk... And the faster you talk, the deeper into your beautiful "accent" you slide.

Another great reaction, Jennifer! This is why I-m looking forward to Tim's B-day streaming on July 22nd. They are still selling tickets for another bash. I'm not sure where in the US, but I wish I was there.
We all need moments, and Home Free is very good at giving them to us. I just got Tim's new cd in the mail yesterday and couldn't stop smiling and singing along as I listened. It absolutely made my day better. I love how you explain the things you notice that make their singing so wonderful.

I want to do a reaction video to your reactions--"Notice how Jennifer scrunches up her face and points up to demonstrate the high notes, and then sings Tim's part hitting those low notes as well or better than he does. And now she takes a well deserved moment to recover from Tim's entrance, notice how she widens her eyes and leans back slightly to absorb the awesomeness of the mandolin solo, then leans forward, sticking her tongue out slightly to release that tension, now both hands up to her face to keep the smile from flying off--lol, I can go on, but it's just so cool to watch these reactions. I feel like you feel and get the same things I do, and you make me notice things I wouldn't notice without you!

I love the way these men are a solid a capella group, but also go off in their own directions also. They collaborate with some amazing singers. Jen, please find on TH-cam a performance by Artie Garfinkel in what I believe was a post Simon & Garfunkel song: "All I Know". I think it shares several musical elements with "What's It to You?" The influence of previous generations of musicians on more contemporary musician performers is sometimes circuitous but in this case it's direct and strong.
That is such a great song! And Larry Knechtel's piano should not be missed!

Love Home Free and so envious of Tim's range. Have your ever reviewed David Phelps? He primarily sings southern Gospel covers and writes and performs his own music as well. No More Nights or Oh Holy Night are just a couple of his covers that you might want to check out. He is a power house and in my humble opinion one of the best Tenors on the planet today

I hear tim on those really low notes then on his lead verse, he sounds like a totally different dude singing. Hes got one of those voices where if you didnt see him singing in all his different range areas, you would think it was different dudes.
You should do a reaction the Home Free Brothers In Arms. It is their best song ever.
As they said in the My Maria video. You can bid on having them come play in your back yard! (granted, you'll likely need to incorporate the plane tickets but.... ). I'm sure, they'll make it back over to that side of the pond sooner rather than later.
Home Free are so generous in promoting their opening acts. Jeffrey East opened for them in 2019 and 2020. Texas Hill was their opening act in 2021. Home Free featured them in several videos.

As someone else mentioned, Jeffrey East has a collaboration with Home Free called "People". When Christmas rolls around (or whenever you feel like it), Home Free, The Oak Ridge Boys and Jeffrey East have a collaboration on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem".
I had not heard Jeffrey East before I saw this video. But since then I have listened to a lot of his music. He's an amazing songwriter, responsible for several Home Free songs. And he's part of Sweet & Low now. But you probably know all of that by now. Your comment about loving music reminds me of one of his videos, Older Chests, which is a duet with Tim's wife, Jenika. At the very end of the video, long after you think it's over, Jeffrey almost whispers "I love makin' music." Could anything be more emblematic of a great musician? If you haven't seen any of his solo work, I recommend Wouldn't Need You, Love Again or Because of Yours as a good place to start.
