this vocal group has so much bright beautiful color the tight harmonizing such a good song for them so powerful so many really good songs in american country music
I love the versatility that all the guys have and the chemistry amongst them is obvious! They never look like it's just a job to them and we never leave a video of theirs saying "Meh, it was ok." And the way that they promote other artists makes them such a class act! When they collaborate, they never save all the juicy bits for themselves! Their ability to stay humble and so generous in their art by sharing wonderful, pertinent messages as well as the spotlight, make them so easy to love! I have yet to find a song that I don't love done by Home Free or any of their personal projects! Thank you for another terrific reaction! Loved it! ❤
I had the privilege of seeing these guys (plus Christopher Marion and Adam Rupp) a few weeks ago at a Tim Foust and Friends show. Jeffrey East is just the sweetest and a phenomenal songwriter. Jen, thank you so much for your reactions. I learn so much by watching them and it makes me appreciate the music even more.
These two together are just phenomenal!. I love when they work together. Austin has that angelic voice. Just beautiful. Tim can change his range anytime. That is crazy to hear from a bass singer. They are both flawless.
When Tim was moving the capo, he gave Jeffery a look of mischief. (You know it was planned.) It was a cool video/ performance add. I love these little adds they do either in live shows or videos.
Just so you know. Don Mclean re-released 'American Pie' for its 50th anniversary *_with Home Free._* He gave each member other than Adam a verse. Adam beatboxed non-stop for the *entire song* without stopping. (I head he nearly blacked out)
What a fun reaction! This is a great cover and you were great fun to watch - what with all of the different looks you flashed throughout, from surprise to bewilderment. This was an excellent reaction! Well done Jen, loved it!
Oh man, these guys are so good. Love the mandolin. Chris and Jeffrey just round it out. Love Tim’s low notes and Austin’s high notes are stellar. Such a good song. I never tire of hearing them. Great reaction Jen, I’m with you. You can get lost in listening to them. 🥰
HANDS ARE BOTH UP ! Their musicallity + your analysis Jennifer, is a combo that can't be beat. I'd love to hear you analyze Austin Brown's songs IF I met you now, one he co-wrote with Jeffrey East by the way....Jeffrey also collabed with Home Free on an incredible song called People that you have to see...Jeffrey wrote it, and it's just amazing but the video is just as amazing...the 50 year story of an apartment/flat and all the "people' that have lived there...it's simply BEAUTIFUL...the lyrics will get you !!!
Jennifer, I always look forward to your Home Free reactions! The guys are fun & exciting & you're fun & exciting watching them! This one simply makes me smile all the way through! Of course Tim & Austin are amazing but so are Chris & Jeffrey! Chris is incredibly talented & loved the Mandolin in this song. Jeffrey is so adorable & also super talented! I fell in love with this video the moment they released it! 😊
The pure EXCITEMENT that shows on your face as you try to break the skills down while getting caught in those "fangirl" moments is wonderful. The more that they do, the faster you talk... And the faster you talk, the deeper into your beautiful "accent" you slide.
Jennifer, we all are thinking what you are saying with these vocals. This is a great combo of voices and instruments. All you can do is sit appreciate the sound. You nail it with your commentaries and seem to love these guys as much a I do.
i love your reaction you are great. side note last night i got to watch Home Free live for the first time . The music was great but also it was the most entertaning show ive seen. i hope you get to see them live you will have blast.
I missed this reaction! I found it when I saw that these guys (Brown, Foust, Chatham, East, and Ernie Halter) put out another song today: "Coming Home to You" (on Austin's/Tim's streaming channels). And even though I have heard the individual Home Free guys' solo/collab. stuff aplenty - I find it odd when there is non-Rupp instrumentation in a song. Jen, your reaction channel has increased my education on voice/music dramatically! Thank you for all you do. :)
8:57, yes, YES!!! LUV Y'ALL!!! We help each other!!! You caught it!!! 😁 These little things with Home Free, keeps me coming back to them!!! And, you, too!!! Thank you for catching that amid everything else you "catch"! ❤️
Did you notice that Tim sings down the octave during the a cappella breakdown? He lands on an Eb1, then immediately jumps up to an Eb4 on the next harmony part.
Thanks for your analysis. The guys all did an awesome job. Hadn't heard this song before but I really like it. Also nice hearing Chris play the mandolin.
I was in Glasgow earlier this year and saw a Home Free poster, so they must come over sometimes. I agree, would be great to see any or all of them live!
There's just so much talent here...sultry country, man, this is sweet! And YOU, young lady, stop playin' and give us your bass notes, we know you can do it!!!
Jeffrey is wonderful singer/songwriter who opened for Home Free in Europe in 2018, and they been friends ever since, including writing songs for their last album, and with Tim and Austin for their solo work. I second the recommendation for his song People, which he sang with Home Free, or Messes, either solo or with Tim's wife, Jenika Marion.
Fun! This song will be running around in my head now. I had already seen this one, and loved how Tim moved the capo for the key change. Gave us a head’s up! So much to take in musically and vocally. Gonna watch this a few more times. 😊 Great job! ❤️
We all need moments, and Home Free is very good at giving them to us. I just got Tim's new cd in the mail yesterday and couldn't stop smiling and singing along as I listened. It absolutely made my day better. I love how you explain the things you notice that make their singing so wonderful. And yes, I heard Shut Up and Dance too! 😋❤
Love hearing your reactions..I listen to a lot of Home Free. Love to hear your analyze music..I don't know much about music, but listening to you I learn a lot..I hope all goes well with your busy schedule and "Hi" to your Mom..
I LOVE your reactions! And how excited you get - wonderful fun. Almost as good as being there live, because there is someone with me watching and listening!!
Austin is a Georgia boy, and he'll bring it every time. Like Tim. Like Chris. Like Jeffrey. This is a ridiculous amount of talent...thank you, sweet girl, for your spot on reaction. My hubby is a musician, but you've explained things more clearly 🤫😁
I really enjoyed this cover, they knocked it out of the park ! Such flair and cohesion in the performance. As usual Jennifer you brought your special brand of passion and enthusiasm! Keep on enjoying yourself and following your own instincts. I like that you have a way of putting a smile on my face.
Jen! One of my favorite reactions from you. I could feel the love. This rendition is just on point and infectious! If you don't feel like moving to this one Ya'll need some vitamins or somethin'. 😋
Great review! I love these guys so much! It’s just a treat every time we get to hear any of them. Such great talent! They’re all so laid back, even when you meet them in person, & they do make us feel like we know them! #HomeFryForLife
Awww, thank you Ms. Glatzhofer, JUST what I needed today to relax and enjoy my evening! As always luv the channel, and your reactions and especially your sharing of your musical knowledge with us. Keep up the amazing content, you're awesome!
Some UK Fries are planning a Backyard Bash next time the guys are over here (possibly next year). The boys seem to like you, as who would not, so watch this space - would love to see you collaborate with them!
Jennifer I enjoy your reactions so much. I love how you don't take yourself seriously and just let loose. It's fun to watch you fangirl over these "bois". Cracked me up when you just nonchalantly said "I'm so funny" speaking about Tim moving the capo to adjust for the key change. Just love when you laugh at these guys. Keep up the great reactions!
Another great reaction, Jennifer! This is why I-m looking forward to Tim's B-day streaming on July 22nd. They are still selling tickets for another bash. I'm not sure where in the US, but I wish I was there.
I hope it's not to late to say hello to your mom. Hi, Jennifer's mom. You must be a great mother. You raised an amazing young lady! She's funny. Entertaining, mischievous, has a lovely singing voice and very knowledgeable and cute as all get out! Jennifer, I caught that " without any further ado! You brighten everyone's day!
I want to do a reaction video to your reactions--"Notice how Jennifer scrunches up her face and points up to demonstrate the high notes, and then sings Tim's part hitting those low notes as well or better than he does. And now she takes a well deserved moment to recover from Tim's entrance, notice how she widens her eyes and leans back slightly to absorb the awesomeness of the mandolin solo, then leans forward, sticking her tongue out slightly to release that tension, now both hands up to her face to keep the smile from flying off--lol, I can go on, but it's just so cool to watch these reactions. I feel like you feel and get the same things I do, and you make me notice things I wouldn't notice without you!
As they said in the My Maria video. You can bid on having them come play in your back yard! (granted, you'll likely need to incorporate the plane tickets but.... ). I'm sure, they'll make it back over to that side of the pond sooner rather than later.
As someone else mentioned, Jeffrey East has a collaboration with Home Free called "People". When Christmas rolls around (or whenever you feel like it), Home Free, The Oak Ridge Boys and Jeffrey East have a collaboration on "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem".
I enjoyed watching you do a review again. You really enjoy what you do. You have such a great voice, is there any videos of you singing? I always learn interesting facts listening to you. Thank you for your review. Take care and stay well.
Love Home Free and so envious of Tim's range. Have your ever reviewed David Phelps? He primarily sings southern Gospel covers and writes and performs his own music as well. No More Nights or Oh Holy Night are just a couple of his covers that you might want to check out. He is a power house and in my humble opinion one of the best Tenors on the planet today
I always wait and watch your reaction videos at the end of the day because I know that it'll be a warm, funny, positive and educational way to end it. I love the way these men are a solid a capella group, but also go off in their own directions also. They collaborate with some amazing singers. BTW, Peter Hollens mentioned at the end of his last recent collaboration with Tim on Billy Joel's "And So It Goes" that he and Tim will be releasing an album. Now, THAT should be interesting.
Hey Jennifer loved your reaction and breakdown. You should request they come to your UK backyard and perform. They claim something like almost nothing is impossible when it comes to requests.
Home Free are so generous in promoting their opening acts. Jeffrey East opened for them in 2019 and 2020. Texas Hill was their opening act in 2021. Home Free featured them in several videos.
Thank you Jen! I always enjoy your reaction and analysis, also your sense of humor and lovely demeanor. It ways actually through viewing Home Free that I found your channel and I'm glad I did. So when you make a video with Home Free or the guys from Home Free that's always an extra special treat. I truly believe you would enjoy Home Free's cover of "Helplessly Hoping". It's an incredible example of five part harmony and can be quite a moving experience as well. I'm hoping (helplessly) you will review it. ;)
The 4 of them, plus Ernie Hanks (all of whom are singer/song writers) and Louisa Marion (Tim's sister-in-law, a violinist) are in a side project of Tim and Austin's called "Sweet & Low Music Co.". Tim & Austin intend to pursue this when they're not touring/singing/videoing with Home Free. They've had 2 live streams so far. I'm really not sure when they breathe considering Tim, Austin, Chris Chatham and Jeffrey East each have their own channels as well! Love this song & your reactions to it.
I had not heard Jeffrey East before I saw this video. But since then I have listened to a lot of his music. He's an amazing songwriter, responsible for several Home Free songs. And he's part of Sweet & Low now. But you probably know all of that by now. Your comment about loving music reminds me of one of his videos, Older Chests, which is a duet with Tim's wife, Jenika. At the very end of the video, long after you think it's over, Jeffrey almost whispers "I love makin' music." Could anything be more emblematic of a great musician? If you haven't seen any of his solo work, I recommend Wouldn't Need You, Love Again or Because of Yours as a good place to start.
Jen, please find on TH-cam a performance by Artie Garfinkel in what I believe was a post Simon & Garfunkel song: "All I Know". I think it shares several musical elements with "What's It to You?" The influence of previous generations of musicians on more contemporary musician performers is sometimes circuitous but in this case it's direct and strong.
Another excellent reaction and just a heads up that the guys have said they are trying/hoping to get to Europe and possibly Australia in the first half of 2023.
"I'm sorry, that does sound like Shut Up and Dance, right?" They do that sometimes, if you ever listen to Amazed, there's one of these little Easter eggs in that one too.
this vocal group has so much bright beautiful color the tight harmonizing such a good song for them so powerful so many really good songs in american country music
Things I never knew I needed, Tim Foust singing a Clay Walker song. 😍
I love the versatility that all the guys have and the chemistry amongst them is obvious! They never look like it's just a job to them and we never leave a video of theirs saying "Meh, it was ok." Keep listening and mimicking their vocals and you’ll eventually develop a wonderful southern accent. Love it!

Thank you! Jeffery East featuring Home Free People is absolutely amazing!

Rewatching this reaction and loving that you recently got to meet Home Free❤
Beautiful song, beautiful reaction❤
Thanks mamma!!
Heeey, there's mama "My Maria!" - I hope you are SO proud of Jen, she's awesome! How lovely it is so see you here, joining the community! :)

Jeffery East is just amazing!
I love that Austin is showing off his beautiful lady's poster as part of the backdrop to this love song.

i'm obsessed with tim's smile
Jeffrey East is a friend of the guys and has been featured in a couple of songs with Home Free as well as collaborating/writing some of their music.
So much talent in those four people!!! Glad you are doing reactions....learning so much!

Great reaction and analysis, as per usual. ❤️
Thank you😁
It is now time to throw your shoe. They are pounding out hits every week. The range and runs are unreal.
