They did some short sections of that song on front of video and then it would dive into this song. Original artist name was Rick so for April fools day they rickroled us. They were all short. Besides being so wonderfully sung by Rob, with the great harmonies, deep bass and the inhuman good vocal percussion, it's also really hilarious!! And Austin's cat😂This just makes you so happy!! So give me Home Free and everything will be fine. No matter what genre, serious or funny, slow or fast, Home Free does it. One by one such good voices with their own specialties and the best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is. They look for which voice best fits the song. I think that in all songs, every voice has a certain important function that makes it sound so unbelievably good. And what makes them even more powerful and perfect is that they have no egos, there is no rivalry, the good personalities, the brotherhood and the fun they have (front and behind the scenes)

You're much too young to remember the original of this song by Rick Astley. Unfortunately, I'm not too young to remember it! I also remember all those dance moves Tim was throwing out--those were actual dance moves from back in the 1980's (I was in my late 20's and early to mid 30's back in the 80's). I just love this video because it's so true to what the 80's were really like. Reactors who know something about film also have indicated that this was done on the film type used in the 1980's--they can tell the difference, I can't. But they appreciate it and I appreciate that Home Free went to the trouble of doing that even though film idiots like me won't know the difference.

Just think, they used to make fun of themselves all during the SO (Sing Off) about not being able to dance. But I'm with you... I need more Tim dancing!! 😉 Who knew he had that much energy. He really embodied the entire 80s; headband and guyliner galore. 😄 And Austin, I think, had the most fun and had me giggling the entire time. They never skimp on "details"; in vocal arrangement or videos. I can't get enough of Tim's funky bassline in this. It's so cool how he did that. No, the original track was completely produced in the UK, not the US, and the styling reflects pretty exactly the original video. Nothing to do with US culture, everything to do with the (at the time)dominant British culture. Why do Americans always try to claim everything?

Most of the looks and dance moves come from the original Rick Astly video. Go and watch that one and you notice them giving homage to the original and the 80’s.
Love this and all the songs on the Sounds of Lockdown album. Home Free really were the most inventive and productive group during this period of time. There are several songs that didn't make it on the album including the first one that they did titled Quarantine. Tim Foust wrote it as a parody of Billy Joel's Honesty. It set the stage for the next two dozen videos that they did in 2020 and 2021.
It was a running joke just how much Rick couldn’t dance. This video is a play on that aspect. They even released this on April Fools while they made three different videos (Bohemian Rhapsody was one) to make everyone think they did those songs. They totally Rick-rolled everyone.

This one cracks me up! Rick Astley was notorious for not being a great dancer. So many of the moves are awkward on purpose. And the clothes they're wearing also mimic outfits that he wore! I love this magical little herd of Unicorns! No matter the genre or the style, or mood of the song, it's always about the music! There are very few bands that I can say that haven't got a dud in their lineup. Home Free is that band for me! There are some songs I love more than others, but none that I dislike in the least. Their dedication to their craft is readily apparent. I was already a huge fan, but Home Free definitely got me, and soooo many others through the pandemic in much better mental health than if they hadn't been around! Love your reactions! ❤

No, the original track was completely produced in the UK, not the US, and the styling reflects pretty exactly the original video. Nothing to do with US culture, everything to do with the (at the time)dominant British culture. Why do Americans always try to claim everything?

Don't know if anyone else remembers but this was part of an April Fool's video where they started with another song - I believe it was a Queen song - and just when they pulled you in with that they Rick-rolled us. It was hilarious. I don't this the original is public anymore but I still get a laugh every time I see this.

Most of the looks and dance moves come from the original Rick Astly video. Go and watch that one and you notice them giving homage to the original and the 80’s.
Love this and all the songs on the Sounds of Lockdown album. Home Free really were the most inventive and productive group during this period of time. There are several songs that didn't make it on the album including the first one that they did titled Quarantine. Tim Foust wrote it as a parody of Billy Joel's Honesty. It set the stage for the next two dozen videos that they did in 2020 and 2021.

It was a running joke just how much Rick couldn’t dance. This video is a play on that aspect. They even released this on April Fools while they made three different videos (Bohemian Rhapsody was one) to make everyone think they did those songs. They totally Rick-rolled everyone.

This one cracks me up! Rick Astley was notorious for not being a great dancer. So many of the moves are awkward on purpose. And the clothes they're wearing also mimic outfits that he wore! I love this magical little herd of Unicorns! No matter the genre or the style, or mood of the song, it's always about the music! There are very few bands that I can say that haven't got a dud in their lineup. Home Free is that band for me! There are some songs I love more than others, but none that I dislike in the least. Their dedication to their craft is readily apparent. I was already a huge fan, but Home Free definitely got me, and soooo many others through the pandemic in much better mental health than if they hadn't been around! Love your reactions! ❤
