  • Before he decided to turn his life around and quit the illegal business, Cavario was a major drug dealer in Baltimore. The era he was dealing in and the operation he was a part of went on to influence the critically acclaimed show The Wire. He explains what Baltimore was REALLY like at the time.

Just like my older homies who got money in the town from the 70s into the middle 80s and they did it with the BIGGEST dudes in Baltimore's history ----WHOM I also know.
      Like myself, ALL of these people have made shi+ tons of cash in that city and NONE of us have ANYTHING but appreciation for what we were able to accomplish there.
      I'm certain that the people that you're referring to were that wave of shi+-for-brains, nobodyazz niqquhz that came flooding from Up-Top from the mid-90s on. A lot of them were little peons that dudes brought down to try and put a few dollars in their dustyazz pockets but as soon as they had $2 over lunch money, a lot of them decided to sneak back to Washington Heights to buy their own coupl'a ounces and then bring an even littlier niqquh down and put his slowazz on the block because they could pay him pennies and control his movement because he didn't know anybody else, meanwhile they got to play boss. if you're 40 now that means you were either born in 1983 and you're soon turning 41 or you were born in 1984 and your birthday recently passed. Either way you were 6 or 7 years old when I first hit B'more. I left in 1995 when they started that $4 and $6 "pill" shi+. You would've been 12 or 13 by then. I then went to NC, and retired from the "Thing" 2-years later. You would've been 14 or 15 by that time, and JUST getting in the streets---that's assuming that you've EVER been in the streets. You're DEFINITELY trying to SOUND like it in these comments. But then I know a LOT'a you NEW niqquhz believe that the unfortunate accident of you being born in a poor, neglected city or neighborhood some how magically makes you a street-niqquh. 🤣🤣🤣 The shi+'s ridiculous! 🤦‍♂ Y'all just cannot or WILL NOT accept that you're poor squares stuck living in a war zone of desperate, ignorant people tryin'a figure some shi+ out with NO REAL information. • @Cavario_the_mind_plug
      @Cavario_the_mind_plug 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Let me explain something to you about "vouching"; It is a term that means something very different in the criminal world than it means in the square world. That difference is that in the square world if you vouch for someone and get them a job or access to an opportunity and then they phuck-up, you may lose your vouching privileges, and maybe a little respect. But in the underworld if you vouch for someone and they phuck-up you may lose your freedom and/or your life. If YOU are a square, and your comment tells me that you are (and there's nothing wrong with that) then you DON'T know anyone who is QUALIFIED to "vouch" for me. For you to convince yourself that you do is delusional on your part. I'm NOT attacking you, I'm just keepin' it 💯.

      "NEVER" huh? 🤦‍♂Okay! So that you're clear; when I said, "country" I meant they were people who were originally from N.C., S.C., VA, W VA, MISSISSIPPI, Alabama, GA, and FLA. This was the 70s, BEFORE your time. Your generation doesn't seem capable of accepting there was a whole world before you were thought of and it was VERY different from the world YOU grew up in. So when I was a kid going to Trenton, (my mother's older sister lived on Jackson Street) the majority of the families there were first generation out of the deep-south. They were COUNTRY people FROM the country. But IF you're from there then you SHOULD already know that.🤷‍♂

      @MrGameChangers 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @owe6260 Just a quick Google search can give you all the information. The show was based on real drug dealers from Baltimore MD, not New York. For example. Nathan "Bodie" Barksdale (1961 - February 13, 2016) was a Baltimore, Maryland, stick up kid dramatized in the HBO series The Wire, although the extent to which any of the show's characters or plot lines are based on his life is disputed. Omar is based on Shorty Boyd, Donnie Andrews, Ferdinand Harvin, Billy Outlaw, and Anthony Hollie, Baltimore stickup men who robbed drug dealers in the 1980s through early 2000s. Donnie Andrews later reformed, got married and helped troubled youths. This information is out there if you research it.

      Crack really was kinda Black Death for too many already struggling hoods. When you think how free base already was really bad choice for most users turned addicts. No blame game from here, but shouldn't so a lethal 'upgrade' better 'downgrade' bread to be made into business among the white communities in order to create better opportuneties for the hood when Reagan already created the big scam that privatisation of the industrial prison complex and the need to feed for his dudes to cash out long and prosper. So while wife called for war on drugs, Ronnie, while cutting on education funds for lower class and mostly minority areas only to have them flooded with weed, the now cheap but deadly Coke high and some in between he well created steady recource of earning with the money each criminal made them shareholdeers that own the Complex. Just to try and get even the natural thing to do would be to flood the low level blue collar white areas instead, wouldn't it? I mean I see that for many dudes the thinking in bigger pictures is key default with already too much wisdom of smart old ones been missin' doing time and that. But looking at the Maga morons and the mental state meth already put em in only now for Fent opiods spread even faster, yeah, it kinda is like watching Karma finally showing up, but it must also pass a feel of having missed out big, on top of causing severe misery at home.
      Don't get no wrong Intention. I have no racist agenda in mind with this broader picture, as the concept of race was a scam by British East India Company to calm Christian conceous by dihumanising the 'less developed' 'Savages' to make the new products of the new world cheap enough to become a money maker. The triangular slave trade. And enough money to grease the churches rulers and the royals of course.
      No I was just trying for a radical attempt on fight back that mean scheme your communietes have veen plagued and heavy burdened with. I'd view such a tactic as Underdog guerilla tactics to protect, to even the score as good as dis-advantage and exploitation of the sophisticated well in plain sight kind would concede.
      No patronising nor smart Finger weaving meant eather, just an approach to put long term experience into theory of resistance strategies and that is best to be discussed by the warriors, the old & wie and the young and strong.

      You obviously JUST got here so I'm gonna keep it real simple for ya simpleazz. Going into the 90s, BEFORE rappers got comfortable enough to start talking about the streets, MOST people in the hood didn't ACTUALLY think that they KNEW SHI+ about the streets FOR REAL and they didn't really care either. When I say that I mean beyond what people in the hood THOUGHT they were looking at from their windows or their front steps, or as they went to work, school and church, they didn't ACTUALLY KNOW SHI+ about what was REALLY happening in the streets. And it didn't matter to the kids because rappers hadn't begun to make it "cool" to know about such shi+.
      In the 60s, 70, and 80s the underworld was relatively small, ESPECIALLY the Heroin underworld. There were 4 or 5 people, ALL operating out of New York City, that facilitated EVERYBODY who was getting a package EVERYWHERE. Those 4 or 5 people were the roots, and WE were the branches. Inevitably ALL of the strongest branches crossed or intersected with one another. I was BORN into the height of that intersectionality (look it up) and I lived in it for the first 30-years of my life. So YES, "genius", there were no more than 6-degrees between me, my predecessors and my peers. Now you DO know something. #yourewelcome #lastlaugher #themindplug
