The Legacy Of An American Drug Dynasty: Third Generation Kingpin Reveals Secrets Of His Dope Empire

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 11 ก.ค. 2024
- Cavario Hodges was raised in Harlem, New York in the 1970's. His entire family was involved in the illicit drug trade in New York City for generations. He grew up around the notorious so-called "Black Godathers" of Harlem-- Drug Lords Nicky Barnes and Frank Lucas. His own mother was a high-ranking street boss in one of these multi-million dollar drug operations. Naturally, being surrounded by such activity led him down a similar path. He started working for his family while he was still in middle-school, and then as a teenager with the onslaught of the crack epidemic, he ran his own profitable crews in Harlem and the South Bronx. He eventually made his fortune running a large-scale dope distribution ring in Baltimore, Maryland. His activities there were the foundation for the popular show The Wire. Seeing his future ending with either prison or death, he was saved by a spiritual awakening and left the criminal life for good. He tells us all about his road from kingpin to finding a higher and healthier purpose in life. Cavario also gives incredible insight and history of the drug trade in the Eastern United States. He is now an accomplished author and journalist and even conducts interviews for platforms like VladTV.

Nobody shares the story of his life better than Cavario. This is an absolute epic. Enjoy the interview and let's light this comment section up!
He was never a "third generation kingpin" wtf does that even mean. At best he was a hand to hand local dealer..smh
@cavarioonline2618 And that's something you're proud of? Smh...Says alot about you sir.
This was incredible story
@cavarioonline2618
Don't listen to him big brother.
He wasn't raised by wolves like us.👑💪
Podcast was so good made me wanna do dope, Lol
Bro looks young as hell for being almost 60yo
Thank you. I attribute my condition to 3 major decisions: At 23 I became vegan. At 28 I became monogamist. At 30 I retired from the drug game.

Cavario paints better with his words than Rembrandt with his brush.
Johnny was engaged and kept the flow perfect but this needed to be 80/20 Cavario.
This is the best interview I have ever seen in my life. I have seen a lot.
Bingo 🎯
This is the best guest you have ever had. He describes the mindset that creates the old school ideals which create the people in the game who never see handcuffs. Amazing
Frank Lucas was a scumbag who ripped his own son’s social security checks from him in Franks later years. Frank was never the kingpin he claimed he was. Frank Mathew’s was the real KINGPIN who never got caught and has been a fugitive since the 1970’s. If he’s even alive. Don’t get me wrong Lucas was making money but not like what was portrayed in American Gangster. Leslie”Ike” Atkinson also know as “Sergeant Smack” was the real guy who was getting the heroin straight from the Golden Triangle not Lucas. I forget how Lucas and Atkinson were related,I think that one of Franks cousins or brothers married one of Ike’s sisters or something like that. Don’t quote me on that but it was something similar to that. American Gangster made Frank look amazing like Goodfellas made Henry Hill look way more important than he actually was. Not many people have ever heard of Frank Mathew’s. A movie should be made about him not Lucas. Mathew’s had dope operations in about 10 states. Maybe more. Lucas was selling dope in Harlem and Jersey and he was competing against a bunch of other dealers which were a dime a dozen back in the early 70’s. American Gangster was a great movie and Denzel killed it as usual but there was very little truth about in it. There is a great documentary called Superfly that you can watch on TH-cam. It’s a amazing documentary and in the documentary there are interviews with the District Attorney and others who actually took Frank to trial and they tell you who Franks was,a piece of shit, And all the lies he told.
When Freeway Rick Ross met Lucas Rick said that he didn’t like him at all lol. I don’t blame Rick because Lucas was really a piece of shit.
Everything you said is true
And you would know right?
My favorite rapper prodigy said frank was a snitch, and asked why jay z was glorifying snitching by doing the soundtrack. Rest in peace Prodigy.
@@EthanPatrick1989 he didn’t just snitch on police either like the movie would claim. He snitched on a distant relative of mine
Did you read that somewhere ?
Only 1/2 way through, but easily one of the most engrossing interviews I have ever had the pleasure to view, cheers man.🍺
This man is the type of person who has a voice the one percent doesn't want heard. A young black man who knows the tricks of the world but can also articulate sentences could lead a new free world.
I am humbled by such great praise. Thank you.
selling drugs is nothing to write back home to your mother too...well, at least, decent moms.

You're setting the bar pretty low for a new world leader.

This is going to be one of the best shows you have next to the other Harlem legend the show has as a friend. This guy is always putting out the realest content and the aren’t people out there contesting it even down in Baltimore. Can’t wait for this one
Huh
You sound kinda demented sorry
What a gem I loved every word ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👽

being able to talk for 4 hours and keep people entertained is a talent. interviews for vlad is not his skill. documentaries and films should be his next move
Also making those 4 hours so engaging that it flies by and you want to hear more

Enjoyed how articulate and intelligent this man was - you don’t see that much anymore sadly - from anyone - and will def be buying the book.
I appreciate your interest and welcome support.
He ain't lying about keeping the coke away from liquids and all. Its ridiculously good at dissolving into a water. You can dissolve a half of blow in just 10ml of water

Definitely the best interview/ conversation hands down❗💯
I’m not very far into this interview yet and it’s one of my favorite already. This is going to be one of the best videos yet.
Thanks tremendously.
This is the best interview so far, articulate, descriptive and very intellectually explained. Puts a whole different light on the drug business run by professionals. Imagine what that family could achieve in the corporate industry
Best interview on your channel so far in my opinion.

Thank you. Truly.
Yoo Mitch this interview is your best 1 I've seen yet.Growing up in Chicago wit my uncles around the game this Brother reminds me of them so much with the knowledge he's droppin.Much respect wish I could meet him.

Cavario has such a prodigious vocabulary, and is so well spoken…he’s very charismatic too. Great interview.

Great interview. lol his voice sounds like the interview with the black engineer with glasses in the 70s-80s that was spending 100s on crack everyday.

Your best interview! This dude is great wherever I watch him.
Thank you!
one of if not the best interview you have done. Your getting better at asking questions and this guy was great at elaborating in a way that we lived it ourselves to some degree!
Truly an epic. And you keep bangin' em' out Johnny Mitchell!!! I Love this evolution of podcasting you have found. Its fun, hilarious, serious, and introspective and most of all it always focuses on the dark criminal underworld completely out of your own pure interest (and many of ours I might add). The David Packouz was by far one of the best ones you have done in my opinion because of the range and reach you now have with this show....but we all know who you should interview next...
This the best interview you had so far!
This is probably the best all around episode! Incredible story teller
Interview so good I watch it twice
WOW! 😁 Thank you!
You done a really good job interviewing jonny really bounced off each other well done
Thanks! Johnny definitely did his homework on me. It's the best interview ever conducted on me because he's the first interviewer to have read the entirety of my autobiography, Raised By Wolves.
Great interview! Very surprised, and held me captivated the entire time. Awsome job to the both of yous
Great guest and interview
I have a new found respect for Cavario…When he remembers his Great Great Grandmothers name in mid conversation and interjects it, it reminds me of myself…Once I have a memory or name I can’t remember in conversation, my mind won’t allow me to not remember it (if you understand me lol) We can change the subject 5 times… and in mid conversation, as soon as I remember, I’d say it in conversation just to wrap up that thought and continue with the conversation…
That is called being horrible at a conversation with a horrible memory. lol
@@cryptic8043 it’s truly not… It’s multi tasking actually! Keeping up with a conversation while searching for information is a gift… Not many can do so… it’s actually having great memory, but I don’t expect a lame brain internet goofy to understand 😂😂😂 I can guarantee you’re a weirdo! Dont let me cook you up here because I’ll make you wish your mother swallowed you 😎
Cavario never disappoints! Thank you for sharing bro.
awesome storytelling
This guy is fascinating. I've never heard the breakdown of why people talk like that in baltimore. I'm sure he meant to say Scottish, but you think of that accent blending in with some southern/northeast influence and you have baldimore
Peace, thank you for taking out the time to watch and comment.
Baltimore has extensive Irish roots. In the 1600s, Maryland was a safe haven for Irish Catholics fleeing persecution. By 1870 more than 15,000 native born Irish resided in Baltimore. in fact, the name "Baltimore" is an Anglicization of the Irish Baile an Tí Mhóir, which means "town of the big house."
@@Cavario_the_mind_plugwhat books are you reading to het this information? I would love to know..
