    I have the FCA AMPS headset. It comes with the helmet mount setup also. I have only used them with the headband so far, but they seem to work great. I use the FCS V20 PTT and the Kenwood radio adaptor. I use them for digital coms. Everything has been working for about 6 months with a lot of use. I want to get a TW bump and the Unity Tactical Platform adaptors and see how they work. I know I have gone cheap with some things, but I have been lucky as they work well.
    EDIT: This video is great. I learned a lot from both the video,, and the comment section as to the little problems that people have. VERY informative. Thank you all so much.

    Do you have any wiggle/slop/play between the ops core arms and the TW rail using the UT adapter plates? My setup is the same as yours to a TW 3.0 rail and with the screw bottomed out, tight, there's enough wiggle there to allow the adapters to slide in the TW rail. Emailed UT about this, they asked for photos, I sent a video, no response since 5/20/22.

    • @SS-po1fd
      @SS-po1fd 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When the arms are popped out I can move the adapter plates from the top to the bottom of the slot with slight pressure. Which happens naturally rotating the arms from ear to stowed positions.

    • @thepaparomeo
      @thepaparomeo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man,
      So on their website it says it’s supposed to fit rails 1.0-3.0. The only thing I can think of is that, I had something similar happen, but all I had to do was take the adaptors out and then put them back in and tighten them down. I know that’s not the best answer, but if they’re not engaging, there is a chance that they are not seated properly. If you find a solution post it back down in the comments, because I’m sure someone else will experience the same thing!

    • @beckhamfreak
      @beckhamfreak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SS-po1fd Did you get any answer from Unity Tactical on this? I've got the same rail/adapter/arms and also have some wiggle. Not a ton and I could probably live with it but I worry it could become worse as time goes on. I heard some other folks say the same thing happened with the Team Wendy adapter which is why I picked the Unity option.

    Hi I was wondering how well the earpro fits with those wendys straps going over your ears? Or do those straps push up above/over the earcups? No one seems to talk about this but it looks really uncomfortable and also bad for noise cancelation.

    • @thepaparomeo
      @thepaparomeo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a great question. So it may differ for other people, but I have not noticed any issues. I’ve jumped out of planes with these on and no shifting or seal breakage. The only time I notice any issues is when I don’t have a proper cheekweld and they bump the earcups. Other than that the straps aren’t even noticeable in my opinion. Hope this helps!

    Went to Gentex Corporation to order my set up and came across some options i wasn't to sure of. What did you run on your set up out of the following and/or what would you recommend? Mono Binaural Downlead, Monaural Downlead, or Stereo Downlead. And also in 21" or 27"?

    • @thepaparomeo
      @thepaparomeo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey my man, i'll tell you what was issued to me. But, I'm not smart enough to know the difference on some of this gear. So I got the Mono Binaural U174 Downlead Cable. With a 21" length. I also have the PTT radio adapter cable #4kk81. If I can answer any more questions, just let me know!

    • @Anon62796
      @Anon62796 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      21” is standard and just the right amount of cable IMO if you’re running a radio on your plate carrier.
      I would not recommend the monaural cable as it only sends audio to the earcup it’s plugged into. This is more specialized towards guys running two radios and two separate PTTs.
      The stereo cable is used in conjunction with a stereo PTT (expensive) and not typically with your Civ side PTTs like Disco32 or CGS ptts. It allows the use of two radios plugged into a single stereo PTT and routes comms into each earcup separate from one another.
      Mono binaural is the version I currently use and it feeds sound into both earcups wether you’re using one radio, two radios and one dual ptt, or two radios and two separate ptts.
      It’s user preference. IMO most of us buying these cables for small unit comms should opt towards the mono binaural bc i want sound in both my ears.
      Hope that’s helps anyone else trying to decide on the correct opscore downlead cable.
