- Hi, welcome back to the channel. Today in this video we are going to replace #HP #PAVILIONX360 CONVERTABLE TOUCH SCREEN #DIGITIZERreplacement.
This is only if your x360 LCD is working but top touch panel if cracked.
let me tell you the good side and the bad side of this repair.
good side: cheap and low cost for the part expense.
bad side: Very odd and hassle repair.

Model 14-ba101nx, I can't separate the screen from the plastic, it is all glued strongly.
Is there anyway ?
I changed mine, but the touch only clicks and doesn't drag.
When I open the screen near the bottom where the metal tape that sticks to the display is located, it works perfectly, what could it be?

I have replaced the digitizer + bezel. I want to know after fixing the LCD panel to bezel using screws, which tape (the black one which was used in original) has to be used to seal the LCD along four sides? Please do reply.
Glad it helped! I did use just double sided tape and the bezel comes with some kinds of plastic anchor/Hooks so if you press or crunch the LCD panel and bezel both together it should be clicked and stay together. Double-sided tape just to keep extra support!! Hope You would subscribe to my channel! Thanks
@@thepcphone @thepcphone Thanks for prompt response. I have used the double sided tape to fix the LCD panel with Bezel but I noticed there is small particles of dust. So I want to seal it. Since at the time of installation, there was black tape already available which was required to tear off ( please refer the video at 5.57 min) and then screen was detached from bezel.
So if the know that tape, please let me know.
If the original adhesive are not damaged, then it is always best to leave the original adhesive as it is. The original adhesive even stronger ! Now if the original adhesive are damaged due to disassembling the bezel then remove the messed adhesive first completely and reapply the double-sided tape.

Great video. A little question, I have exactly the same break on my HP. Same model and everything. I literally NEVER use the touchscreen. Would it work just fine if I only disconnected the digitizer rather than replacing the screen? Thank you

You can go into your windows settings and disable the touchscreen driver/feature. That will give you the same effect you desire without messing with any hardware.

Hello . .I have HP Pavilion x360 dh1178tu laptop . . I have the same need but local technician says that digitizer may be bonded to LCD if then may be not possible . . Can you confirm that digitizer cannot be seperated

I dropped my HP Pavilion x360 13-u003la.. touch on the display seems is OK, looks good there is NOT broken glass, but I am not able to see anything on the screen, I can see all connecting an external monitor. do you know if I can change only the display? or the touch come pasted to the display? thanks for your help in advance.

Hi, on a slightly different x360 model (BQ101NA) I replaced the screen, with lcd + digitiser all built in. Everything works except a 3 inch strip about half way up, have I bought a faulty LCD + digitiser assembly ?
Did you apply too much heat ? if you did then it crups the plastic prong and thats why it does not attach correctly.
@@thepcphone I didn't apply any heat, as bought the screen and digitiser as a single unit. The people I bought it sent another one, which doesn't have the issue but the new one can't calibrate fully. Presses near the bottom register as further up, annoying !
Is the digitizer compatible with HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-dh0001dx and possibly other 14m models.
To be honest HP always unfair with the replacement part. They always try to make things more complicated for independent repair. I would say give it a double check before you replacing. yes it is same almost. But do some extra care when you apply the head as because the extra head could damage the shape of the hook or bezel.
