    Mark is an absolute beast but everyone sleeps on Willie Adler's technique and writing skills. The man is a legendary riff lord.

      i remember reading an interview about him over a decade ago about how he comes up with riffs and he said how he'll start with a "full riff" and then find what notes to remove specifically in weird areas to create unique sounds and thought it was cool

      Agreed. His riffs are usually how do you say....umm...less traditional? more wild? untamed? less predictable? Idk some shit like that. Example - Hourglass, pretty sure he wrote that whole song. Love Willies chops.

      Yeah. I think Mark gets all the credit because he is more vocal, but I really feel like Willie wrote more of the band’s best riffs. But with how good each of them are, it’s really hard to tell who is playing what. They kinda go back and forth.

    The sound engineering, producing and recording of LoG is far beyond everything in this genre nowadays. By now LoG detaches bands like Slipknot on that score. Fucking love this band. So underrated...

      I don't think they're underrated as much as they just don't get nearly the love they deserve. These guys are addicting to see live, I just want MORE every time I see them 😄🤘🏻 They bring it every time, we just saw them in September and it was brutally good fun.
      Ditch has the down & dirty riffs and rhythms i just adore in metal😁👍

      I've been at 2 of their shows, once in the crowd and once as security. Some of the craziest shows I've ever seen; the circle pits, crowd surfing and sheer crazy energy of the crowd is something else!

      First time I ever heard of them was live. It was when they just starting to get big. They were opening for slipknot that night and even had that “oh shit I’m playing in front of a bunch of people” look on their faces lol. Fucking amazing show man. Everyone knocked it out of the park.

      LTL was the best I've heard them live in years. Art has definitely brought life back into them live. Their stage show was fucking FANTSTIC too. Loved their backstage and light show.

    LOG has always been heavy as F, just another example here. What I have always loved about this band is that you KNOW what you are going to get with each album...its like ordering your favorite main course, and then telling the waiter to throw in a few surprises with your meal....yeah, that.

    Yeah, everything is in Dropped D or Dropped C#, with a few songs like 512 in Dropped C. IDK how they sound so brutal being tuned so high compared to other bands in the genre.
    Dope as all fuckerdom tho and I'm stoked to see them in concert for the third time tomorrow.

      Most of this album is drop C, one song is drop D and I think Grayscale is drop B.

    One of my favorite things about Lamb of God is how they're still so fuckin heavy while staying in the drop D- drop C# range. Don't get me wrong I love low tunings, but that shits impressive

      I definitely would not say they sound exactly the same. They've experimented with lots of different tunings since Ashes Of The Wake, introduced clean vocals and they've definitely commercialised/streamlined their sound a little bit more. Not a bad thing though, it's awesome to see them still killing it.

    i was a lighting tech on their omens tour, and about halfway through the run they started practicing Greyscale off the new record, and eventually swapped it for one of the songs later in the set. To my knowledge, the Omens album is the bands introduction to Drop B Tuning

    Saw Log in September at a brand-new venue @ Fenway in Boston. They opened with Memento Mori. That is such a perfect opening track, I honestly can't think of them opening with anything else now. They CRUSHED the set.

    This album splits between drop C (fairly new as they didn't start using this until their self-titled album in 2020), drop D (traditional) and then drop B for Greyscale (which they hadn't used since the Resolution album for Straight Into the Sun).

    They are amazing live! LoG was the first band that got me into metal and they are still my top favorite. They have managed to experiment a bit with their music without taking much away from their original sound imo.

    Lamb of God picked up the torch for heavy metal after Pantera had it stolen from them. They are America's premier pure metal band. Randy's vocals are everything you could ever want from a heavy metal singer. The highest of the highs, the lowest of the lows, the growls, the screams, everything. There's a reason they've been going for more than 20 years! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

    Potatoes in the pit! Also shoutout to Willie as he writes a lot of the riffs too. On their DVD Killidelphia I believe, Mark was interviewing and explained that when Willie writes a riff, it's usually hard to play even for Mark.

    Lamb of God is from about 35 minutes from my home town. Morton's mom worked at a bank that I cashed my checks at. One of my friends was in their music video for Set to Fail. One of my other friends was at a party they were at and apparently Randy Blythe was so fucked up, he kept making fun of some girl Joey Jordison was with. I guess she was a female wrestler or something so she body slammed him through a coffee table. Their shows are fucking wild.

    I remember being in the crowd at Hellfest years ago, at the end of a song I sreamed "CONTRACTOOOR" (hoping for it), seconds after I hear the "WEEEEEE" and then "FJZPFBZMCBZLCKZLCBSL".

    I feel like this is the biggest change in their sound since they changed the name to Lamb of God...and I love it
    Also I think this sounds lower than drop D, Nik. Sounds like drop C.

    the video and lyrics are about whats gonna happen to the world in the next few months and next year. shit is gonna hit the fan, the winter is gonna be a really fucking hard one. if u look at all the things happening in the world and all the plots of powerful and influental people....
    video shows people fighting over food, things needed to live.... and the few 1% above just watching it happen and enjoying the show, pulling the strings

    I got into LoG back with the release of Palaces, and they played a very large part in my evolution as a person and love for metal, but I can't say that they do anything for me anymore. At least not like they used to. I attempted to listen to this album on the way to work this morning and it just sounded like everything I have already heard before. I will always love the older albums but my days of loving them will never be the same. I will come back to the album at some point to give it another go though as I always do.
    EDIT: Came back to this album after watching the documentary and I have changed my opinion on it. Definitely way better after just taking some time listening to it and seeing all the backend of recording.

      That's where I'm at too. It's not bad, it's just boring. I LOVED resolution and wrath but the last two albums have been meh for me. The riffs are heavy but they don't sound like they're trying to push themselves to write anything incredible. They seem to be happy writing average songs with the message they want to put out there.

    Lamb of God is the one band who can put nearly the same album every time and still have it heavy as fuck and totally addicting. I dont want them to change at this point so long as they keep cranking out the heavy ass tunes i know and love them for. LoG forever \m/

    I've seen Lamb of God 5 times in concert. Everytime I do I have to take a few days off of work cause my neck and body is so damn sore from headbanging so hard and being in these giant ass circle pits.
