Been subscribed for a long time & have always thought you two deserved way more subscribers than you’ve had. Wondering if you’re finding that the change to sailing had changed your subscriber growth? Hope so. You two are great.
Is Kelsey the cutest girl on TH-cam? These two are so likable. Love the format of the video’s……Personalities make such a difference to individual channels….I have same scooter and love mine
Love your channel and your boat!!! Please get some light weight foam bicycle helmets…hope you never find out you were glad to be wearing one like I was!
If you do grab helmets, look for the ones with a rear facing red light, the rear light on the scooter isn’t the best and is too low for cars to see, I have the same scooter, it’s great to commute to work on. Enjoy!
Maybe if you were to sail to New Zealand than you could get a free OC Tender as a sponsorship deal. The only thing about getting an electric scooter for transpo is the battery spontaneously combusting but other than that, they are the best way to travel besides a bicycle. I've heard that lithium batteries shouldn't go below 30% charge due to the cycles. You only have so many cycles before the battery is dead. It would be nice to get a scooter like yours that goes longer distances. 20 miles is good but would be nice to go 40.
Yeah, they do actually make some scooters that have more range. We just decided the weight wasn't worth the extra mileage for us. Pretty nice to have some transportation.
@@SaltySunriseSailing I think that the electric scooter is probably the best type of transportation that you can have on your boat but the fire risk is a real concern. I've never heard of boat batteries burning but have heard of some electric bicycles burning especially in hot weather areas. That would be my only concern and something to look up before purchasing one.
@@robertlaird6746 for sure. Well never charge them without us monitoring them. This is the long ranger scooter. We were tempted to go for it, but just a little weight penalty. amzn.to/3ZFMEhZ
I can see that! Mastering holding grocery bags in each hand while riding would be another fun challenge to take on, but only if One Wheel want to give us some boards. Haha
16 miles, but we're learning that leaving it in Sport mode at full throttle makes a big difference in range. Today we did 12 miles in "normal" mode and had 65% left which is more in line with the full range.
Most fires to Li batteries happen while charging so we never leave them plugged in past full or charge them when we're not able to keep an eye on them.
Good sailings guys. But just to be blunt: you have quite your daytime jobs six years ago, the views on the YTchannel are not that high, and now you can afford a Seawind 1260 of approx. $ 500.000,- ? How is that even possible? And at your age? Puzzled here to be honest.
@@hv7978 haha! Your correct on one thing TH-cam doesn't make us much, but we love sharing. Lots of hard work saving, and your numbers are off. We did not pay that much (sweat equity!)
I had no idea that living on a boat could be so much fun and so much work. You kids are the best 👍👍
It's a great kind of exhausting! 🤣
Scooting along. 😂. You two are a delight to watch. You two remind me of The Wynns. You have such a real fun vibe. Cheers!
Thank you! We're really enjoying this chapter!
Now you just need to rig a cart you can tow behind the scooters for those BIG supply runs! 😄
How else can we carry a case of beer! Priorities!
They're so helpful to get around on and heard that ring ring at the end, special.
It makes exploring new places so easy!
Onewheel are a great option for cruisers that like boardsports.
I tried to justify one because they're fun, but we could get three scooters to one Onewheel so I couldn't do it. They are great though!
@@SaltySunriseSailing market place you can find a used onewheel pint for a decent price. Float on my salty sailors-O-
I would love to spend a weekend on the boat.
Love the scooters!

It has increased some for sure. We've been enjoying all the new challenges so much!

Another great episode! Sweet toys! Apropos tune! 🤘
Cheers Capt!
Very smart move.
Think I said when you had the skateboard that you needed a onewheel - think these look more useful for you. Good stuff.
I've enjoyed riding a onewheel, but at twice the cost I think this is more practical for errands. They're pretty fun too!
Sooooooo Close to 30K.....Let's GO!!!!
Now you just need phone mounts for the handle bars. Safe travels..
Good call! That was the first thing we realized. Our motorcycle ones are far away in a storage unit so we'll grab a cheapo.
❤
Great Video, you guys look like having a blast on the new scooters. How did you do with the Hurricane passing by...? Fairwinds to you both.....
We were lucky. Strong winds and a lot of anchor chain out for a couple days. We're very glad we went North.

While I am a diehard Onewheel advocate and rider...scooters are admittedly easier safer to ride back after a night at the bars!

Helmets plz 👍🏼
So how far did you on the charge?

Kelsey is riding goofy foot. Are you a southpaw?
Yeah, I'm goofy footed! Haha
Are you worried about the fire risk of having a scooter on board as they are a major source of fires?
Most fires to Li batteries happen while charging so we never leave them plugged in past full or charge them when we're not able to keep an eye on them.
Okay one of you are goofy foot and since I have not done scooters since forever I don't know which one.
Kelsey is the Goofball. She wakeboards goofy too. 🤣🤙
