- We get our last piece of mail and some bad weather with it! We drag anchor for the first time but we make the best of the bad weather and have an adventurous sail north, up the Chesapeake. We are beyond excited to be free and cruising again!

Enjoy your video. Do either of you ever get seasick. Thanks for sharing
So glad you enjoyed it! Yes, I (Kelsey) am prone to seasickness so I am learning the best ways to deal with it. I think I'll do a video about it actually because I know it's a big hindrance for many wanting to sail. (It was for me).
Goodness that weather looked challenging! So interesting to watch - and loved the music too!
Thank you! Artlist has great music to choose from. (We were listening to classical music during this sail and it just fit haha)
Those Seawinds can take it! Love your videos and adventures.
Yes they can! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing… stay safe! Looking 👀 forward to your next video…
I am so glad to have come onto this channel. I have really enjoyed watching your adventures lately.
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoy!
Good video, thank you
Glad you liked it!
Great video. So much positivity even it’s bad weather! Love it. Take care and good luck 🍀👍
Thank you!
Exciting and upbeat channel.......... glad to be aboard.
Thank you!
I love storms, prolly not on a sailboat. lol...
Thanks for the video. Our anchor dragged in that same anchorage. We also snagged a cable on our first visit.
Yikes! Yeah, I think there are two cables that run through there...glad we didn't catch one!
Great video guys!
Thanks so much!
❤
Good piano music .
With everything going on in Florida i hope you are doing ok and SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are very thankful to have headed north this season. Thinking of everyone being hit by the storms.
Excellent video.
Thank you!
I wondered how the remnants of the hurricane would affect you. Looked a little spicy, glad you stayed safe!
Great video. Loved your choice of background music.
Thank you, we were listening to some classical while we were sailing and it just fit the mood haha.
Awsome
Yeah ! Movie, Red Wine, and Homemade Popcorn! Happy Sailing ⛵
Haha that is exactly what we did! (Homemade popcorn is the best!)
Good videos 👍. Where are you 🤷🏻♀️. Stay safe/have fun. 🤩
We are currently up north in New York.
Sorry you missed the Piankatank.
So my much to see!
I’d have loved to see them in Hills Bay!
Hi guys nice to see u back again sailing despite of that bad weather but ur videos were getting better and better, cameras are clearer now i can even see how deep and beautiful Kelsey's dimple and her attractive pointed nose, so far she's one of the loveliest smile sailor and a blooger I've had been watched, ur boat are cute and looks like it's tough against crazy weather, and pls don't stop covering so we could have another day of ur adventures, pls stay safe and healthy 💪 🙏
Thank you! So glad you are enjoying!
LOLOLOL next time you must take your dive goggles with you...lolol Ive seen other sailors doing it!!!!
Haha totally!
When you live on a boat, Uber is your best friend.
15:33 I start to get a Charlie Chaplin vibe due to the music, 15:55 it full-on😂😂
Haha love it!
Are you still up north? Since I'm not sure how far in the past your videos are, i wanted to confirm you're out of the hurricane(s) path. I checked fb, but it looks like you only post the yt videos, not current updates. It would be nice to know what your travel plans are for the next 6-12 months. Anyway, I hope you're far away from the southern east coast.
We are up north, the most up to date updates are either over on Patreon or our Instagram stories. We are safe from the storms so far! Thanks for watching!
👊
1st You need a minimum of a 5 to 1 scope when your setting your anchor. You also need to set it by backing down on it. You should have a larger size than what your boat is rated for. Sailing Life on Jupiter has I believe a Rocna 35. That size might be a good one for your boat but check to see for sure. It would be a good idea to make marks on your anchor chain every 10 ft. If your in 10 ft. of water, you need a minimum of a 50 rode. More is also acceptable depending on your swing and conditions. Hurricane Milton is going to cross Florida. You should get as many miles North as possible to avoid that.
Thanks we have and do all of those things you mentioned (great minds think alike haha) we are well north of all the storms right now. Thinking of everyone down south. Thanks for watching!
Nice attempt at a save when Kelsey was practicing her ramming maneuver Tim. Love the video and getting to watch from the beginning of your sailing adventure. My attempt is slowly taking shape. I’ll get there eventually.
@@roberthandlon1877 Yes, I know. I should have worded what I said completely different. I'm sorry! Now that I've read it again, it sounds way to harsh. I wasn't trying to rip on you at all. I was trying to help you but didn't do a good job at that at all. Anyways, there are a lot of videos about anchoring. Captain Rick More talked about anchoring for a hurricane which was very good!!! I'll be using that method for sure. Most of the cruisers talk about anchor scope and put marks on their anchor rode to let them know how much they have let out based on the depth below the lowest point of their boat. Most of the people say that a minimum of a 5 to 1 scope is good for normal conditions. You would want more in other/ stronger conditions. It's pretty much standard to set your anchor and then back down on it to see if it holds because sometimes your anchor is sitting on something other than sand. If that's the case than it would be best to find another location. I didn't take the time to explain myself so well and should have. Again, I'm sorry about that. I know that you are just getting familiar with sailing and are brand new to all of this. You'll be fine! It's not that hard and you will quickly get a hang of it! I'll try to be better at communicating when I correspond in the future. Hopefully you forgive me! Cheers and following seas.
Haha! Thanks for the nice comment! We didn't think you were ripping on us! Cheers!
