From what I can tell: White Cylinder = Collision Blue Cylinder = Hurtbox Red 2D shape = Attack Hitbox (For regular attacks like sword slashes) Purpleish-Red Cylinder = Attack Hitbox (For "blunt" type hits like Link's roll, enemy collision damage, etc.) Dark Blue Cylinder = Stalfos Shield Purple 2D shape = Shield hitbox I'm sure things like Slingshot/Arrows have a different type of hitbox than like Hookshot, but hard to tell in this video.
4:56 & 5:09 You say "That's huge" and "Broken", but to be fair the attack is pretty clearly shown through the swishing "air slice" effect when you do that, albiet it's a fair bit taller than it feels like it should be. Wouldn't call it huge, just tall, unnecessarily tall. Still great video, never thought to try and play with hitboxes enabled, I'd love to see every damn hitbox there, I love shit like this, and I'm thankful for content like this. the slingshot hitbox has to be long for how fast the projectile travels per frame, otherwise it'd travel through something visually but never interact with it, yeah?
What I don't understand from a programming perspective. The hit detection is likely controlled by position, so each frame a function would algorithmically check if a projectile or hit is in a certain position and then cause reactions accordingly. In the code, there would be no shaped cylinder representing that, only numbers to check if the hit is inside of an area (something like if (projectile.x in |player.x - 1, player.x + 1|) { do stuff here; }). So how is this mod getting the shapes? I would assume whoever made the mod would have to manually plug all of the positional data and create shaped models representing them.

Invincibility. With good timing you can just roll though certain sources of damage without getting hit.

There's three arrays in a global structure that stores pointers to all of the currently active hitboxes.
