I put a t18 dana 20 combo into my 81 cj7. It was out of a 1978 cj5. I sold it years ago but I dont remember any adapter plate between them. Reverse was away from you and forward. I loved that transmission.
That little "stash box" under the hood can be found on the front of nearly every commercial transport trailer pulled by a big commercial semi truck. It is usually where the current registration is kept, out of the weather and protected, usually with one of the big trucking fleets who drop and hook their trailers nationwide so if any driver is stopped by the DOT, it is easily found during an inspection. Because most law officers may know this, I wouldn't recommend stashing anything else there, if you know what I mean! LOL
We have 3 1969 CJ5s. 2 of them run and we go jeeping with them. But we have another that the frame is all rusted and cracked. We don’t know if it can be saved but if it can I’m definitely doing this to it
I'm currently putting a 2015 gen 5 5.3L in a 75 cj5 you can look up the video of the yellow jeep I'm working on where do you get the intake tubing you have on your projects
I dropped a 408 Windsor stroker with Holley EFI, T18 and D20 with 9" currie rear diff and wagoneer 44 up front in my 74 CJ 5. I was going to do the LS swap but decided the 408 stroker I had already built for my now Stolen 71 f100 short box 4x4 pickup would be great. It's entirely too much engine for my jeep. It loves wearing out rear tires and getting me warnings & tickets.
Awesome work guys... I hope to be able to get you guys to work on my 1977 Chevy Van/Pathfinder conv. I seen the other van you guys did work to and it look incredible. Hope to work with you guys real soon
how many RPM are you running at 80mph in 4th gear? I hear guys say all the time they can't get their CJ's over '55mph' or so with higher gears and yet you have 4.56s and no problem.
I need a belly pan and cross member kit for my CJ7 with a T-18 and Dana 20!! When are you going to start making them? Also will need a torquer arm set up.
From my experience swapping my 4.2 straight 6 to an ls it's gonna be at least a couple grand even if you keep things like your transmission. It's all the little things that really tend to add up
I'm only 5'6 I'd fit perfectly in there! Sweet LS CJ 5 , great work 👍
Right on!
You guys do great work! Wish I lived closer, my Tacoma S.A.Swap would be at your shop!
The 6.0 is my favorite gm engine

What else is there to say? Fn awesome!!!

Do you know what brand of tire carrier is on the CJ5? I am trying to find that exact same bumper/tire carrier set up. Thanks guys! Great video!1
รถยนต์ แต่งได้ สวยงามมากเลย ครับ
Where are you guys located ? I need to dial my CJ7 in engine and drive train !
How did you adapt the LS to the T18??
ADVANCE ADAPTERS LS CLUTCH KIT HAS THIS OPTION.
So the "drug stash" compartment is for semi trailers for the registration and inspection paperwork

Beautiful! One question though Did it pass California smog?
If it's a 1975 or older, it's smog exempt
