  • Check out Jake’s 6.0 LS powered, 1 ton CJ-8 Scrambler. The Jeep sits spring over on 2.5” BDS wrangler springs, with Bilstein shocks, Hutchinson double beadlocks and 37” BFG KM3 tires. It has a 65” wide narrowed Chevy kingpin Dana 60 in the front and a narrowed 2005 factory disc brake 14 bolt in the rear. Both axles are running 5.13 gears and ARB lockers. The 2006 6.0 LS engine has a Texas speed cam and is coupled to a Tremec 5 speed and a Dana 300 with an HD rear output. From the custom roll cage and factory interior to the Warn 8274 winch, you won’t find a more classically built resto-mod scrambler out there!

    Gorgeous jeep. My buddy built an 81 with a 400 sdc. Thing was wicked fast!!! You hardly see scramblers anymore, most rotted out. I'd like to have one someday

    Awesome build, dream jeep here.
    Also just fyi, you can change the settings in the tune for LS engines and run a regular 8cyl tach. The table is called tach resolution in Hp tuners, stock the value is 6. Change that 3 and you have normal v8 tach signal

    Would actually like to see someone that would do something other than an LS swap.
    Yes I know at LS is very inexpensive.
    But come on guys other engines would be much more interesting.

      If I had the money and didn’t live here in Long ( AKA Hell ) Island you guys would be the only one doing my S.A.S. On my 03 Tacoma, I’ve been turned down by a bunch of shops here and put on hold by a few, not rich so can’t just keep throwing money at it at some shop that’s never done a solid axle swap before and don’t feel comfortable doing that anyhow, not to many Truck people here and after it’s eventually done, I’ll probably be the only solid axle taco on the Island, everyone is about fancy cars and bling here but I just want to drive my old beater taco, got all the parts, now just Waiting and Waiting for someone to put 50-100,000 dollar JL builds on the side so I can get in , so far I’ve been waiting around 3 months, this place sucks! I need to move to America one day and get off these freakin Islands of NY , if it wasn’t for family, I’d be out! Awesome videos, keep them coming! At least I can see someone else’s rig come out right lol

    what roll bar is that added to the factory bar?
    can the windshield still be dropped with that setup?
    if so do you guys sell it and how much would it be

    • @dundeeecroc
      @dundeeecroc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is factory. My friend had a CJ8 in HS, great jeep back in the day 1983.

    • @BradCross1982
      @BradCross1982 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dundeeecrocThat rollbar is not factory, he literally said it was custom dom tubing. If you watch the video it had an original hardtop on it, the scramblers had the back roll bar from the factory but never anything inside the cab going to the windshield, as far as I know no CJ ever had anything going to the windshield from the factory, that didn’t start until the YJ was built

    • @BradCross1982
      @BradCross1982 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dundeeecroc Good times. My first vehicle at 16 was a 77 CJ7 I bought with my own money, 360, T18 4speed and a spring over lift… you don’t see many kids driving those to school anymore 😂
