I'm worried about cross contamination since I added some plants from the infected tank to the new tank before I knew of the worms. Since there's no fish in the tank, just some snails, is it possible that if I wait a month whilst doing the setup process I won't have to fear the worms? I've heard that due to their life cycle process they won't have the chance to mature to the point they can reproduce. Is that correct or should I just do a full reset? (also drinking a carbonated water rn since you asked lol!)
I would start over!
No snack?
@@MichaelsFishRoom Hey Mike, got what I needed to start the treatments. Didn't have a snack then because I had just eaten dinner!
Great tips, thanks Micheal
Any time!
Hey Michael are these meds safe for fry as well? I have a mom guppy who was infected and then gave birth and am afraid I need to treat whole tank including fry now?
I've never had an issue treating a tank with fry.
Great video! So do you recommend the quad flake or the Fenbendazol? As I like to keep stuff on hand just in case, and I already do have the fendbendazol from everything Aquatic
then you should be OK. I have both though.
I may have missed this in the comments or video, but how much PROHIBIT powder should be added to water?
Don't know sorry.
I dunno if my fish are good now- my guppy is looking a bit thin lately- I don’t see red worms in the tank though-
Good luck
What does Molly and guppies normal poop looks like? I'm a beginner 😭
It’s usually brownish.
@@MichaelsFishRoom thank you. Sometimes they have stringy ones but it's brownish.
What kind of guppy is this...I have a nice male just like it
These are Black Moscows.
Hey! Loved the vid, where I am I can’t access any fish products that have the fenbendazole. I see you said goat dewormer, I just ordered on Amazon. just was wondering if you could possibly explain the dosage amount, not sure how much to put, don’t wanna put the wrong amount. Thanku!
Sorry, I don't know.
I want to try the Fenbendazole that’s listed in the comments but what is the dosage per gallon? I’ve been trying everything to get rid of these worms but nothing is shaking them. I can’t find anywhere online about dosages. Thanks!
Have you tried Fenbendazole flakes?
@@MichaelsFishRoom I just ordered some from everything aquatics. I didn’t realize they had it😑 I have levamisole and quad flakes ordered too. I’ve just been ordering stuff as I learn, just desperate for something to work.
Do you still go by the medicated food method Michael? I’m dealing with these for the first time ever - not knowing that a guppy (even tho I did quarantine it) had them.
It’s really upsetting, so I’m scared I’m gonna lose my entire tank. The two treatments Lev & Fen are really hard to acquire here (ban) but I did find a seller from another prov that has medicated food. If it gets to me, medicated food is my own bet.
These worms are hell, already one loss.
Yes, medicated food and gravel vacs. Also look for Goat dewormer with either of those meds.
@@MichaelsFishRoom Thanks Michael 🙏
not sure if my guppies have camallanus parasite or Gill and body flukes, they are flashing quite a lot! now one is sitting near the filter breathing quite rapid and lethargic, any suggestions would be appreciated, unfortunately in the UK we don't have access to antibiotics
Join cookies fishroom on FB I'll help u out there
Sorry I didn't answer sooner, what meds can you get?
@@MichaelsFishRoom no problem in the UK we have formaldehype based medications with copper or Acriflavine
Malachite Green .www.completeaquatics.co.uk/aquarium-accessories/aquarium-additives-and-treatments/aquarium-medications here is a link to most of them
