Excellent breakdown man. Really nailed it with the allies. The immediate reaction for a slingshotter like the Drothmaster is to ally in something big. These guys really struggle to do that since their “chaff” are so expensive. What I enjoy with the Leader Axe vs Bokaz comparison is that the Axe is way more blessing friendly. It’s far cheaper to apply +1 crit in a pinch than it is to add +1 attack making the axe a bit more versatile in that sense too.
Great breakdown. I kind never liked slow warbands but those guys look fun and they are packed with some great abilities. I will add Cyrenai and her squid to my list for some range treat and another beast on list to get more from that triple 😁
@@MrVidma1 I'm not saying it was great just fun XD Now they have some points breaks also which might help. I did a batrep here: th-cam.com/video/YEmXwiLP0Dc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OghE8p3qpyRYtlsT
Tempest Old Guard also gives you a Reaction to gain an extra Wild Dice, right? Helping with getting more trips and dubs for abilities for a dice-hungry faction?
I had a real juicy #6 Engulf in Flames with my scions a few days ago for 18 damage, These guy's quads is basically the same except no extra die on 6s, but usable on more models. When I noticed that, I felt even more compelled to pick these guys up, I was already intrigued at a full band with ranged in Warcry, man. I think I gotta have these guys. The models are also going to mesh excellently with my scions as Elementalists in Frostgrave.
I've played a few games now with and against them and they are super fun to play; And yeah, they have some pretty sweet abilities also :) I think you'll enjoy.
Very interesting! They seem potentially quite potent. I have a friend who's interested in them so I'll share this video with them and it may spur them on to buy a box. I do however think you may have slightly misinterpreted the probabilities of the Thane's Beserk Rampage ability. I believe that the chances of rolling at least one match is 66.5%, rather than that being the probability of rolling exactly one match. My reasoning for this is based on the fact that each dice has a 5/6 chance of not rolling the matching number. As 6 dice are rolled the chances of rolling no matches is therefore (5/6)^6, or 33.5%. Sadly (or if you're facing them thankfully) they don't have a greater than 90% chance of rolling at least one match!
I'm not entirely convinced that it's actually worth building into the trait. I had a chat with @wargamesontoast our resident flameseeker expert and you werent really bringing kyndledroth's anyway so building into something that you aren't likely to take isnt super fantastic in his opinion. IF you wanted to build into it though, I'd probably look at running 2x droth so that you have the flexability on when they die so that you can maximise the opportunity to bring them back.
yeah the triple is fucking disgusting. I don't know what kind of ur-gold the rules writers were snorting when they wrote this but it's OP as fuck. Get it out of the game.
And..... I have ordered them.
Great breakdown again as usual and these models look amazing too aesthetically.
many thanks :)
Hey bro loving your videos, could you consider reviewing and creating some fyreslayer lists please

For sure :)
Leaders wounds make him juicy for blessings since right below elite. I may wanna run these guys next league.
I definitely think that they've got the ability to be deceptively fast when they zip 9-12" across the board t1

I've played the squid before; loved every second :)
@OffMetaMusings with them or in other warband?
@@MrVidma1 The last time I played it was internally with Idoneth but I can see Cyreni working with VFS
@@OffMetaMusings Oh really I found them underwhelming, what list did you run? They might be better with battle trait

Yeah, that's right. Could come in useful in the latter half of the game when you are putting dice into other abilities

(VULKYN FLAMESEEKERS Battle Trait) [Triple] Reborn in Flame: how meany Kyndledroth should we run and is it worth it.?

It's true that it's real good. Those couple of boxes (flameseekers/KMK) were way better then some of the other warbands released
