Soo nice. Can't wait to have the money to get this one day! Glad the RGB LED bars are optional. Way too distracting. I want a classic pinball experience!
@@fidelchavezjr6629 Thank you! This is pretty much the end of the road in terms of added features... future editions will of course benefit from improved PC specs and GPUs as they become available
Woohoo! I cannot wait to get mine! I'm counting down the days! I could not believe when searching online that I was lucky enough to live within driving distance of the warehouse. After about 5x minutes of demoing the unit, I was 100% sold! Roland and Tony are great about answering any and all questions. This is the best Pincab there is! Hurry boat hurry! HYPED HYPED HYPED!
Ordered mine on Monday! Can't wait to get this beauty in the house and do a TH-cam review for my subscribers! To be honest, I just can't wait to get this set up and enjoy the best vp in the world! Tony was helpful and very on point with answering my questions. Very friendly.
Looks great! Glad to hear the side led strips are game activated. Looking forward to seeing some gameplay soon. Perhaps you could do a side by side showcase of the LED and OLED models during that video. Can't wait to buy mine!
This is great, you've done an outstanding job with this new pin! As for the OLED, I have to admit I am a little concerned about getting it, since you said it was a Consumer TV as opposed to industrial. In previous videos, one of your biggest selling points of your machines was that the screens that you use are the industrial model which will last a lot longer than the consumer models that other VP machines tend to use. I will have to watch your side by side comparison to ultimately decide if it's worth it to get the OLED edition or not. But that being said, I can't wait for that OLED showcase! Keep up the good work on continuing making awesome machines!
Thank you for your kind words... Please realize that the latest OLED panel technology is being manufactured by LG for the consumer segment primarily at this point in time. The latest 4th gen OLED panels have now reached an acceptable level of brightness and burn-in resiliency not found earlier models. We are finally able to source them in bulk and at a price point that allows us to utilize an OLED panel with the Ultra VP. LG offers a 5-Year Warranty on the C4 OLED panel showing that they are pretty confident in the durability of the product; we believe that to be true as well. INDUSTRIAL PANELS Ideally, we would love to be able to custom manufacture them for our specific application at an industrial quality level. It would allow to control the size and enclosure of the panel. As you probably know, consumer TVs are redesigned year after year where TV enclosures can change in size (even if only minutely) causing a problem for us if that requires cabinetry adjustments each year. CUTTING EDGE FEATURES As of right now, the newest OLED technology breakthroughs and quality improvements are not available at the industrial level; in other words, we expect using consumer grade OLED TV panels for the foreseeable future (probably at least for another couple of years). OUR DECISION Considering the overwhelming demand for OLED playfields in virtual pinball machines, we have decided to no longer manufacture the Ultra VP with the industrial 49" UHD 4K panels once the current stock level is depleted. We will of course have 49" replacement panels available to support our existing customers well into the future, but those do not fit into the new 8.0 OLED cabinets (the cabinet size of the new OLED model is slightly smaller to support our edge-to-edge design). COMPARISON VIDEO We will be posting the side-by-side comparison your a referring to mid-to-end November here on TH-cam. Thank you for your support!
Looks great!! Such cool machines. How will you prevent burn-in on the OLED panel? There are a lot of static elements on each table that might risk that..?
Actually, the software itself has settings to where nothing stays on the screen in the same position for more than about 30 seconds. Also, the new C4 OLED panel has built in AI functionality you can activate to alleviate burn in or even dead pixels. We always recommend that you shut down your unit after you're done playing.
Hi Roland, it's incredible that you're still improving the design of these, I thought my 6.0 was already perfection. :) Do you per chance have any news regarding the new software release? Also: have you ever considered building an arcade unit based on the square(ish) LG panels, or are they too expensive to source? Because I would seriously buy that.
:) The 3.0 software Will be released before the end of the year for sure, I'm hoping they will be done with it to coincide with the OLED Edition mid November. We are not planning on building arcade cabinets with squarish panels since not all emulators support them.
When is 3.0 software being released. My UVP 5 with 2.0 sofware is having issues with some of the tables. The Jukebox also stopped playing videos and I havent been able to get that to work. I have to reset the monitor settings for some of the pinball machines and the DMD stopped showing for FX games.
Do you not have a clone copy? As mentioned before the 3.0 software will be released before the end of the year. Hoping of course for it to become available when the OLED units arrive
Have you tried reinstalling with a backup? I haven't done an update in a few years. I'm not even sure when the last build was released. I've been occupied with other things 😖
@RecRoomWorld Unfortunately I do not have a clone of the drive. I was hoping when I got the machine to be able to download the 2.5 software and image a blank drive.
@phxmark I assume based on your reply, you are a second hand buyer? It's important to register your unit with us so that's you have the option to purchase extended support maintenance
Wow, looks amazing! This machine already has more than enough computing power for gaming and from a demo i played it feels like a real machine already too. So why not add some bling? The speakers look larger did they change?
We are not attending Expos at this point in time. Let us know where you're located and we can hopefully match you up with someone who hasn't 8.0 in your area.
Of course as soon as the OLED edition arrives we will make a comparison video side by side. Expect that you happen towards the end of November. Also anybody who wants an OLED edition units before Christmas needs to order now. A couple of weeks from now will be too late...
The UHD LED LG industrial monitor you're seeing in this video is a much improved version of our playfield monitor on earlier models, hardly any issues with viewing angles anymore. Yes the OLED may be better when it comes to viewing angles due to the nature of OLED technology allowing individual pixels to be turned on and off. That being said, nobody has been complaining about viewing angles on our playfield monitor since version 6.0. As you can see in the video, the monitor is high quality and more than sufficient for those who do not want to spend the extra money for an OLED panel.
That is why we have ON/OFF switches for every possible DOF device including the speaker LEDs. Keep in mind that video footage amplifies the reflection; you do not notice it that much in person. Nobody who has visited our showroom has ever mentioned it bothering them.
@@RecRoomWorld Good point, the general population’s average 200lb gorilla might not have the finesse to assemble something with so many bits and bops without creating a customer support nightmare.

Each upgrade version, I just shake my head in awe at how well these pinball machines keep getting Better! The "Cadillac" of Vpin machines 👍

What about the angle viewing on the OLED vs the one in the vid? Oled usually has great viewing angles.

i see the vertigo! will there be a video for it?
Of course... We will have a video on the Vertigo NXT before the end of the year when the softer forwards will be perfected and made available.
This is a gigantic ask, but is recroomworld thinking about ever making a flat pakked kit sans PC for the lazy DIYers?
We're not planning on offering flat packed kits since it would introduce too many support related issues.
