- Self-Realization Fellowship monk Brother Prafullananda shares wisdom from Paramahansa Yogananda about the astral world that lies behind the physical cosmos - and how we can expand our consciousness and as souls regain our native state of pure joy, ever one with the Divine.
Saints of all spiritual paths have lifted their consciousness into the realms beyond the physical - and have come back to explain that the purpose of life is to evolve our consciousness to higher and higher states.
The great ones show us how - by the practice of meditation - we can travel the same path of enlightenment they have followed.
This talk was recorded at the SRF Fullerton Temple in May 2022.

Chapter 43 is THEE most AMAZING CHAPTER EVER WRITTEN( probably )…. Of course the ENTIRE GITA is also in that category! Jai Sri Gurudev!
I totally agree about Ch. 43, and listen to it every day faithfully (Autobiography of A Yogi Audiobook on TH-cam). I never tire of it, and actually know most of it by memory at this point in time. Gave me an awesome awareness of the 3 planes of existence that I hadn't known about before. I LOVE SRF/YSS and all those involved with it !!! Since I grew up studying metaphysics at Unity Church (Christianity/Jesus), I was thrilled to discover that Jesus was actually part of the Kriya Yoga lineage/one of my paramgurus, as his teachings (interpreted metaphysically), were paramount in Unity Churchs' teachings. Have a blessed week...sorry such a lengthy reply...just excited that Im not alone about Ch 43!!!

So sorry, but can't resist to mention this (saw it sooo many times): Even after Brotherji said it, still a third of the attendees didn't assume correct meditation posture and were slumping in their chairs. How is this possible?!? Anyway .. Thank you for another great inspirational talk. Loved the intro with the stars and the black holes and the endlessness of the universe: This sets the dimension of what we're trying to attain and where Guruji is going to take us - if we cooperate ;)
