We're pretty tough on our RC equipment and based on the abuse we dish out at a spot like this, breakages are inevitable. An Arrma guy will tell you Traxxas sucks and vice versa but the truth is, they all break. That being said, the number of broken chassis' with the Arrma 3S/4S line seems out of control (much more than any other brand). A Traxxas might break suspension arms, knuckles, steering arms, etc but the parts are cheap and easy to replace. A chassis though, much more expensive (still not crazy, though) and a lot of work to replace. Arrma certainly needs to address this, maybe go back to their older plastic that was more resilient, or they risk ruining their well earned reputation for taking abuse!

At the minimum at least have metal pivot balls. Having a plastic chassis I can understand to keep costs down but having plastic pivot balls is just asinine on a $500 RC
Interesting to learn what the limits are! My guess is plastic chassis + heavy 4S lipo + 30ft jumps = cracked chassis. Should be an easy fix, maybe just add a piece of foam underneath the battery next time to absorb the forces. Otherwise the rest of the truck looks durable as heck!
The battery doesn‘t move when you jump, so there is no force from the upper side on the chassis. The force from the bottom side is much much stronger when landing. The bigger the battery, the bigger the force. If there is a little stone, the whole force is baled on that point and the Chassis cracks.
@@DaDa-ei1zz Ever sit in your car, hit the gas, then feel yourself get pushed back into your seat? Even though you're not moving much, you can feel the force from the acceleration.
