It doesn't have huge replay-ability, but Arcane Wonders' Mortum: Medieval Detective is a wild game. Their Air, Land, and Sea variants is also an interesting two player.
I wish I had someone to play Air Land and Sea with, as it does look really good. I'll look into the detective game. Thanks for the recommendation and for watching!
@@tabletopforoneThere’s at least one fan-made ‘Air, Land, and Sea’ solo mode out there. No disrespect meant to the developer, but I didn’t like it at all. It’s based on a complicated flow chart. If this, then that. Else something else. It was way too much work, like trying to solve a long algebra problem. Sometimes I think the best approach is to design a game so that each player is trying to gain points independent of the others, maybe like Dominion. Then in the solo mode you just have to beat a set number of points to win. And none of that “beat your highest score” stuff! That’s laziness on the part of the developer. Set victory conditions, and be done with it. But then again, I’m not a famous game developer. So what do I know? 🙂
I love this game. I have played it about 5 times. First game was the "i didn't play that correctly" game! Lol, but after that, it was very fun. All my plays have been easy mode so far.
Haha, all my first plays are always incorrectly played. I do love the discovery period where you "graduate" from learning rules to playing the game better each play. And I feel like I still have a ways to go with this one. Some decisions you make are so crucial, and you don't realize it until afterwards. Such a great game, and I'm glad you enjoy it.
Excellent review of a great game. I agree with you that the AI has a nice design. I wish there was slightly more options for the AI to score or not score points as a huge majority of the points come from the resources. Also, a few more different map boards would be beneficial. I can't wait for the next expansion Mundo Wonders Pack coming soon
Although I hope to play this game with my husband, it is nice to know how good the solo mode for it is. Thanks for the video, Daniel!
I think you'll love it two player as well, and I hope you do!
I have been really looking at this game for a while
If you like tile placement games, this is a great one!

That’s a pretty strong recommend.
What can I say? I've really enjoyed this one 😁
